The one thing I now love about this ball is how that series of balls reminds me of another series from Hammer that at one time was their strongest balls out: The Scandal. This ball doesn't have HK22, but does have the same cover as the Scandal Solid, which was Hammer's hook monster in 2016. That, with the Hazmat (hybrid), and possibly a pearl Hazmat (should one come out), one would have an updated 1-2-3 recreation of the Scandal, Scandal/S, and Scandal Pearl, which were nice balls. If I'm looking for a symmetric lineup, I'd go with those 3 balls, should a pearl version be released.

Because I only throw Hammer stuff I only watch your channel randomly even though I like your videos. Being a free agent will allow you to throw stuff that I am interested in such as the Scorpion line. I will definitely be checking into big Lou channel more often now.

Not coming with a diss at all, but it showed alot in the ej shock, and now too but it looks like you're going to a full roller release (when you were fixing it in past videos), you should really work on staying behind and under the ball better.. I know your footprint and flare doesn't show though.. watching your release in slow-mo really shows you suit casing the ball.. Great review all in all.. keep it up!

I’m so glad you’re a free agent man. Welcome to the beautiful side of things. This solid + original Hazmat are going to make an incredible 1-2 punch. The hybrid is one of my all time favorites - Hammer is absolutely killing it. 3.0, Effect, Hazmat solid, Hazmat hybrid… The Effect is unreal, also.. you’ve GOT to throw it.

Congrats on your decision, I’m sure it was not an easy one to make. I think the sport of bowling benefits when channels like yours (Virtual bowling, and others) offer opinions on multiple brands. When you watch other channels with Storm staff (or Brunswick staff), you never really know if they truly like the ball or are just working on their commitment to the company or their commission.

How do you get the balls you review? Do you buy them all yourself or are they sent to you by the manufacturer or some other way? Also, do you do your own drilling?

As someone who knows nothing about storm balls I'm glad you can now do comparisons of balls that would be similar across the various ball makers. Go gettem!

Now my question is, I know you don’t have to be loyal to a certain brand so how does that change your arsenal because at least to my knowledge you change out your arsenal the most so what’s it gonna be now?

Good move! As a Storm guy, I’ll miss all the new ball reviews but it’ll be nice seeing other brands. I feel like I don’t know much about other brands’ new balls coming out so this will help a ton.

Wow this ball looks SOLID! It’s cool that they made a solid after a pearl because it is usually reversed

I truly hope that going free agent works out for you. The content is more useful for most of us regular bowlers when you can make comparisons across all brands. I mostly throw B7, but have a couple SPI balls too. Really all I am looking for is what ball fits my game best, regardless of brand.

I've been looking to add a big sym solid to my arsenal. GB5, Phaze 2, Cypher, and Hazmat Solid are on the list. Hazmat looked really good in this vid. How well did it holds its surface? My current sym solid is a Primal Shock and it goes from 2K to 4700 in 5 frames. GB5 holds surface extremely well which is nice. Hopefully the Hazmat does as well.
