And for some reason everyone is defending them. They are absolutely useless and usually do not have any performance upgrades. Of course everyone can do what they want with their car and their money, but these cars are everywhere, they are unnecessarily hyped and just annoying.
tiktok has nothing to do with car culture, sure there might be cars on there but there is no culture >_>

Soooooo, we aren’t gonna talk about all of the takeovers in the past year?! Widebodys, stance, drift missiles are fantastic! I love those things but we aren’t going to talk about the crap ton of takeovers....
Makes perfect sense to me🤷♂️🤦♂️

Yeah. Takeovers suck.
A good point.
Bro thought the beauty of this community was the freedom you have to express yourself. Don’t criticize other builds, just build what makes you look back when you get out of your car and smile. This community is getting so toxic that some people build their car for others. Build your car for yourself, dgaf about what others think about it
Exactly what I was thinking, most of these points are this guy just not liking a specific thing that other people like, bout the only thing I agree with is how prices are going but even then he sounds like an elitist with how he words that point
My only concern is the destruction of classic jdm cars. That being said, every 2008 350 destroyed makes mine that much more valuable and gives us another parts car. Win win I guess

1. "People hating on other peoples taste in cars".

Seems like he doesn’t realize the car scene is on the verge of a revolution like 2015. Just because things are overplayed, doesn’t mean it’s ruining the scene. Just means that eventually everyone will move on to the next nice build and so on.
So true, people should just respect other’s builds but let constructive feedback to owners.
As a vet in the car scene I think the internet has ruined a lot. I remember being on car forms and going to different shows and seeing the popular things like tweed interior, audio and video, neon lights and hearing stuff like prodigy or BT I definitely miss early 2000s 😞
The internet has light and dark. Literally my entire car knowledge came from the internet. The internet has actually taught me about all these annoying people in the car community because I'm too young to learn from experience
I had a very modified 1G Eclipse Turbo “missile” as a daily driver when I was young…er. Had to start in second gear to avoid way too rapid acceleration in traffic - or at the drive through. The clutch friction point was minuscule. Suspension could hang on to turns like frickin’ glue, but you felt every Midwest asphalt bump like it was a ditch. It’s much easier to get a fast car designed to be used on a road instead of modifying an “ok” for track and tooling about to work and the grocery.
Great video!
My man's talking about lambos as if normal people can afford them 😂😭
Well sadly bcoz thats all we can do ... Im guilty as you too..😭

The drift missiles are meant to practice with a car you don’t mind getting destroyed so your nice drift car still looks good when in a compention

back in the 90s we would have all died to have even 1 brand of widebody kit for our cars. The fact that you can get them for a corolla now is insanely awesome. How does this channel have 900k subs?
I keep wondering that myself- I haven’t seen a single video from them that I haven’t thought “well… that was kinda un-inspired content”
The stance topic, I love both stance and lifted. Just depends on what I'm feeling, off road, or wanting to do track races (all in my games of course 😆)
When they say stance that is the scraping on the ground cars often with massive camber, it's purely cosmetic definitely not a track car
"Widebodies are getting boring" WIDEBODY THE WIDEBODY
and while your at it, slap on another wide body
Add 32 in rims on a widebody
Actual widebodies are typically (not always) pretty good looking. But "rocket bunny" riveted on widebodies are atrocious. Can't believe people rivet widebody flares on lambos and shit without frenching the kit onto the body with body filler. Tacky as hell.

bro, this whole video made me mad, like tf is this
@@TheEddieguerrero06 why????
@@microwavecaprisun6239 because a lot of these mods are “ridiculous” they aren’t ruining car culture, there are silly personalities that enjoy, having over the top camber, making their cars ricers, etc. what made me upset even more, is the clip he included of thestradmad, with his mk5 supra with a wide body and stock offset, thestradman was in the middle of wide-bodying his car, and he gave no info and made thestradman look like a clown. and other stuff that i’ve forgotten about made me upset too lmao
@@TheEddieguerrero06 i get what you mean but some of the things he’s saying is true such as the same pandem widebody on nearly anything and that every modded car has stance and nothings unique anymore.
@@kahki2704 i agree with that, but the points that he made were completely ridiculous to the ratio of what he said that was a valid opinion and wasn’t
At 60yo I may be the oldest person to watch this video. Seems like it was aimed at much younger folks. I'm an original owner of an Evolution IX SE. It looks stock; it's not, nor is heavily altered, mechanically. I've owned the car for the past 17 years and have no plans to sell. The single most reliable car I've had and what a hoot to drive! It's so reliable, because it was never molested with useless mods. It's an easy motor to uncork, though there is a practical limit, and IF you did it right you had a fantastic car. If.
My advice to younger people who are interested in driving, not decorating, is to buy a car that will respond to your input in a predictable manner. If you need a mod here or there to make yourself faster or allow for more confidence, do it as the need arises. Using my IX as an example, it's on the optional factory Bilstein suspension, not lowered (suspension geometry matters if you actually drive the thing) and we added a set of Whiteline's mild F/R anti-sway bars after a couple of years. The only suspension mod and it worked out great. Please don't miss my point: buy a car you want to drive and then learn how. I've been driving for 44 years and still learning. If you want to decorate, please feel free to ignore everything I'd said. Good luck.
I can accept some of these on the list but widebody and wraps are good imo. I mean pandem, rocket bunny, liberty walk are common but not everyone does it so its good to see one.

