@@soulless2962 Wonder if the spear has some type of auto lock on if you don't pick a target. Still impressive.
@@Zrayel no you can aim spells without a lock, but just a bit in your facing direction, like if you look up a bit it goes a bit higher

That was really badass. I'd probably win the lottery before pulling something like that off.
The whip is actually funny to use against Malenia, because it ever so slightly outranges her aggression in the first phase but still staggers her, allowing you to tickle her down without even having to dodge.
At 7:00, showing them the illusory wall is actually big brain because it confirms who the host is (only the host can reveal them). If the invader wasn't paying attention to the name shown when you first spawn, it's a great counter to the talisman in play here.

That number one was amazing! It reminded of the Bloodborne player that did the triple kill plunging attack with the players climbing the ladder.

In case some people aren’t aware some buffs don’t stack with each other and will cancel each other out. Pay attention to your ui as you buff and you’ll see

@@punchgamer7979 I’m telling the people who don’t know that’s a thing. The games doesn’t tell you what buffs stack and which ones don’t so I was saying that to educate others
There's different "places" buffs go. As everyone should know, weapon buffs don't stack. So neither do "body" buffs. Dragonbolt, Black Flame Blessing, and Flame, Grant me Strength, are all body buffs. Regen blessings are their own thing and Golden Vow is it's own as well, so they can stack with body buffs.

11:25 the invader was out of heals so he had no other option than to go on the offensive. Killing the summon restored a heal.

7:45 Useful tip: dont lock onto anything while rolling near edges.
That last one was actually really well done, considering unlike most spells and incants, spell-like Ashes of War font have any homing feature without being locked on, the Gransax included.
This is why elden ring is amazing. So many tactics to use, and when they work you enjoy the game even more

The invader with the great hammer at the beginning was not actually a player! It was the NPC summon Great Hornend Tragoth!

Has anyone considered how sad it is that you make targoth help you kill the one boss, which stopping you from killing targoth. Literally a Chad with a big stick just helping a bro out and you use that opportunity to kill him. 💀
I immediately clicked on this. Dark Souls top 10 from 2014-2015 is HUGE piece of nostalgia for me. And now it's back, bigger than ever!
In real life the Misericorde (6:20) was a sidearm designed to deliver a coup de grâce to armored opponents, so this is entirely on-brand usage.

@@norishimogawa6125 it’s actually pretty accurate. They do a sort of Rashomon thing where you see a lot of the same actions and conversations from three different perspectives, but as far as the actual historical events and how things would go it’s pretty firmly in line with the records we have.

It really is great. The kills might not be anything particularly special, but that invincibility is an anti-gank feature the games have needed forever. You love to see it.

Missed these so much! Glad they're back. I love how creative invaders are! Almost always outnumbered they have to be smart. I know not everyone has Chase or G9 level but still, these showcases are awsome!

@@MrIwont4get Im currently very restricted with how much time I can play, so Im current on my way to finish my first playthrough. And as usual, once that is done I'll deep dive into PvP. Always has been this way since DS1 :)

The amount of arcane at the 1 spot is insane.
The number 2 one was insane. Best fight ever. You missed that he couldn’t heal, he had to get that kill to get his flask back. And chooses to do another attack when he knows the other 2 are just a second away, it was the most tense moment.
Agree. Wondering what his armor was though. Thought it was the Sanguine Noble at first but don't remember it having a cloak nor it being metallic looking.

Man I really wish I had time to upload my clip. I ran into a grace room at faram azula as an invader. My build was a prelate cosplay with prelates charge. There were 3 people dropping items and I ran in and tapped l2 once. It hit all three of them as a combo since their poise wasn’t high enough and I dropped them all down to one shot range. They began to panic roll backwards into the other room and got absolutely merked by a dragon through the wall with a bite move. All 3 in one move haha. It was beautiful like a rhythm game.
Duuuuuuude! That #1 kill was a whole different level from the other kills. That man no scoped a Lightning Spear across the canyon!!!! Like that was pure luck but insane with the damage. The other invasions were insane on their own. I can't wait to see more!

on the number 2 submission i noticed you said it was a calculated risk for the invader to try to kill the phantom instead of heal but i wanted to say that he actually couldnt of healed atleast not with a flask as he was out of charges and gained 1 back when the phantom died so i think he really only had one option there and it was to kill the phantom
#2 had insane presence of mind when trapped to not spam roll but to go for a jump to get out of the corner, sick stuff :)

That last free aim kill was insane, that weapon is almost impossible to free aim and hit someone with unlike many other weapon arts and spells.

It's nice to see some people are still getting creative. Whenever I PVP in Elden Ring I just get ganked by broken builds
I would just like you to know my brother and I once got invaded by Mario, just inside the castle after Limgrave. The man only used fireballs and the buttstomp. Best invader I've ever had, poor man's missed a jump between platforms in the elevator shaft where the halberd knight guy is. He died a champion, not of combat, but of my heart.
I like to wear shitty armor and just troll around as an invader.

When I invade I always drop a small gift if they honor the old bow thing. If not I swap to RoB and murder them.
Normally I use either MBB or a royal knights great sword with the Horah Loux ash.
What I find crazy about this game is how like, half a year later, people are still finding new and crazy builds. It's like the amount of builds you can go for are almost unlimited.

Aw man. I had an excellent one where someone severed finger'd me after quite an intense and fun duel where I'd got them down and just needed one more hit; but just as the screen started to fade, the three seeking bolts from the cuckoo glintstone I'd thrown at them immediately prior plunged into their back, killing them.
It was beautiful.
Unfortunately I was so stunned that I didn't think to hit record for a full 60 seconds and I hadn't set it up to retain any more than default 30. Such a loss.

Every time, Komreed makes a fantastic entrance
I have to say, my experience with invaders in this game and with my own Blue Sentinel expeditions have been significantly different. Players seem to actually want to invade instead of coming in, poking you and running back towards monsters to ambush you with every time. That and they seem more honorable. I tend to fight invaders one on one when they invade my friends world as a phantom and the phantoms tend to take the fight willingly. Don't know why that's more of a thing from previous games but it's refreshing when there's a certain level of respect with invasions.
Invading sucks because you will likely get an annoying ass host with a summon who gank you. Getting invaded or being a blue is alright because you will more likely be able to 1v1 the invader
@@fran0708 I mean my friends and I will gank if need be, if we're far into a run and having found a grace or shortcut. But if I guy shows up and gives a bow, then he'll get some 1 v 1 action, the host can usually resummon us.
@@jordanshumaker4412 I use one shot sneak builds so far, duels are nice and fun but it's so rewarding to kill someone without them even knowing what happened

this must be what regular humans in an isekai anime see when the hero shows up, just completely powerless, but number 7 was godlike...the transition from the deer to the waterfowl attack was insane, i imagine he could have chilled out next to the guy for a few sec but would miss his opening
I thought they would have noticed it was kind of gliding/hovering without the legs moving. I imagine I'd notice that... maybe not. I don't play online, so this is all pretty new for me to see. I'm gathering that the "rune level" mentioned here has to do with rune arcs? Assuming that since it seems to be the main/only(?) prize for winning these fights.
My favorite thing to do is use unendurable frenzy with the spawn protection, gets them everytime
