Falling into Psychological Trap. Botvinnik vs Bronstein 1951. Game 7

- Bronstein hasn't mentally recovered after the tragic blunder in game 6, and Botvinnik skillfully exploits this in game 7. In a slightly better middlegame he makes a lot of waiting moves, expecting Bronstein's patience to run out. Bronstein falls into this psychological trap, as he didn't like defending passively. He makes an impulsive move, which lets Botvinnik transition to a knight endgame with an extra pawn. Botvinnik demonstrates brilliant endgame technique and takes the lead in the match.

After the missed (a3!) last game and a big oversight, or rather as if he wasn't mentally there, in the game at the end, and he had all the time in the world to draw, the punishment is coming!
