As someone who grew up during 9/11 and was forced to watch the news every single night since I was 6 years old, I am devastated (but happy for Trevor), that he is leaving. As an adult, I became an ostrich and dug my head and the sand because I couldn’t handle the news, but 6 years ago, I found Trevor Noah that has really softened the blow to world events. Thank you, Trevor Noah. ❤️ You deserve all the happiness in the world. Best of luck. 💕

Trevor, you really made this show your own. I couldn't imagine it without Jon Stewart, but you kept it alive and breathed new life into it. I wish you all the best and hope your successor manages to uphold your and Jon's standards. In this day and age we need the daily show.

It really does say something about Trevor's likeability that pretty much none of us could have EVER imagined enjoying this show after Stewart (those are some gargantuan clown-sized-shoes to fill!), but he proved us very wrong. I couldn't hve ever imagined I'd still be watching this show all these years later, but I am! It's not the same as Stewart's show; it's its own thing, and that thing is beautiful!
Idk, it's just kinda remarkable for an almost _entirely unknown outsider_ to take up those reigns and wiggle his way into our hearts. I genuinely did not think it was possible to follow John Stewart, but Trev and the crew found a way 🙂

When Trevor took over the Daily Show in 2015, I was finishing college in Iowa. As a foreigner living in America, during the Iowa Caucus and right before the 2016 elections, it was reafirming to have a foreigner and POC speaking on national TV about US Politics- in a country and state that constantly excluded me from certain discussions with a constant reminder of "you don't know how things work here"(as if I haven't been following US politics my entire life even from abroad), Trevor represented me, he vindicated my right to speak and many times through satirical comments or harsh remarks he spoke on my behalf and many times for me and other imigrants in America. There was no other public figure in America that represented me or my views better than Trevor.
We watched Trevor with my entire international crowd in my tiny apartment in college: paraguayans, mexicans, nigerians, rwandans and indonesians laughing together with Trevor about the emerging candidate that was rising to become president- the hostility against us was also becoming more aparent on campus as the popularity of the candidate rose. Watching the Daily Show together was our safe space. I moved to the east coast right before the elections for graduate school. I continued to follow Trevor- the tradition of watching the Daily Show came along with me. Trevor was there to help us laugh about the crazy remarks Trump made in my college campus- that he could shoot someone on 5th Ave in NYC and still have popular support- and Trevor continued there when Trump won.
He helped me and many others process everything that was happening with pragmatism but also with humour.
I had the chance of seeing Trevor during grad school in 2017, he visited Penn campus for an open dialogue. I realized at that moment, at the Irvine auditorium full of POC and foreign students how he had become such an important figure for many of us across the US.
Thank you Trevor for the past 7 years at the Daily Show!

"We tell people to follow their dreams, but you can only dream of what you can imagine, and, depending on where you come from, your imagination can be quite limited. The highest rung of what's possible is far beyond the world you can see." While breaking the glass ceiling of what a foreigner can be and do in the America (such as being the host of a major american show) you allow us, other immigrants, to amplify our imagination of what is possible.

Trevor is the only host I listen to.. I'm in shock and will miss him so much. He took a while to grow on me and like an outstanding entree (rare) which leaves the taste buds flower instead of recoil wanting more, I found such sustenance from his commentary and watching him grow into his own was an honor. I really can honestly say I love him. Godspeed dear man.

Not just for the way delivers the seriousness of the news of the day with the funniest of twists and imaginations/ impressions, but also his seemingly deep knowledge.
