- What is the true value of family? To me, it's priceless. I realized I had to put my time and money where my mouth was, and start investing my assets back into the places and people who shaped me into the man I am today. That's why we decided to take this road trip, to spend our most precious resource, our time, with family and friends across the country, as well as each other. Multigenerational living is something I was brought up with, but that my kids haven't had too much experience with. They definitely learned about it during our month away, and they also learned the importance of family. Every time we go to the beach(we live on an island) my husband washes my 2 daughters and my feet before we get back in the truck and he has no idea how much I love and appreciate that little moment. I think I will tell him now. ❤️❤️❤️ My condolences to you and your family. 🙏🏾

Your kids will be so thankful when they’re older that they will have these memories!!! I went on a road trip from Ontario to Florida with five siblings and my mom, first time out of province and country, those memories I will never forget, good or bad I will cherish those.
No matter what, please remember that Yvette is who will be there when the kids go on to college and get their own family. Maintain, nurture and grow the marriage. So sorry for your loss. I remember chatting with your very Trinidadian granddad after church a few times. He was simply delightful. During service, he would always have a deacon come and help him up to the front for the intercessory prayer. He wasn't passing up an opportunity to present his petitions. I'm sure this is presumptuous of me, but I'm gonna say it anyway. I think he'd be very proud of you and the continued intentionality you bring to fatherhood. I know I am. Blessings...

My father passed 4 yrs ago. My grandfather passed 2 wks before him. My stepdad passed 4 months ago. As a 27 y/o son I was & am devastated. But as a 27 y/o husband & father I was terrified having no guidance to go with as my sons & daughter grow in this world. I've gotten & learned a lot from watching you raise & guide your beautiful family. I'm not as afraid,( still am, don't get me wrong. I didn't have the best relationship with my father growing up but we were inseparable for the few years that we had reconciled. And he was teaching me a lot along with my stepdad), but watching you & learning from you. I'm getting better. You're a great father & husband. I just want you to know you're raising more than your own family. And I just want to say thank you
I'm so happy I found your channel. You have made me see some things that I think I have forgotten in the daily grind, especially having kids at very different ages (20 &3) and a husband that is always working (teacher & coach). I will most definitely be sharing this with him. I lost my father tragically 4 years ago and it is something I'm still trying to heal from. I should've learned these lessons through this. As a mom and wife i appreciate you taking the time to acknowledge the work of Yvette - seriously you both killing it and are a great team - I consider my husband and I a good team - and even when we are ready to strangle each other at the end of it all I always look back on it and think about how important it is to be a great team to compliment each other create the balance and just team work - Thinking of you during this time and the loss your family is experiencing - sending positive thoughts to you and your loved ones.