What u guys think, 1700 to wrap, or 2500 in a maaco? i've a black 350z 05' anniversary.... Thinking about Nardo Grey,
Another reason to wrap is so you can change it up 2 or 3 times for the cost of paint, all while protecting factory paint, which is a huge plus.
Assuming you don't take a layer of paint off off the wrap like he did in his porsche
I thought when I click this videos he was gonna talk about ricers, big rims, gold chrome wraps, etc.
But Widebody??? Stance, missile cars those are dope AF. Why would you complain about that, I think what you meant by "car culture" is your personal taste

Stance is stupid.
@@cyberlocc no matter how much may hate it people will always find ways of lowering their cars and stance grows bigger everyday
@@CarWavExe I don't hate it, doesn't bother me any when people do stupid stuff.
I agree that there is nothing wrong with Missiles, and Widebodys.
And you say lowering, but thats not what I am talking about. I am talking about wheels turned out at an angle to where the tire barely even contacts the road, and when people have bigger wheels in the back, ect that is stupid. Those are performance cost for something that looks terrible.
Add on 24" inch rims on performance vehciles, even 22s, they look great on Luxury Cars, and SUVs. But when you put 24s on your Hellcat you just like a moron.
But its good in a way, tells you who to race for cash. The idiot with 24inch rims, is going to have a Rude awakening when he races my car with 17s and DR's.
"hurr durr all McLarens look the same! the huracán is just an Audi R8, pick more interesting cars!" Fuck off
I may be old but i still like the mid 90s and early 2000s import looks. Those were fun.
3:00 raise the suspension 1/2" or so and the first one looks great. wouldn't be my first choice of wheels for that car, but to each their own. Yes the second one looks like a ton of fun, but it would'nt be my daily and I don't have that kind of play money.
My dude don't understand why people get wraps instead of paint its called being broke and not wanting a drippy paint job from macco
if you're broke, you should probably reconsider getting a wrap in the first place.
put your money where you actually need it, not in luxury goods.
maybe use it to invest first so you can have more stuff that you want to get in the future.
to clarify, i mean luxury goods as in stuff that you dont actually need in order to do a living.
@@hoehere_Gewalt You think investing is easy and a walk in a park, but it's not. I may know NOTHING about investment but I know for a fact that it's a risky game and if your not careful, you can lose EVERYTHING you made and own.

You can spend just as much on normal paint that you do with wraps

I recently bought my first car it is a 2021 Toyota Camry and I was wondering if it’s reliable in the long run
In Sweden, A Volvo 740 and 940 can cost more than a 3rd gen V70 (aka "Fas 2"). The cheapest V70 you can get is probably the 2nd gen V70 (V70N, aka "Nicklas"). At least if you want one in good condition. It also depends on what year model it is. A base model 2013-2016 V70II can set you back a good 150 000 to 200 000SEK (equivalent to roughly 12-16k USD). If you want a more powerful engine or a more luxurious interior, you might have to pay about 10k more. A V70N, in good condition can cost between 15 000 and 150 000SEK, depending on if it's an 01-04 or an 05-07. 05-07 is the facelift version and they tend to go for a higher price. They come with painted plastic lists on the corners and on the doors, as well as clear glass headlights. Sun roof? Turbo? If so, which engine is it? Summum or Momentum package? Leather, half leather or plush seats? Electric or manual adjustment seats? Black or baige interior? Has it been recently inspected and is it taxed? Has it ever been in an accident? I bought a newly inspected, silver, black leather interior, 2001 V70 2.4T (200hp) imported from the US. Set me back 20 000SEK (about 1800USD, or so)

They really aren't ruining car culture at all... If anything, most of the list actually carries car culture.
As the one guy that made an essay said, "they make an inconvinience to drive for themselves and others".
Germany has this problem, where if your car mods arent from the factory, its prohibited from the streets. Or something like that.
@@rohdger3390 not really no. it's only prohibited when it significantly decreases safety for yourself and/or others, emissions worsen, sound is unreasonably loud or the parts are not allowed on the streets in the first place. many mods can just be slapped on no problem but performance enhancing mods and anything of great significance have to be noted and checked if it raises risk of accidents or lowers safety in case of an accident. there are guidelines to what mods need to be noted in the papers, are prohibited or are free to be installed and also what mods that don't have to be reported alone but when in combination with other mods could cause them to have to be reported and checked. it's strict, yes, and not very clear what is allowed and what not but all in all I'd say it's for the better. body kits for instance might be legal or might be illegal. depends on what does the "TÜV" says. does it compromise safety? has the body kit been specifically made for this car in germany and has already been regulated? are there already cars around that have been given a "yes" with this kit?
you have to do a bit more work and check what you can do to your car if you wanna stay legal and not have to pay up but it doesn't mean you can't have some fun. i saw an extremely stanced beetle with a VERY obnoxious body kit the other. perfectly legal.

