Ben, I don't think we are terrible at set pieces...have we been atrocious at defending some of them? Yes, but overall we are not terrible, the real problem is we allow too many set pieces. Our percentage of goals conceded to set pieces is better than Liverpool (10 goals, 140 corners, 7.14%) and Villa (14 goals, 148 corners, 9.46%) and not far of Arsenal (6 goals, 107 corners, 5.61%) Spurs have conceded 14 goals (same as Villa) against 218 corners for 6.92%. If Arsenal conceded the same amount of corners they would be at 12 goals conceded and if Villa conceded the same amount of corners as us they would be at 20 goals conceded. Can we improve on our set piece defending?...without question, but it's the number of set pieces we are conceding that's the problem. The real issue is the midfield and how hopeless they have been for so long, that ball is coming straight back to us when we try to progress it and our back four are having to constantly scramble back because of our non-existent midfield creating these corners from clearing the ball. Interestingly, the only team worse than us for conceded corners in the to 6 is United with 250 corners, but only 12 goals conceded for 4.8%. City has been magnificent (2 goals, 119 corners, 1.68%).

When bentacur is back to his best, I want him to see him in the 6. His passing range is much better than bissouma. Bissoumas dribbling was so impressive at the beginning of the season and now he’s completely without confidence he doesn’t look good. We need a winger that relishes 1v1s as well on the left.

Would like to see four across in midfield also. With an emphasis on running/ working we have subs. Run your socks off for 55- 60 min then put on a 1,2,3 new midfielders. The flat footed pacing around in midield cannot be accepted we have a deep bench in the midfield. The second someone starts walking around, not making runs, not tracking back you get subbed I dont care if it 20 min in it sets a tone.

Managers come managers go, we buy players for big money and then can't give them away. Trophyless year after year, so who's fault is it? Well the only ever present is Levy and his cronies. If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is more likely it is a duck.

It was so poor yesterday, no excuses, but like I always say it’s all part of of this painful rebuild, the players are all out of form, we just have to play ourselves out this period, this period will let Ange know whose up for a fight or not, we were not taking risk with our passing, our wingers are not good enough 1v1, we need to take more responsibilities, I was very disappointed with Son. Think we can’t compare other teams progress with ours and teams develop differently, I still think we would play ourselves out of it
