@@NationalNotary Please have Anne do more videos. I have watched several and she is the best at getting to the point.
Very good information! Thank you!
Our pleasure!
Most of the jobs on signing order seem to pay the same, 38 page closing or Reverse Mortgage 277 pages, both pay 75 to 90 dollars. Seems odd to me. Also, why do they wait to the last moment to get a Notary signing agent?
N you have to read all the pages or what?
Great presentation !!!
Thank you for watching!

Good Day: Thank you for sharing your knowledge and insights. I have a couple of Questions (1) Which Brother model of printer did you use? You also mentioned some other resources I didn't quite catch in the beginning. You offered great information which I will implement once I get started. I am waiting for Long Island to open so that I can take notary exam so am taking this time to learn as much as I can.
Hi Corliss, Thank you for watching my presentation. I bought a Brother 6200DWT Dual Tray. I also had bought a Fugitsu ScanSnap Scanner. I would start out with the printer and splurge on the scanner in a few months. If you need anything I'd be happy to help you. Google me in Brownburg, IN. Good luck!...….. also, when you put your resume together to include "Loan Signing Agent" be sure to put in there "NNA Certified"....that will make you more credible :)
I am late to the party...but this is a great. I learned a lot...thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed the presentation!

Your tips are golden. Thanks so much for sharing! And I second your choice of the Fujitsu scanner. I have the S1500M for Mac and it's still going strong since 2012.
Thank you for sharing. Your presentation was excellent - I enjoyed it and the information was valuable. I'll certainly be looking for a mentor :o)
Thank you for watching!
Loved this presentation! I had so many questions on how to be a successful signing agent and Anne answered every one! Thank you, Anne! I am new to the business and looking for a mentor as well. Lots of great information. I would love for you to be my mentor. Very new in the business
Great job
Thank you!!
This was a great video! So much information, thank you! Quick question, as far as simple notary signings go, how do you handle your payment methods? Do you accept cash only, do you use a Square for credit cards payments? Any help on this is appreciated!
Good question! Payment format is up to the Notary.
I only accept cash and I tell the people what the fee is in advance.
Thanks so much!
You're welcome!
Thank you
Thank you for watching my presentation, Joseph :)
I really gained a lot from this video
Thank you for tuning in.
Good info
Awesome. Thanks
You're welcome!
Thank you somuch
You are most welcome!
I am notary in California commissioned just recently. I haven't been able to grab a single business of signing yet though I have already signed up on several signing websites. In the meantime, I would love to know how I can get business of signing at facilities such as hospital, jails etc.
You mentioned you are in Indiana. I am as well. Could you offer information on how to acquire the TPL? I have my NNA NSA certification. The final piece is the TPL and I'm having issues locating the access to training and testing. I'd appreciate any info you might have on this subject. Thank you so much for this amazing helpful information.
Notary Signing Agents in Indiana must take an approved 10-hour pre-licensing course through the Indiana Land Title Association and apply to become a title insurance producer in order to conduct home loan signings. In addition to these licensing requirements, licensees must complete 14 hours of continuing education requirement during the 4-year license term. www.indianalandtitle.org
Ok, getting in a little late, but I love this and loved loved loved the video. I want to go all in. Do you have a video on the start up? 1. Get Bond through surety company. 2 Apply for Notary with State (what is errors and omission) 3. Get educated on loan docs (what program would you recommend)?
Hello, thank you for watching! We do have a video that explains the process to become a Signing Agent. czcams.com/video/mKVXEJ3TPes/video.html
Please note, in order to begin the Signing Agent process you must be a commissioned Notary in your state. Some states do have special requirements to become Signing Agents as well. More information can be found here: www.nationalnotary.org/signing-agent/nsa
It’s strongly recommended to purchase a Notary errors and omissions (E&O) insurance policy to cover you against damages resulting from unintentional mistakes. www.nationalnotary.org/knowledge-center/about-notaries/how-to-become-a-notary-public
Thank you for watching. What state are you in? I'd go through the NNA for your training. Get your bond from Western Surety Company. E&O from NNA. You get your Background check as part of you certification (2 items combined in a package deal with them)with the NNA.
