I've been all over the United States and several countries overseas. Seen some mighty beautiful scenery, but l never traipsed in Vermont. Your video's have made me regret that. Too old now, but l'm blessed to be able to enjoy through your work. Thank you. 😀
So.. just to get the shot he crosses the creek on the slippery log then has to cross back over to get his camera. Thats called being devoted to your craft!. Love it
I hope you get to keep the seated quarter !!!!!
Those hame balls make good ends to walking sticks. Fill them with molten lead put a twisted sapling in and lacquer it all up.
Great video but a sad story of the family losing the house in the flood so long ago ! Nice seated liberty quarter ! I have only found a 1877 seated liberty dime on the place where was raised that my great grandfather had homestead !
Blown away at the quality of your videos. I like your goal of searching for sites based off of local lure and stories. Keep up the great camera work and the cool finds!
Thanks so much, glad to hear you're enjoying them! More to come!
The creeks are so beautiful, love the sound of the water, trickling down the stream, and the moss on the trees, the water looks so clear, and clean. tfs
I have always loved history ever since I can remember. It lets us know how we got here today and so many people forget about it in the fast pace world we live in today. But I guess what I’m trying to say is thank you Brad for what you do and to everyone watching, let’s slow down and leave some history for someone else to find hundreds of years later. God bless America.
These are the videos I enjoy. Explaining the history and finding items that support the story. Great job Brad
Pretty sure that fancy buckle is a ladies garter clasp . Always great to see such stunning country an relics .
Very honorable to give the findings to the landowner. I'm afraid that doesn't always happen in this day and age. Just reinforces the type of person you are. Kudos.
Great hunt nice seated , I found two croto bells the same day last week in a place I have hunted a dozen times but we have had a lot of rain could of maid the difference.
Hi Brad, your investigating skills are awesome to behold, you know how to read the land and how to get yourself for the most part on the right spot, very impressive. Such a sad story, I can just imagine the sheer panic of watching the river rising hour by hour and then that horrible decision of finally saying goodbye to the home you've known and loved up there in those beautiful mountain woodlands. An amazing story that you were able to bring to life and to bring tangible proof back to the owner. Such a cool hunt, thanks so much for sharing. x
You asked the owner of the land he told you that you could look there so I think that stuff should be yours! 😀🐺
Beautiful Seated Liberty Quarter. Love it!
That quarter was awesome. Very nice trip.
Excellent. To hunt down an historical event for a land owner and bring back relics and coins. What an honor.
Great hunt! Enjoyed the video yet again. And the seated quarter.... well..... awesome save my friend! Good luck on your next 😎
Thanks so much, Chad!
Congratulations on finding that Seated Liberty!
I love the beautiful scenic shots that you include in your videos!
Peace and love from VT. Nice finds
I much like that you stop and film the roses every now and then. ( )----------D----C Keep Swinging My Friend
I would love to see videos of the interactions between landowners like this and you showing the stuff you found. Maybe something to think about for future videos?
That was some awesome finds! Just finding the home site area is impressive...
Great hunt . The finds will be great for the owner that's sentimental for the owner that's a bit of family history they got back.
Wow I've been skipping around did he tell the family he would give them what he found?
I love your shows. This is something I wish I could do but can't. Thank you for making these shows so I can feel like it is me searching!
16:20 Door knob (covering where the shaft goes through the door) (BEAUTIFUL QUARTER!!)
What a great way to end the hunt! Hope you get a chance to hunt it again! H.H.!
That was quite an adventure, Beautiful camera shots, excellent editing, breathtaking scenery & of course, the AMAZING FINDS, including SILVER 😎
His videos and pictures of the scenery are the best. I love seeing Vermont in the forest areas. Virtually untouched after being abandoned in decades past.
We're definitely on the same page about that, here's wishing you a great day 😃
Biggest fan in East milton MA and I Always enjoy my ventures with Brad! You always engage the viewer as if we are along right with you as you make history very alive in every artifact that you discover and you refresh by making the connection to the last person to have touched and held the exact item that you, your self are holding. Very Proud of you Green Mountain Boy’s and all of Vermont.
Cool quarter! Congrats on your first seated quarter!
I have such problems crossing logs like that. Usually my balance is great, i have walked on many a joist in my day, but i cannot balance when the water is moving under me. Makes me feel like the ground is moving and throws me all off. Add a dash of panicky thoughts about falling in a stream and im done and wobbling all over the place. I usually straddle the log and hump my way across. So you mentioned crossing on the log and i thought, “man is he gonna do one of those shots where he crosses and then comes back for the camera?” Then you did and i was like “yup, he done tip toed across that log three times in a row with the prowess of a cat.” Very daring, just for a good camera shot, especially considering the cold temps and being out in the mountains with nary an Eddie to save you, nor a change of stylish clothes in case you fell in. I appreciate the hard work and risks you take to get us a simple camera shot, let alone the awesome finds, so thank you for that entertainment good sir. Happy friday to you and everyone as well.
I am really glad that you found that quarter, a good day out to remember! and musket balls!
My husband and I found our first shoe buckle from the 1700's, thanks to you and your awesome videos I recognized what we had when we dug it up....thanks from Saint John, New Brunswick Canada!
That's so great to hear, congrats on the buckle!
Excellent ! Perseverance paid off with the quarter. Nice footwork on the log crossing.
