THANX! This video saved me a bunch of money, where two garages (one of them even a former Citroën shop!) judged my keyfob to be broken needing to be replaced. Should cost me a ton of money! Today I went to the third shop, had the keyfob checked and found to be okay and this video helped me re-pairing the remote to the locks. Problem solved, thumbs up from me! :)

But first of all try: replace the old battery for key , put new battery , then press lock and unlock buttons at the same time and hold for few seconds , then try lock and unlock doors . This helped me . Good luck everybody
Thanks a lot, ESPECIALLY the remote reprogramming without the lexia tool (is it an app or a windows sw?). Gonna change battery and try to make my GFs key FOB work to remote lock/unlock (she lost the spare) her Citroen xsara 2003 (not picasso)
Any idea what happens if you use the wrong code? Does it tell you on the first, or second entry? Do you get a limited number of tries?

Has that a key already been used on another car Or was it one used with that car just lost it configuration.
Does having the owners key code let you programme a used key.
Also how does the programming system worm, does the key send the signal and ecu logs that signal only so passes checks when u use that signal.
So if a used key is used the ecu can be configured to use it.
Or does it have to have a new key to programme into the cars.
I have a c8 came with a second key and wanted to programme it back if it's lost the programme for it.

Its my second key it just somehow lost it configuration. if you have your owner code you can config keys, their blades should be cutted.

I have a big problem now. My ONLY key was starting to fail so I bought a blank one to be programmed. Everything was ok until I got to the step where it asks to switch to OFF position. In this moment Lexia (actually Diagbox, but it works nearly the same) sais "interface communication error ", can't program the key, and what is worse, the previously working key is not working any more. So basically now I can't start the car at all. Question is: For the key programming, do you need to make any connections from the battery to the fusebox? Because i've seen a cable for this but I have no idea if is necessary for the key programming.

It sounds like you have very chinese diagbox.
Try some other diagbox.

Maybe you need to buy a new chip to the key and substitute the original that may have got corrupted on the half operation.