Anne Fields Thank you so much!
Anne Fields I live in Arizona.
Is there a video about attorney states? Tips for notaries who live there
You share it a lot of great information and were very transparent. I thank you for that. There are a lot of people selling these courses that are not very beneficial. I am just starting my journey as a loan signing agent but I will love your mentorship in the future. Is there any way that I can reach out to you?
Hello. You can reach out to Anne by searching "anne fields, brownsburg, IN" in a google search or via LinkedIn. Hope this helps!
Hi Anne! Great presentation. My name is Kim. I recently started my business and making good progress. I could definitely benefit from a mentor, like you mentioned. I am a NNA member, NSA certified and have accepted one assignment so far - yay! I am serious about this life change and eager to become a well established signing agent in my community. Would you be interested in having another mentee? I come prepared :) Best Regards! Kim M.
Thank you for all the information. I have two questions if you don't mind. 1. Does the Notary Loan Document book you have provide you with the one or two sentence explanation of the doc when presenting to a signer? 2. I didn't see the signing service listing on SigningAgent.com or 123Notary.
On 123notary you can access the list at the top of the page. It's title "SIGNING COMPANY LIST".
What would be a good introduction when calling
How is it that you can name your own flat fee when most states have really low caps on notarial acts? MD for example is a max of $4.00 per stamp. Great presentation; thanks in advance!
Drive fees, etc..... Don't do one if it doesn't make any money for you.
This was a great video. I loved your presentation. Would you mind being a mentor? I am actually looking to do this part time and I live in Illinois.
Hello Giovanna! Thank you for watching. You can reach out to Anne by googling her at Anne Fields, Brownsburg, IN.
I enjoyed your presentation, giving an overview of becoming a successful notary signing agent. However, you did not mention the elephant in the room, namely COVID-19. What procedures are you using to adapt to the pandemic and still maintain a thriving business? Do you still go to borrowers' homes or is your business mainly conducted at escrow offices? Thank you.
I have not stopped doing closings since the pandemic started. In the beginning I'd always wear a mask and gloves and I would make a packet of gloves and new pens to give to every borrower I closed for right when I went into their house. I didn't have masks for them. I'd carry an extra jacket in my car if they chose to close outside in their garage with the door open. I did MANY garage closings! Before I got in my car I'd dispose of the gloves in a zip tight baggie and id sanitize my hands before I took my mask off. I'd leave the docs in the back of my car and when I got home I would let the docs air out in my garage for or back porch for several hours before I shipped them. I told many of my hiring companies that I was doing this. Th borrowers were very happy about the whole set up. After awhile I couldn't get ahold of gloves so I'd bring hand sanitizer to the closing for everyone to use after the closing. But I still provide brand new pens for everyone to keep. I always wear a mask and most borrowers do as well.
@@annefields8090 Thank you very much for your detailed response. I appreciate it.
Does it really matter if it’s a laser printer? I have a brothers that uses ink bottles. My wife likes to print pictures. But I’ve always used it for real estate transactions when I needed to, and it’s been fine. But I was just wondering if having a laser was really that big of a deal because I hear it all the time on these different notary videos.
How do we get a copy of the Loan Document Source Book? You were very helpful.
Hello. The Loan Document Sourcebook is available on our website to purchase. www.nationalnotary.org/loan-document-sourcebook
Great Information, Thank you! I saw that she listed NJ as a state that requires an additional license to become a loan signing agent the "Third Party Liability" i did not see this on the NNA site. Is this true? Does NJ require it? What is it needed for?
You should call the NNA to get this answered. I know that NJ is an "attorney state". Google that and see what comes up as well.
@@annefields8090 thank you! I will call the NNA for this.
I have done some research and I am pretty sure they are talking about Errors and Omissions Insurance. I have a $100,000 policy and it costs $52 per year through the NNA.
@@Lovelyme2206 it's is the Title Producer's License that is required in that state.