Wrap: $5,000
Paint: $10,000 to $15,000
You're such a hypocrite, honestly,
You start with how wraps are "ruining" car culture yet you have a wrapped Porche, I don't see how wrapping a car ruins the culture when it can be part of the culture and good for people who can't afford paint. It's easy to find shops that wrap well and it's not too expensive. Painting is nice and all, but so is wrapping a car; wraps if done right can actually protect the paint from being scratched, isn't as much money, and sure they might be a pain to remove or if it tears in one spot you might have to remove the whole thing, but that's what happens when you pay less. Wrapping isn't ruining the car culture, infact if anything it's improving the culture by allowing more creativity and cheaper way(s) to improve the look of your car while expressing yourself.
Stancing cars isn't ruining the culture either, like you mentioned you'd prefer a lifted Porche over a stanced one while others may have a swapped opinion. Yes, stancing has become popular in the recent years, but it is in no way ruining the culture and community. Not everyone would want a lifted Porche, not everyone wants a stanced Porche, that's how it is. A lot of the time stancing is done to improve the driving, for example cambering the front tires on a drift vehicle/missile helps improve grip, as when turning the wheels dependent on the angle the wheel will gain positive camber, therefore adding negative camber to a certain degree helps improve grip and all around drivability.
Widebodying a vehicle isn't ruining the community or the culture, just like stancing, these can all be counted as sub-cultures as widebodies may be used for multiple reasons, whether it be for looks or to help with aerodynamics. None of these ruin the culture in the slightest. Just like widebodies, stancing, wrapping, and more, these add to the community creating jobs for enthusiasts and allow you to further express yourself with your car and be creative. Sure there aren't too many big widebody manufacturers, but there are plenty that make fully custom widebody kits. They're just more expensive so you don't see them as much.
As for hyped up prices, you're honestly making yourself look absolutely stupid here, it's called supply and demand. Sure the cars are older but that doesn't mean the price is going to be lowered due to the age. Like the example you gave of the Supra. For reasons such as The Fast and Furious movie(s) this vehicle has had a lot more demand. Unfortunately they do not make the Mk. 4 Supra anymore as they've moved on to the Mk. 5 which means there's less supply. What happens when there's less supply and more demand? Prices go through the roof. That's basic knowledge even an 8 yr old would have. As for the prices being all over the place, again, that's how it works. A vehicle may drive like a $10,000 car but cost $50,000 for supply and demand reasoning. A vehicle may drive like a $50,000 car but cost $10,000 because there's more supple and less demand.
As for missles, you don't exactly explain how these are "ruining" the culture so I'm not going to talk about it too much. Yes, you did mention how some people take them on the streets when they're meant for tracks, but that could be for reasons you don't even know. They could be transporting the car, bringing it to a meet, just trying to drive it around, show it off, have some fun, whatever the case may be. I don't understand how these in any means would ruin the culture ame with the rest.
The title for this next one is "CZcamsrs" but you mention almost nothing about them. This just makes you more hypocritical as you are a car youtuber yourself. Though you do mention that you see so many Lambo's but nothing else. This is just peoples taste and if you can't tell, Lamborghinis are a popular Supercar across the world. You mention that you want to see more Supercar variety then start to complain about McLarens which aren't even Supercars. Yes they're super popular across the car side of youtube and the youtube platform in general, but again, this is peoples taste. It's so stupid to the point I'd call you a toddler as you mention that you can pick up a Murcielago for the price of a Huracan. You are mistaken. A 2021 Huracan EVO goes for around 208,000 whereas a Murcielago SV runs for 354,000. Those don't look close to me... I'm not even going to start on talking about how you compared a Huracan to an R8. McLarens are classified as Hypercars btw. You mention how the 650s looks Identical to the 570s, but say the 650s looks better. Want to run that by me again?
At this point just change the name of the video to "8 Trends I personally don't care for" the way you word this whole video you do nothing but go on about how certain things are hurting your feelings. I mean come on. All of these are preferences people have with their own cars. They aren't ruining the culture but making it even more diverse. Who hurt you? Sure plastidipping isn't always the best option, but instead of hating on plastidip how about you make a video explaining why plastidip can be harmful for your wallet and your car at certain times. Actually educate people if you want to run a channel about cars and the community, don't hate on peoples preferences.
