    It's good to mention the true intention of this outer core thingy: Consistent numbers between 14 and 15 pound versions even with the ball being Low RG

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  Před 10 měsíci +2

      I think that's just a happy accident, I haven't seen them say anything anywhere about that being a part of it. I HAVE heard them talk about or have seen them say it makes the core stronger and is supposed to carry the off hits better.

    • @nevinkinzel
      @nevinkinzel Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@LukeRosdahlIt could be a happy accident but they definitely advertised that for this ball.
      Maybe they couldn't replicate it and that's why we haven't seen it on other new releases yet? 🤷‍♂️

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  Před 10 měsíci +2

      Huh. I definitely didn't hear about that and it's not on the website or in any marketing materials.
      The Summit just came out a couple months ago and I doubt it's something they're going to just jam into everything so I'm sure we'll see more of it soon

      @@LukeRosdahlit was advertised that the summit core numbers match from 16-14, but not BECAUSE of the AI outer core. They don’t seem related in the marketing material.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  Před 10 měsíci +1

      That's what caught me. I know it was mentioned and I pointed it out in the original review but I couldn't find and never heard anything about it being related to AI, that's what was tripping me up

  • @williamhaynes2414

    It does really hit well with the over 60s crowd (me included). I was worried that it would be way too much ball for me but it seems to like closing up the angles. I can move left and spin it up too...but the simple 13-14 board at the posts over the 10 arrow and rolling 7-8 at the left range finder....them BOOM 13.8mph entry at the pins. Crazy.

  • @thesickness431

    This ball drives like no other. Where I expect balls to flatten out, this ball just keeps pushing. Causes me to go through the face a lot, but once I adjust it's great! Fantastic on sport shots, not as usable on house. Ball hits hard for me I enjoy it a lot

  • @rb8999

    I got a Summit from the pro shop on Monday evening, put my JoPo thumb in, threw in warmup, and decided to try it in league. Shot 246, 247. 249 for a 742. I did seem to carry a few hits that normally I would leave some flat tens on. I missed a few shots in that carried, and swung a few shots a little wide, and the Summit easily turned the corner back to the pocket, but without a jump, just a nice continuous arc. Like this ball reaction a lot. Looking forward to League again. Great report card, Luke.

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  Před 6 měsíci

      Yeah, again, it sounds dumb, but it's really forgiving and I do feel like you get a few extra hits that you're not counting on. It's easy to get to the pocket and then the carry percentage is extra high, and it's consistently done that for me for months now, even as it's aged.

  • @The_Wreckoning
    @The_Wreckoning Před 10 měsíci +1

    I've had similar experience from the right side, Luke. This ball rolls heavy and just keeps going. Rare for me, a slightly speed dominant righty, to be lined up inside my rev-dominant teammate who has 100 more revs than me, but depending on what ball he throws, this ball allows it occasionally.
    For super old school reference, the two balls this reminds me of are the Scorchin Inferno and the old Lane #1 Uranium Solid. Dirty early roll with no quit.
    Love it, and like you, Luke, my average is up significantly with this rock first out of the bag.

  • @HackAttackx10
    @HackAttackx10 Před 10 měsíci +1

    I did 50 x 4 1/4 x 35 on this ball and it is so much fun to throw in league. I'm throwing it at like 16mph, very versatile with different lane conditions.

  • @bigsaxxy
    @bigsaxxy Před 10 měsíci +1

    I thought it was a bit too strong when I just got it and first rolled it in practice in league and I ended up rolling a 300 in the first game ever with it. Since I have a Zen Master, Axiom, and Idol Helios, I was skeptical but it all clicked since. I am amazed at the continuation it is the first ball out for me. It is a unique shape that I get more downlane than the above balls. Now I have to see what I can use off to ball down or ball up if I need to get more in the soup as they say. Good report card. It doesn't disappoint. 🙂

    I’m gonna go to a ball demo/matchmaker for the first time on Sunday and the Summit is one of the balls that will be showcased. I am ecstatic to throw the Summit specifically. For the reasons you have mentioned, in addition to what I have heard other staffers like Luis Napoles and more directly Casey Murphy have agreed; they also are noticing a real difference in how this ball hits. Watching your stuff I have kinda been trained to take all the marketing ploys with a grain of salt, but the Summit looks legit. I hope I like it after Sunday. Thanks for the review 👏

      My three favorite symmetrical balls are summit, phaze 5, xponent, and my reign. Summit is smooth but can hook. The 5 just is more angular so it's good for a different option. Xponent is a piece I can manipulate into different looks. I haven't really hit with any of the new pearls because of reactagloss. I want pop from them so definitely love my reign.

    I love how you described the “heavier than it looks” feeling. I’ve always had a similar feeling with Detonator core balls (Forge line) from Motiv. Even the Iron, which is supposedly a pearl, goes does the lane like there’s some invisible hand shoving it down onto the lane and making it contact harder than other balls. It’s strange to experience, but I get what you mean 100%.
    Also, how dare you not put your 296 from KCO in this! 😂

Before this id never really been close to a 300. The pin carry is definitely real, to point where me and my teammates call this ball " The magic wand" because pins just fall over with this ball. If you're trying to put something between a USA and an Exotic, the Summit would fit, but it wouldn't give you a ton of shape diversity, they're all 3 the same shape. Would probably go for something like a good ol original Zen that fits that window, but also gives you a different look in the shape department. Might take a look at the new Sublime coming from Global here in a couple weeks too, that'd fit right in there as well.

      They don't send us Global balls, so I won't actually be doing a review for that one, there will be plenty of those comparisons on other channels though.
      Loool . . AI and dynamicore are a little different though. Dynamicore is specifically for hitting power, AI is altering the shape of the outer core a little to make core numbers stronger overall. Either way, usbc has rules and regulations on how hard a ball can hit, and there is such a thing as a ball hitting TOO hard which keeps it from being effective.
