So good as a Spurs fan to have the brilliant Simon Jordan articulate what Ange is talking about. I personally listen to Celtic fans when, as Ange joined us, they said...it will take until year 2 before we see the germination of success. Considering where we wre when he took over, I give Ange THREE years. Year 3 is when I expect us to be winning a cup. After that, assuming we are still where we are now, ONLY THEN would I question his ability at this level. Most of this crap is just down to journalists who have their own agenda (a story) and the fact they are blinded by this rather than actually think for themselves.

I get that however as a rival fan I look at it from an angle that SPL is a lower league and the managers aren't as good as what we have in the EPL. These guys here and thr teams will figure u out just like what has happened. Ange seems stubborn n doesn't want to alter his tactics based on the opposition he meets. If he doesn't develop this habit then it's a waste of time.

@@tilewajohnson4427 Good points mate. However, I just have a gut feeling that if we start to sack people again after 1/2 seasons, we are back to square 1. It's just a feeling I get...I'm 65 now and been going to Tottenham since 1967. Seen mmany great players, great wins etc....but I do believe, given time and enough transfer windows....something very special will happen here.

I've just realised that if I were Daniel Levy I wouldn't have the gall to show my face.
When I started supporting Spurs in the early 1980s we were a successful cup team with a decent trophy room.
The owners have turned our club into a joke.
Which team on earth has spawned a new adjective, Spursy, to denote abject failure.
Over the last twenty years we have had three generational talents, Modric, Bale, Kane, with one shit cup to show for it.
This is far bigger than Ange.

I give up !!. From what Ange has said and the way he is managing.
He is not interested in changing anything.
He is not interested in coaching.
He wont admit that anything is wrong.
He only wants to play in half the pitch leaving us wide open to easy counter attacks.
By compressing our attacking play he is putting our whole team under extreme pressure all the time, which reduces planning and thinking time; and conversely gives our opponents more time to think and react.
He insists on playing the rigid zonal marking system in defence, which leaves our players out of position and bewildered.
He doesn't play to our teams strengths, or even care what they are, and he demands everyone plays his team style whether they are suited to it or not.
He doesn't play to our players strengths so they they are compromised due to his lack of planning, thus passing the problem onto the next player or player's in the team.
He doesn't care how opposition teams play, so Spurs are tactically under prepared for what we are about to face.
Substitutions seem to be made in an ad-hoc fashion with poor timing. 'seat of the pants stuff'.
Team selections don't seem to be made on merit or form, and if player's aren't buying into Ange's system they get the cold shoulder.
It is also apparent that player's are trained to excess given the number of training ground injuries we have endured.
I'm sure there is more that could be said, but blaming the player's for this mess isn't one of them .
The player's are not mind-readers nor are they automatons. They deserve respect as human beings and deserve a plan with reasoned tactics to tackle the formidable obstacles that other opposing team's players and tactics present.
I don't see Ange's approach winning anything in the Premier or Football League. And I don't think any European football will be on the cards next season.
I wish I was wrong about all this but stubborn myopic managers are not what Tottenham Hotspur needs.
Ange has to go. because he cant adapt.

Son hasn’t been as effective because he has no left back to create overlapping runs with so he’s literally being double covered every time he gets the ball as he’s our only attacking threat. Combined with having to play most games from behind in the scoreline and the fact he has one of the leading goal involvements for the season is ridiculous

Ben's comment about the midfield problems seems close to the bullseye. After having watched this system all season, it seems that the midfield bears the most responsibility for creativity and decision making. The other positions are fairly straightforward--defenders defend and get the ball to the mids/wingbacks, wingbacks cover the touchlines then invert, wingers recieve the ball wide and look for the cross, striker works the box for a tap in. In all of that it falls on the midfielders to read the opposition and figure out how to open them up. This part of the game is the most difficult intellectually and most variable from game to game. Simply, it makes sense that this will be the last piece of the puzzle that gets resolved. I get the impression that once the system was 'found out', defenses throughout the league found solutions, and the slow pace at which our midfielders have been able to adapt to these 'solutions' and create more/better chances have contributed to a natural fatigue within the squad, especially concerning morale. That said, patience is paramount at this stage. Patience and love. COYS!!!

