I still love my Summit. Now Ive been bowling and carrying 215-220 for 20 plus years now. Im getting older too. I don’t have the bankroll to buy endless bowling balls either. I maybe buy one every couple years.
The Summit may be one of my favorite balls since my old Vertigo in the 2000’s. Im carrying 225 with it and its my only ball and I bowl one night a week. Not sure I would spend the cash to upgrade to a peak but that thing really pops

I love my Summit! First ball out of my bag for league. Use it for game 1 and games 2, then change to the IQ Tour Solid for the last game.
Why is summit good for G1 and G2 but not G3? Do you play more on the right side also with the summit?
I play 27 with my feet and 10-12 at the arrows. Second arrow is a popular track in my league so by game 3 the Summit tends to lose energy. The IQ is a bit cleaner through the fronts and allows me to stay in the same place on the lane. @@danielweisman6764

My summit is a beast. I usually play outside with it games 1 and half of game 2 and then move and shape it from the middle over 10 and that thing is a truck. Been shooting a lot of 700’s and high 600’s all year with it.

I have the Summit and like it. I recently put 1500 grit polish on it and now love it. Even though i polished it i know it’s still different then the peak because of the covers but feel it’s close enough. What’s ur thoughts? Love the videos. Was waiting on this one. 👍

I just got back from getting me the Summit. 7 of he 8 throws were strikes. This Summit was looking beautiful, and very happy with it!
Really want both of these balls and storm rep even recommended those balls with a little drilling change but only have 12 weeks to go before summer and I bowl in a two ball storm league in summer so don’t want to buy two new ones this close to end of fall league but I do get frustrated every Tuesday night because of what I am now throwing 😔
Change what you can now! Can always not drill the other balls right away
I have both the Summit and Summit Peak .... pretty much what Lou says fits .... throw the Summit on the fresh ... and then stay on top of the transition with the Summit Peak. Now ... here's the rub ... WILL Storm bring out a Summit Solid ? If you all remember .... we got the Nova Hybrid first ... then caame the Nova Solid .... still waiting for that Nova Pearl .... In a related matter .... we have the DNA .... and I've heard rumors that the DNA Coil (Pearl) will be coming stateside in March ..... we'll see. If you want to see the DNA Coil in action look up the Belmo / Daria challenge match they had in Korea here on You Tube ... they used the DNA Coil

Between the 2 balls I find the SP to be more versatile, as you can put a little surface on it to get an earlier read and still maintain a nice pop in the back. Im finding pearls to be more versatile, followed by Hybrids..... I rarely if ever get solids anymore as they seem to be one trick pony's and are more unpredictable when polishing.

I have a NU hammer and a Summit. Which order in league would you use? ( just got NU , ball is sick ) I understand the differences in the peak vs summit, but dont understand when one would be better than the other. Help there?

I averaged this week on the Major League, which is a league we do with professional heavy oil patterns, a 230 through 4 games with my Summit Peak and Summit, I used the Summit Peak first on the fresh 45 ft oil pattern and got a 268, it was my first time using it and my second game 244, and the last 2 games I switched to my Summit because the first two frames in the third game I left a high 4 pin and then a 4 9 split and I was back on the strike train when I used my summit, I guess the summit peak would be the first ball on the bag on tournaments, but I will never use it on the house pattern, it’s too strong for that

I've got 2 Summits, because they're hybrid, so i have one with a weak and shiny surface make it cleaner through the fronts, and strong and dull for the fresh. Plus I'm staying with hybrid balls so i have control in both on the lanes and the bank account so no need for a summit peak in my view.

@LuisNapoles works well. I scored my first 200+ with the weaker Summit, I can probably sanded up to 5000 and followed by polish for it to be more cleaner through the front.
