Twenty years ago I used to live in a nice suburban bedroom community and there was a grandma that drove a C4 convertible every day. In summer the top was never up. Parked it on the street in front of her house. When I’d rumble by on my Ducati she’d give me a thumbs up. Nowadays if I drive my GTI 30 in a 25 I’ve got neighbors waving arms at me freaking out like I’m a public menace. I miss the old days when people weren’t afraid of their own shadows.
As an owner of a 89 C4 , that is the best and most accurate description I have ever heard !!

Speaking of used car salesman, in 1995 for 8 months I was a car runner at Minneapolis Auto Auction, now Mannheim Auctions. One of the regular used car salesman would wear a shirt that said “masterbation causes blindness” but all of the letters were printed in a fuzzy type.