Congrats on the Seated Quarter Brad, very exciting, Hope you can get back there sometime, Bet there is treasures all up and down that river to find, :>)
Cool dig on the hane knobs and pocket knife and the liberty quarter! Go back again! Very cool!!😊😊
Dang, man, are you part cat? The way you crossed that water sure looked like it. Those are really beautiful mountains. You have a photographer's eye for some really great pictures.
Sweet find!!!! & sweet spot!!!!! Sweet video!!!!!!
Always great, I like 'before' I watch :)
A favorite - thanks, Brad
Forty degrees, I'm so jealous. It was 90 here again today.. Congrats on the seated.
Another great hunt. Excellent balance Beautiful country l wish that I was there with you.Jonathan from Arkansas
Brad,
Giving you the nick name of land detective! Nice job locating the area and trying to place yourself in the era based on your surroundings. Great editing again and music. Onwards and Upwards my friend. Amazing finds!
The worst part of your adventures for me is when they end. Can’t wait for the next one!
Beautiful scenery. You live in a lovely area of our country.
You have a real instinct for this stuff. If I tried that, I'd come home with 2 boots full of water and nothing else. lol Great finds, man! Love the seated. HH
Awesome video! It's cool you were able to confirm the legend. It would be cool to detect farther down the river for things that would have washed away.
Great act crossing the log. Keep up the history backstory - it's great.
As usual - awesome video and great finds.
Your videos pushes all the right buttons from how you find the sites to how you highlight the scenery to the treasures you find. Absolutely wonderful to watch.
So glad to hear that, thanks!
Nicely done. Something about walking in the woods by a rushing stream puts life in perspective...thanks.
Thanks for the history hunt. Nice finds and beautiful quarter.
What a treat to wake up to your awesome video this morning! That Seated Quarter from 1845 was certainly a helluva find!! I think I was shaking too! 😆 As always, the music, the cinematography, the gorgeous views and your excellent knowledge of the finds you make, never disappoint! Best of luck in this new season! You're off to a GREAT start, my friend!! Yahoo! See you next week!
That's really cool to find dates that collaborates the time line of the story plus SILVER!!! The coins Nice all the items match up great work Brad!!!; )👍👍👍👍👍👌
Bam, seated quarter. Congratulations, way to go! Happy for you.
You never disappoint , great finds . Tks for sharing another great video
Thanks so much, William!
Shame on whomever disliked this video! Great work man!
Thanks friend!
Awesome find on the seated liberty 👍👍 keep up the great videos and good luck with your search 👍🌞
Great adventure as always! Congrats on finding that quarter, what a great end to the day! Many thanks for your awesome videos!
Brad your videos are great! The music you make is very tasteful. Thanks for posting.
I agree, love the soundtrack!
What a great day! Too bad the spring weather can be so unpredictable. Glad you had common sense to understand how the creeks can rise up to be monsters.
I'm surprised that birch 'bridge' wasn't too slippery and fragile to walk on. Many times they look solid, but crush with the slightest pressure.
As you said, that grandfather will really enjoy seeing that beautiful quarter. It will give him proof that the family story is true. Not that he needs 'proof'.
Great video, Brad!!!
Great stuff as usual. You take us on great adventures.
Beautiful location. Real interesting story and finds. Thanks!
You know your a great outdoorsman when you can balance on wet logs crossing a running river
Or an even better outdoorsman when you use a long branch to help cross a log or stream. If that guy had slipped and strained an ankle he would be in big trouble hiking on his own like that. Did he have any dry clothes, etc, in case he got a ducking in an icy cold mountain stream? Jumping boulders and other risky shit is for amateurs.
Wow!!! Posted my comment before the end... that 1845 seated quarter is sick!!! Congrats bud... love the IHP n fancy buckle too!!! AWESOME digs !!!!
Nice hat trick with the three dated items. Wow, a seated 1845 quarter. Fabulous.
They must have been thrilled to see those finds, so exciting - the curious item, looks a bit like part of a brass door handle - (seen similar on old handles in England, perhaps) the hanes knobs were a special find - but I wouldn't have been happy living that close to that stream, hard to get a good night's sleep...! Sad story...
Great looking Seated quarter, those are one of my favorite coins! Really nice job on the video even though you had to deal with the rushing water sounds, I could still understand everything you were saying. I miss those crystal clear mountain streams, brings back a lot of fond memories. All the rivers around me in Ohio are always silty.
This was such a peaceful relaxing video and great finds as well. Thank you!
Thanks for watching, Suzan!
That scene of you walking that log was fantastic!
Congratulations!! Maybe more stuff in the river/stream might be worth a revisit in the summer or late fall when the water level is lower
70% of the children today would not be able to pass the tree over the river like you did..... Bravo!
Great job Brad, beautiful photog too. Excellent video thanks man!
Great start to this seasons search for history!
What a beautiful place ❤️
Great as usual! Will you go back and detect more there? It would fun.

Wow...Awesome Seated!!!
Love your to watch your hunts.
You are always finding good treasures. Keep them coming.
Awesome place with some awesome finds! "You have been sat down", (The Hoover Boys). Lol. That seated quarter is a sweet find, did it have a mint mark? But to me, that matching set of hame knobs was the best find. That was cool and very rare to find the set.
Uh... WOW!! Loved the finds & scenery!!
Really enjoy your editing.... great videos. Great story telling. Please keep up the great work
That is an absolutely gorgeous mountain stream!
