- G’DAY OWFsquad and welcome to my 31st flight in 2020! On 28th November, I flew Jetstar economy class from Adelaide to Darwin. Flying has changed a lot thanks to the pandemic. In this video, you will see how. Hope you enjoy, feel free to ask me anything about my flight experience in the comment section.

You cleaned that coat hook on your seat quite lovingly, Jayden🤣🤣
😝😝😝
I really enjoyed how your face lit up when you were asked why you are interested in aviation. I totally related to your feelings. I have been fascinated by aviation, especially commercial aviation, since I was a little boy. I guess some people don't understand why we are aviation enthusiasts. Maybe it's a feeling of wanting to be free of the earth and to fly like a bird. Thanks for doing your Q and A at the end of your videos. I really enjoy hearing your answers. Take care and have a good week and weekend. ❤🛫🌎🙏
yep I cannot explain to my mum why I am an av-geek😂 she never understands. Thanks John, Merry Christmas :)
The Hair! Glad to see your new post.
hehe thank you!
Yay! Nice video 👍🏻
thanks for watching mate!! :D
I actually like these kind of slimline seats used in this aircraft instead of the dull ones used in Citilink, Lion Air, and many other LCCs. It gives you more legroom. Nice as always, Jayden!
Indeed more legroom, sometimes a bit shaky though😂
I went to Adelaide from Cairns in a Jetstar A320 with the new interior like the one you were on! Great flight review!
thanks for watching mate!!
i love your video mr wonggg!!
Hey mate. Nice to see you. Great video 😊
thanks George!!
Good video and you never forget the coathook trademark 😆😆😆
hehe thanks Gary!!
Nice work mate. I hope I get a shout out on your great channel!
very soon Adrian!
Great Video👍👍
thanks for watching mate!!
Love how you colour co-ordinated your t-shirt with the room hue. So professional! That toastie and tea looked well mankie! I know we are in a time of crisis, but do the 'welcome' announcements have to sound so punitive and joyless. Not your fault but doesn't make you feel like visiting Darwin anytime soon. Still, always good to travel vicariously with you
hahaha true all the fines and stuff wow! When you fly internationally into Australia, they do similar announcements or they even show a video on the tv screens! Thanks Derek, take care in the UK!
❤️❤️💕💕 Yeayyyy.. Finally..
thanks Peter!
@@JaydenWong you're welcome dear.. Stay safe and stay healthy...
Hey Jayden, great review as normal mate, Good to see you out and about again it's been a shit time for you guys. I must admit I haven't been checking my favorite av geeks as much as normal!
So good to see you Jayden
it's ok haha, at least you're still a subscriber :) thanks Rod, Merry Christmas
@@JaydenWong Cheers mate and a very Merry Christmas to you too 😎
@@JaydenWong Funny story, when we had that emergency Adelaide lock down which was supposed to be for 6 days, I went to Pals bottle shop at Parafield Airport to buy a carton of beer and all the cadets from Flight Training Adelaide were there filling up trolleys with booze, I said " no flying guys for six days" they laughed and said yep, unfortunately it only lasted for three days!
I always enjoy your Videos... I am Lufthansa Cabin Crew Frankfurt, Germany... Stay Safe !!!
Thank you very much Ron! Take care :D
Amazing vid!
thanks mate!!
I liked how your cleaned the coat hook! 😝
hehe!
😆 yess new vid

The city where I'm living currently (Cebu) is possibly gonna have a spike in Covid cases sadly because a few nights ago, a church just simply violated social distancing rules and people just crowded around and no social distancing rules were followed. Nice trip report as always! Great exercise as well at 3:18 :D
That’s sad! Hopefully no one there had the virus!! Thanks for watching mate and take care!
While I missed flying for 22 months, glad did not have to go through all those domestic travel restrictions and rules and regulations. Until Covid I did not know that the States had the authority to lock the state borders.
Love your Q&A session at the end of your videos. Have not seen that before on CZcams. Well done Jayden!
haha I'm so glad domestic restrictions are gone gone now. Going back to SA during covid was more difficult than going through custom and immigration the other day
@@JaydenWong sulaian
Great trip report mate! From Darwin, I've flown many long flights with JetStar and Tigerair, as well as Jetstar Asia to Singapore. Not much choice for flights from here if you want a cheap fare!
thanks for watching mate! It's cool that you guys can catch Jetstar Asia to Darwin! In Adelaide there's only Singapore Airlines haha
And the hot food on Jetstar Asia is so good! Their signature Singapore chicken & rice is delicious and is available on both short and long flights.
Nice one Mate ☺🙌:)
cheers Windell!!
@@JaydenWong ☺👌:)
It`s always good to join Jayden on another flight! I think about 90 minutes on a Jetstar flight is the comfortable limit. I was planning my first flight in months to Sydney for Christmas, but with what is unfolding there at present I think that is now very unlikely to happen!
yep I did Sydney to Adelaide, it was fine. This one was a bit too long😂 I'm glad you didn't go to Sydney haha!
When you booked your trip to the US/Los Angeles a year ago did you even think it would be possible you’d be on lockdown and I could possibly be in Cabo? Well it’s true Jayden, you can’t drive across the border into Mexico but there’s no problems flying to anywhere in Mexico from the US. None of the Covid rules make any sense, but I am sure you will be back here in the US next year! Great video as always.❤️👍✈️
Nope not at all! It was February when I booked I think, I thought by June the world would be back to normal! Interesting rules LOL, so covid safe😂 Now I got Delta vouchers so I'll be visiting once borders are reopened!
Nice trip report , found it funny that you clean the coat hook at your seat even though you didn’t use it at all 😂 .
