  • The Scary Truth About Cole Palmer That Nobody is Noticing
This video is about a player who is shy off the pitch but lets his football speak loudly on the pitch. This video is about a player who is going toe to toe when it comes to goals and assists with players like Mo Salah, Son Heung-Min, and Saka while playing his first season for a new team in a new setup. This video is about probably the only positive thing in a below-average Chelsea season. This video is about Cole Palmer.
We will see how he nearly got kicked out of his Manchester City academy, how he grew into the brilliant footballer that he is right now, and we will compare him with one of the greatest maestros of recent times and how he might even surpass him.
Let's start from the top, Cole Jermaine Palmer was born on May 6, 2002, in Wythenshawe, Manchester. Wythenshawe is dominated by middle-class families, and Cole Palmer’s was no different.

Not going to lie i thiugh he seemed overall fairly average and just having an excelent run of form but after seeing more of him, hes both improved a tone really quickly and hes a seriously inteligent player, he really knows exactly how to play to cause the most chaos. Its a very underappreciated ability to have, players like thomas muller have shown how effective this can be. Muller himself was a top tier player, never a superstar but certainly world class, and the thing is cole palmer has more natural talent and athleticism, if he can emulate mullers insane football mind too he could be this generations maestro.
Really puts an extra sour note on us signing mount who lets face it has only ever been a good player that talent wise was a long way off the likes of lampard, who for some strange reason seems to be criminally underated these days. I hate to say it since i hate the prick but people should definately appreciate gerrard more too. Hes everything a real football fan wants in a player mentality wise and attitude too. I do miss the old derbys, the sparks between the true leaders and the skill battles too were epic. To the point that i couldnt even really dislike torress with all the reason in the world too.
Also i will mention carrager, i hated him as a player, dislike him for his liverpool connections and he was a great cb but was never that amazing. The dude did however have the right attitude, grit, aggression and most importantly passion for his club.
Those days are gone at this point. Even the current very good liverpool squad, just lacks real characters and true leadership, the only one id credit it VVD but hes quite laid back so its still not the same. Trent does have the makings though if he adds more agreesion, combatitiveness and leadership to his game. Hes currently an elite player and yes you could say he needs to improve other aspects to be a world beater but tbh i dont think he realy does. He just need tk play into his skilset more and to do that he needs to be able to command others and really dictate the positioning of others around him, offensively and defensively. He truelly could be a monster. Similar to my earlier comment i think hes very much like gary neville, he lacks defensively and charachter wise, plus gary had an underated engine on him but ne has way more natural athleticism, hes better with the ball at his feet and hes faster. Talent wise he could be better, its just if he can raise his mental game and add more grit to his playstyle. Bulking a tad also might be a good idea.
To truelly hate a club you must also have some level of appreciation or respect for them, thats why city doing so well was awful and demoralising but was no where near as sobering and irritating as the scoucers success. Plus i have all the respect and appreciation in the world for klopp, was devistated when you lot got him, and it got worse over time as he proved how much desire he could provoke in his players, form system that regardless of personnel and injuries, still had a shape, strategy and clear playstyle, and finally he brought back real hope and success on a shit budget with liverpools also poor ownership. It was just biggest middle finger contrast you could get.
I want nothing more than to see man utd, city, liverpool, arsenal and chelsea all having propper systems, playstyles and highlevel squads with minimal injuries. That would truelly make for one of the best seasons ever and the wins against big clubs would feel so much more meaningful. It seems like united beating a big team is always just a fluke and us losing tk a big team is just considered to be an expected outcome these days and it ruins the experience not just for us untied fans but for the winning sides too, the same can be said about chelsea their fall has honestly been quite a sour feeling. They should be at minimum fighting for the cl spots.
Ps id group spurs in with the likes of villa and honestly id still see villa as way more likely to actually progress, they can nip at the heels of the big vlubs and maybe displace or outperform a few here and there but currently nothing more, spurs needs a cllub restructure like united, the mentality alone is just shit. Villa just has a lower budget, less squad depth and may stuggle to keep big players. Tbf if villa lose diaby and bring in elise from palace they may actually end up stronger so i wouldnt write them off either way.

I only saw him play 1 match before he left City and yet I was shocked he was let go so easily. I just think he chose the wrong club: Arsenal, Newcastle, Villa or Brighton would have been better for his development, but hey good luck lad

So he is leagues top score, playes for newly assembled team who only few years ago won the CL and Club World Cup, has a recall to England National Team and you want him to join the teams who won nothing major in the last few decades to develop better! Why do you think he would have developed better anywhere else in the EPL when he play for the most decorative or successful team in EPL in the last 25 years!?

As a city fan. I believe selling Palmer and under utilising Alvarez has potentially lost us the league this year. Cole would have shined during De Bruyne’s absence in the midfield.