Sure, showing off can be dangerous (especially stang drivers, we see you with those tally marks on your window) but it isn't ruining the culture. It may be annoying when that happens and you're either the driver or you and or your car get hit. But at the end of the day it's all about having fun and sometimes that means spinning out and hitting a tree. Lesson learned. Besides, we all know there would be no such thing as those popular "HILARIOUS Car FAILS!!!" videos without our beloved Mustang drivers.
thank you
i read everything and you are 100% right
Truth
This the the truth and nothing but the truth
truth
I like how I am almost totally unaware of these overdone trends because I am simply not on TikTok
paint jobs are just way to expensive on my 1999 subaru impreza wagona matelic purple is about $8.5k for an open door paint but a wrap is only $5300
Sounds like a boomer's take on car cultures. I lost all hope when the word interweb pops out.
Here is the thing. He had about half of them right, like the JDM hype and the over the top showoffs. But many of the other things? People spend the money they want it to. If they want to "ruin" their car with a stance, what harm will that do to you? These movements are not ruining the car culture, but the gate keepers saying what is cool and what are not, are.
Exactly! I have never been turned away from a car meet simply because I choose to keep my 88 Chevy IROC Z bone stock. Hell I even have the original GM Delco cassette deck in it..
There is NOTHING wrong with what a person expresses in their car. The only wrong is when a hipster tells us it's wrong solely because HE doesn't like it.
@Sickotato Speak of the devil. We got someone here that matched all the description. How you doing gate keeper? Having fun minding someone else's business? You can express yourself but you better keep that to yourself because you are the exact people who I am and have been taking about.
@Sickotato you are making a scene and you look ridiculous whilst making fun of yourself. Go somewhere else and express your precious opinion.
@Sickotato OK boomer
Why you mad. He even said that he was guilty of it. He just think that it can ruin it. Grow up and act your age.
I see he doesn't know what "hellaflush" means, so please be quiet.
i dont know it either. can you explain me? :o
@@niitros9834 hellaflush is a term coined by the brand fatlace in the early years of the stance trend. Hellaflush equates to your wheels being completely in line or "flush" with the fender with minimum camber.
@@theunderworld1163 Ah, okay thank you alot! :D
@@theunderworld1163 I thought hellaflush was a CZcamsr, im retarded.
@@j_a_c_0191 there is a youtuber called hellaflush making gta videos
0:10 I saw a perfectly good Camaro a few days ago. Except it had spinner wheels that were 2 times the size they were supposed to be.
The universal way of holding up 8 on your hands is fingers only.
The 5 and 3 combo caught me off guard
What was wrong with TheStradman's Supra?
I don’t get the pandem wide kit. The bolts look cheap and I always wondered why people don’t just have the fenders blend and flow into the body
currently looking at a 2007 SRX4 V8 for 3500 to add a wide body kit & supercharger to :)
this just sounds more like this guy is unhappy with his own life... Stancing ok.. but everything else is debatable.
Search wide body car and 85% will be pandem bodykits it’s the most generic thing ever
@@briankramer8434 wrapping is literally better for people that like to change their cars color multiple times in less than let say 2-3 years. There is no point in spending $6k+ in paint when you can buy 3 different wraps for that price.
Normal tuner: i paid for the whole speedo so imma use the whole speedo
Stance tuner: i paid for the whole wheel but imma use a few millimiteres because why not
talking about fitment: good fitment is when the tire is flush not tuck. If i see a car i want to see its tires and like stock it looks like you bought a widebody without spacers
I got a 79 Z28 definitley no monitoring systems or safety systems anywhere lol. Thing was a missile from factory
3:10 im sure about 90% of ppl picked the first car

Just do what makes you happy individuality is the key...
I want you to know that the next video I watched had a stanced, wrapped, rx7, showing off.
Seems kinda common to me
I feel like he was throwing shots at dde😂
And SummitLife/Stradman
definitely
What happened
I love the stock height or maybe a bit lower but I can’t stand the stance
It looks good in sum cars not all tho
I just miss the old days. I remember heading down to my step brothers paint shop as a kid, seeing tuners with underglow, tribal livery’s. Muscle cars with flames and blowers. Nowadays it’s just a bunch of “clean” cars.
The way I see things, these new “clean” cars are just boring af.
I own a 350z. Tires fit, have a modified exhaust that is catback, no wing, it has a pair of air intakes, im saving for a supercharger. Ill get a carbon fiber hood and possibly fenders but will have them paint matched. Nothing crazy, no wide body kits. It will have bigger brakes and maybe lowered a little. No stancing, no huge front splitter, etc. I will keep everything looking stock. Might have one of the only ones left.
Not him calling out my widebody stanced drift missle 😳
sure.
