He's got such great touch at release. Really understands how to get his hand in so many different positions
Yeah that's why I'm glad he agreed to join the team for the reviews. He can really show what a ball can do and what its limitations are, because if he can't get the ball to do it, it REALLY can't do it lol.
It's funny you brought up the hangup on cover types. Throwing my Big Time tonight and guy on my pair goes "that is too smooth to be a pearl". But back to the Peak. Thing looks really really good. My gripe with the summit was its a bit too much to use much but this is just a cleaner one without being too fast. Really hit a sweet spot imo with both summits on matching cover and core strength.
as someone who's a speed dom lefty with a lot of tilt. I have always had success with strong pearls. I have been circling buying this ball for a bit now. think I'm finally going to pull the trigger soon. I also want to pair this with the new Harsh pearl i thing those 2 would make an amazing 1-2 punch
Yeah I think so!
I want this ball so bad but I didn't like my zen untill I got better at slow hooking it and now it's a God tier ball in my bag, but doesn't have many games on it. The fact that the peak is more continuous and can handle angle better really has my interest. Maybe I'll get this one over the summer for the OC. it's just so darn pretty! (and that's what's important😉)
I liked the slo-mo shots, as they gave my eye a chance to really see the ball reaction. With Zach, it looks to my eye like the ball always misses the breakpoint at regular speed.
I actually bowled my first 800 with this ball last week!
Love watching Zach bowl. Wish I didn’t stop bowling 25 years ago. Wouldn’t it be great to be physically young again?
Love ur videos with all the info 👍 i put 1500 grit polish on my Summit. I know it has different cover then the Peak but with the polish are they similar? Thanks
Actually if you want to watch my review, I compared them both with the same layout and same surface, and the Summit is still visibly the earlier smoother one.
Do you think there too much overlap to have both in the bag? I love my regular summit; and want something with more length but similar shape. this look to be it.
Nah not too much overlap, I've been carrying them together and they work well as complements.
NRP feel?
Off topic but wanted to get your opinion on the black widow 3.0. Just drilled it and it feels almost identical to my older Proton Physixs. Clean yet strong early response, that other solid asyms don’t give
I've got a review for it so you can see exactly what I think about it! I'd also say it's in Proton territory though.
I have a Summit that I use quite a bit on the fresh. It has a strong pin up layout. If I want to get a Peak for a step down from it, should I drill it the same or pin down to create more of a gap?
For me, the Peak was quite a bit cleaner and weaker than the Summit, especially if you leave the Peak shiny and keep some surface on the Summit. I drilled them the same and had plenty of separation as far as I'm concerned.
@@LukeRosdahl do you like this as a ball down from the Summit or would something like a shiny O Idol or Journey? I have a Phaze II but it isn’t matching up well with my game at the moment.
@@EverArch If you want the same kind of shape, yes, the IQ Ruby also works if you want more of a separation.
@@LukeRosdahl looking for the same shape but a little cleaner and sharper. I have a Ruby with some surface on it. Next symmetrical ball down is an Xponent, which has been my go-to burn ball as of late.
That would definitely be the Peak then.
Zach the Snack
Do a Peak and Star Review soon!!! Looking for a good zone one ball with my speed!!
I'm working on the Star right now, but that's definitely not a 1 ball! You'll be looking more at something like the Harsh Reality for that.
They don't have much oil @ Suncoast in Veges!! I have a I have to throw my Gem @ Mach 2 with step 2!!!@@LukeRosdahl
Still, the Star is a couple balls under the Gem, I'd go more for like a Clone as a 1 ball if the Gem is too strong.
I'm wondering how the Summit Peak looks against the Exotic Gem, would love to see them side-by-side
Fairly close, the Exotic is just chuggier, so a little earlier and slower. I actually just got Exotic footage for him because that's his comparison ball to the Attention Star, so I might start putting some little quick videos together even if I don't do like a full comparison.
@@LukeRosdahl thank you!
👀🍿
I want to know how this ball compares to the duo, both are considered “baby exotic gems” from what I hear
The Duo is weaker and longer, the Peak is like halfway between the two. Peak is like dropping the asym part, then the Duo is a half to full step down from the Peak.
@@LukeRosdahl ohh alright cool, I have a duo and gem myself didn’t know if the peak and duo fit the same spot in the bag
But shouldn't you show us the typical house shot pattern for "us house leauge" league bowlers
Nah, everything hooks and kind of looks the same on a house shot so it's harder to see the differences in balls
House shots are also so different from place to place that what our house shot acts like may not be very close to what your house shot acts like. Ball reviews are really just to get a general look at the ball plus an accurate comparison between balls.
There’s one CZcamsr who doesn’t understand ball reaction who called this ball long and sharp. It is not and I had to unsub from this particular CZcamsr, he just elbows all over the place on house shots.
Yeah lol, longer and sharper than one of the earliest and slowest balls in the catalog in the Summit doesn't make it actually long and sharp.
If gonna guess it’s hih?
I know exactly who you’re talking about.
@@whitehondarider22 Well, Packy doesn’t throw SPI so it wouldn’t be him.
I enjoy Zach’s bowling. He’s not doing a stupid slap out or fist pump every time he strikes unlike well you and the wife.
Right . . can't please everyone I guess. I've also been told I'm boring to watch or that I'm bowling's version of asmr, and that I should spice it up or act like I'm actually having fun. Pretty sure we don't slap out or fist pump every shot either, but whatever.
That was a comment that was unnecessary and I would like to say that I prefer to watch you and Angel bowl.
