Yesterday, on Maundy Thursday, King Charles gave an address very similar to King Benjamin in the Book of Mormon. This is not a coincidence. Kings and Queens have always had a contract/covenant with the people to act as representatives of God and to have the people follow suit.
King Charles refers to Jesus washing the feet of the disciples, while King Benjamin is likely referring to a tradition of temple drama and coronation.

Greg says very clearly in the video that he is only talking about the text of speeches from two kings in comparing them. Sometimes I wonder if commenters even watch the videos.
As I insert myself into these principles of being more like Christ, and being endowed with the priesthood, I’ve realized what a gift it is to be a parent! That I get to fail and practice this holy order day after day till I’m a little better at it. God is truly merciful!

We first follow Christ's example in living a moral life, so that our perceptions and impressions from the Holy Ghost are pure and to be acceptable role models. Leaders who've shown the opposite are not good examples.

@@medeekdesign he is not perfect but he definitely has determination. Very very few politicians could withstand the scrutiny he has been through. Why does he put up with it? I've never seen so much hatred towards one man in my 70 years of life.

On my mission to UK someone told me that there were missionaries walking to their area each day. Charles' mother passing by would stop and ask what they were doing, and then she offered them a ride!

You got it, Christ example is what we all should be heading for. But as Charles is concerned dose he need all that he has to do the job he now dose especially now we have a government that runs the country. Answer for me is no, he is currently a surplus to requirement an unnecessary self indulgent person. The property they own for a small family is self service not service for his so called people. Just another member of the Gaddianton society Im afraid. Gone are the days when kings led men into battle thats a true leader one who goes before and says come follow me. I have royalty in my family so Im not just trashing them for nothing, as the world continues life in all areas will become degrading but we should expect that in the last days!

I think it's wise when we look at current political leaders to focus on their good traits and be forgiving of the bad. Just look at the various kings who the prophet Daniel served. They were friends to the Jews, served by the prophet Daniel, and at a minimum Darius was a personal friend to Daniel. Certainly they were all more flawed than any of our current western leaders that I am aware of. Not one of our current leaders is so stuck on themselves that they would sign a law requiring that everyone worship them. I believe very much that many of our modern leaders, despite their flaws, are in their own way of similar service to the people of God as Cyrus was. We don't have to condone their weaknesses, nor support them in those weaknesses. However, let's walk the walk of disciples of Christ and try harder to be one, particularly when good is done like this quote from King Charles.

If that was sincere or not, it is really rare to see people in high places profess Christ. Another generation and that will be inexistent.

I cannot condone the actions of a young Charles. I cannot condone Alma the Youngers actions as a young man. People can change.
Throughout History there have good and bad Kings. Greg stated at the outset that he was only comparing the words of Charles message. No one is celebrating the British Monarchy but pointing out an interesting comparison between Kings, Heavenly Kings and the people.
He can compare all he wants . That family is a bunch of phonies . They are no one’s servants . They have fake covenants . Hopefully their monarchy is going down .