Reality check: Harry Kane carried most of Spurs offense for years and he’s gone, the N. London derby was decided by wonky officials who have no accountability, we’ve been without a starting left back for the last two games, Ange got a few good games out of Bissouma, unlike Conte. I’m puzzled by some of Ange’s decisions, but remember how he brought Celtic back to life. Finally, after 60 years supporting Spurs, I believe most modern “Spurs fans” are bandwagon followers who want to whinge and moan rather than truly follow our team! COS

Whilst this current form is concerning it’s also somewhat understandable. Major change in style and the physical demand it has brought on and pitch and in training has obviously tested the players the longer the season has gone on. At this point it’s easier for the players to abandon belief and return to their basic instinct, the ones with real desire will dig in more. Examples of real desire is Cuti and VdV, also a reason I think Cuti was singled out after the Arsenal game by Ange as the example. The players that don’t have the real fight inside them will go eventually, it won’t matter who they are. Udogie missing has shown how much his desire has propped some players up

I'd consider Bissouma a sell for mentality challenges, and perhaps Kulu as well. Love all these players, but a 6-7 player clean out seems reasonable and necessary. Bring in the youth, Bergvall, a massive 6, a proven winger, back up wing backs and the trebel.

Why does Son have to be the only one to do everything well?
When Son catches the ball, basically two defenders follow him. Son is often isolated..His teammates don't even pass to him. Is it because of his position surrounded by defenders or the weak middle fielders' skill...?
And there is no player who finishes perfectly when Son assists.
How about Free kick? .. also trying to take away from Son. What on earth should Son do??????? Son is good at counterattack. But his teammate throws(passes) a speed-killing pass. To make matters worse, Ange even made him defend a set-piece.
Doesn't each player have different strengths and each position's roles? ..
Anyway, at the moment, Son is your Captain. Your captain is having a hard time. If you've ever been happy for a moment because of Son, it's your turn. I sincerely ask you to give Son your support and encouragement and love rather than criticism..PLEASE...
Remember even Kane abandoned you for the trophy.

WARNING - Heresy opinion up coming ...... Son has regressed too much in the last two years... A combination of injury and age means he has lost his electric pace. He is now so easy to defend against as that was his main weapon..... In comparison a great winger of old in Chris Waddle never had much pace but was incredibly skilful and could turn defenders inside and out, Son doesn't have this. A top manager would've benched him long ago.... I know we all love him but time (and or injury) catches up to every player, some sooner than others.

SERIOUSLY....Looking at the comments, what a bunch of merchants you all are. This is Ange's first season. The geezer has started well behind the pack so will take 3 years to start to produce. If the fans turn against him, he will have no chance and we will continue to be in the quagmire. Let's give the geezer THREE YEARS..... and we will get there. NO DOUBT!.. No fkn wonder we are called fickle. These two yids don't help either. Btw...VDV was superb against Chelsea.

I can't say we are anywhere near being a team when there are only 3 players that should be starting (udogie, Vdv, and romero )
Then the some likes of kulu, son, benta, sarr and porro need to perform or get dropped.
The rest can go in the sell box( I wasn't included this years signings but im not against selling for example a madders or johnson if ange decides it not asking for it just saying im with anges choice).
Vicario is a bit different because i think with a better backup, he would have been better from either the competition or just someone who was a bit meaner, showing him how to command a box.
And really need a captain next season nobody currently has shown how to lead. my choice would be romero but he always seems off when given it he needs to be given the freedom to smash a player when needed

3/400 Million? NONSENSE! Who were the best team in the last 25 years...Man Utd...Captain? Keane. How on earth did Wimbledon win the FA Cup from non league status? Captain? Vinnie Jones. Look at Dave MacKay.....All this team needs is a FU captain. Someone the dressing room is scared of. Only then will we move up a gear. They don't have to be a great player...just a fkn headcase on the pitch who will strike fear into the players that aren't giving over 100%. There HAS to be just 1 out there....somewhere.
