- We took our weekly vlog on the road y'all! We have always been intrigued by the idea of full time RV living, so we packed up all of our road trip essentials (each other) and set out on a cross country trip to introduce our kids to their extended family, and to the RV lifestyle. We loved, laughed, and learned a lot and we cannot wait to share it all with you!!! #BELEAFINFATHERHOOD #ROADTRIPSERIES

I LOVE seeing our Black children boosted with many gifts, experiences and boundless affection. The old, stoic and 'traditional' way of putting them in line and not sparing the rod within the house simply does not help build them up in a world that is just waiting - salivating - to tear them down when they leave our homes. I love that more Black parents are doing away with that and showering their babies unapolgetically with love and limitless good times as a means of affirming their value, worth and status in this world. It is NOT bad to lavish upon your children, or those of others in our race, in a world that seeks to tell them they are bottom tier. Hard discipline has ruled too long, there is a always place and time for it but not as the basis of all.
Our children are elite, and they need to KNOW it so they can shut off the white noise when the time comes.
All facts! I was just explaining to my aunt that this upcoming week we're going on our last trip of the summer. Nothing extravagant, just a mini vacay a couple hrs away. She replied, "how many damn trips are yall gonna take?" I responded by telling her that you only live once and I want to make memories with my children and for them to be happy. We're not rich by any stretch but I have a savings and an "adventure fund." Wherever we decide to go, we put money in our adventure fund, and when it's time to go, we're able to afford it.
Our children deserve a good life, they aren't born to suffer and live at the bottom while others have fun and prosper.
We need to normalize blck children living a life of comfort.

@@blacknbougie8021 the aunt in the story reminds me of most of my mothers side of our family and as an adult about to start my own family (8 weeks pregnant currently not out of the woods yet tho) I pretty much want nothing to do with them; the type of adults who told me “I don’t have to respect you but you must respect me.” Such backwards ways some folks have. Love and adventure is the best way to go/be. Take care everyone

I don’t see this as extravagant, I see it as an amazing road trip adventure that you will have memories forever. This is my husband bucket, list for our family. However, there are nine of us. have a great time!
Well I guess if you think about the fact that they’re traveling a whole month when tons of Americans can’t even do a day or two…it could be seen as extravagant.

Thank you for bringing back the adventure of travel. Packing up everyone within a vehicle. And seeing the world around us from where we are. Glenn you and your lovely family are truly blessed. As a black man you have brought back memories of my father. I remember packing up into the station wagon. And writing down south. We made lots of pit stops along the way. My favorite is going to pray at a giant Cross. In 2005 my husband and I did the same thing. Loaded up the kids and drove down south to see his family. And then it was off to Disney world. But my children enjoyed the ride. Going to the Forest preserve. And playing in the playground. I however enjoy the sunset and the sunrise. For my husband he told me just the feel of what it was when he was a child driving down south was an experience he will treasure. Even though it sure does take a toll on the body. Stopping off at designated rest stops. For both of us to get sleep. So we can drive again was a true experience.

Y’all are so lucky to be able to work on the road like this. Im sure it’s hard work but it’s so nice you can make money and provide for your family simply by making memories and sharing them with us! Their reactions are so cute! Although I’m not a parent, I have nephews and I love seeing them get so excited about things they love. They just have so much unburdened enthusiasm for life.

I actually love this...I don't think yall were crazy at all. The experience will be a life long memory for your children that they will share with their children one day. This was also a good lesson for you and Yvette. Everything that you learned on/along the road and everything you experienced/ learned with/about your children. I commend yall....especially doing it with such young and active children in limited quarters. Looking forward to the next video.🤗

This is really inspirational! We bought a jeep Wrangler last year and took our first family road trip from Chicago to Key West(so beautiful!) I can't wait for more road trips across the many states. Praying for a safe journey for you all on all your stops🙏🏾🖤🖤🖤