Jet Star’s fees are quite low , but if I will choose between jet star or other Australian airlines , I might choose those other Australian airlines . Specifically, Alliance Airlines, because I like their Fokkers and I am keen to try out new stuff .
A little fact for you : you took this flight on my birthday day XD
opps busted!!😵 Definitely other Aussie airlines haha. Only jetstar when it's dirt cheap or only option. thanks for watching mate!!
Thanks for the shout out, I really appreciate it. The legroom seems uncomfortable
Personally I prefer Jetstar in economy in terms of space compared to Virgin or Qantas. You lose a touch on legroom but the extra seat width of the Airbus makes a big difference for me.
The only reason I normally prefer VA or QF is because JQ service more than often sucks.
I agree with Ryan hahahah
Beautiful sunny Australië, here its dark and rainy
yep haha very reversed at the moment!
The cockpit was right there!!!!!
thanks for watching mate!!
Good trip Jayden. I do like the upgraded leather seats. However there was no flight entertainment onboard the Adelaide Darwin Route.
yep indeed, LCC being LCC haha
Merry Christmas Jayden
thanks Natelie, you too Merry Christmas!
Hi Jayden yay jetstar Airline it is a very long flight also merry Christmas and a happy New Year bro strong and stay healthy one love💯🛫🛬🎄🎅⛄🎁❤😍💪✊👊✌👍🎥🌎🌍🎉🎊
thanks Ricky! You too have safe and fun christmas and NY :D
Nice video
thanks for watching mate!! :D
@@JaydenWong Cheers, I love watching your trip reports each week.
You know, I have long wondered why there isn't a blanket policy to board aircraft from BOTH ends, since that would definitely expedite that process. It's funny the flight attendants make announcements all the time asking passengers to quickly find their seats, stow their luggage, etc. in order to speed it up, while passengers are only entering through ONE door and jamming the aisle(s) while making their way to their seats. It seems like JETSTAR is a pretty bargain basement carrier, the seats look a bit flat and uncomfortable and the food and drink items on offer for purchase seemed expensive. And WHAT a tiny lav...how would a very heavy and round person negotiate that? It's like a coat closet. 😁 Glad to see another trip report from you! Take care and stay safe and well!
Boarding/de-boarding from both ends is pretty common when the weather is good on Australian domestic flights. Jetstar and Virgin tended to always to do it from my experience, but Qantas are hit and miss whether or not they will do it. As a Qantas crew told me, they never know whether they will de-board/board from the rear, a crew just turns up with the staircase when someone has decided it will happen (I guess that decision is largely based around how quick they need to turn the aircraft around).
That's my thought to Ryan! The crew in the back galley never seem to know whether or not people will be disembarking through the back or not haha. Thanks Britt and Ryan!
FINALLY
thanks for watching mate!! :D
These views at 9:01 look gooood.
I still didn’t get the concept of jetstar. Are they more a LCC or a FSC? I mean you get Lounge access (at least if the lounge is open) that’s quite cool.
Good vid as always. Greetings from Germany!
They are LCC, but not Ryanair level of crap LCC.
The only reason you can get lounge access is Qantas (the parent company) already operate a lounge network throughout Australia so they extend that privilege to Jetstar passengers if they have a level of status with Qantas (their parent company), Qantas Club membership or Qantas Lounge Pass (which typically come via credit card deals).
Jetstar pre-COVID operated many direct routes that Qantas did not (eg. SYD TSV), so it's beneficial to them to maintain those deals with the Qantas Lounges to keep their loyal business fliers happy.
@@ryanconnor8578 thanks Ryan! That makes sense.
Reminds me of Lufthansa and their daughter company Eurowings.
Thanks for the explanation ✈️
wonderful flight report.Unfortunately we all have to adjust in the new reality
yep totally, and occasional border closure, Sydney recorded some cases today and yesterday after having zero cases for weeks! Now Western Australia shut their borders to NSW
13:59 LMAOOO Nothing beats the lavatory reports mate!
thanks mate :D
My longest experience on Jetstar A320 was 5hrs red eye between SIN-OKA, quite a nightmare as I couldn't sleep the whole night... But then the fare was really cheap (S$135 return) and it was the only direct flight between SIN and OKA, so some sacrifices were needed...
yep totally, if it's that dirt cheap I don't care😂 thanks for watching :D
Thanks OWF. I enjoyed the flight.
Good to see you. I thought of a nickname ...
Jayden “the huke” Wong. 💁🏼♂️
I like it!😝
@@JaydenWong 😘👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 👌
Hi Jayden! Thanks for the trip report. The view at 12:38 is gorgeous. Is Jetstar still considered to be a budget airline in Australia? I have read some reviews that say their service is not comparable to that of Qantas and Virgin Australia. An early Merry Christmas! As always, I look forward to your next video!
Yes Jetstar are a budget airline.
Used to be Qantas>Virgin for full service and Jetstar>Tiger for LCC. Tiger have disappeared and Virgin is now more a hybrid half way between Qantas and Jetstar.
Rex is going to enter the 'golden triangle' (MEL-SYD-BNE) next year and they are probably going to be at least on par with Virgin.
Yep Jetstar is budget :) but funny thing is since it’s part of the Qantas group, qantas frequent flyers sometimes have lounge access and points accrual! Thanks Man Shan!! Take care :))
I tend to fly Jetstar domestically only when it is the only option, just like I flew Jetstar JQ702 from Hobart (HBA) to Melbourne (MEL) on 25/11/2020
I do them when it's a lot cheaper than others or only option haha
Nice work Jayden. 👍
Do you know why rows 30 and 31 were blocked out? Was it for crew use? 🤔
Yes crew used them!
2:32 when your near to Qantas lounge you said dam it
Bro 😎 it’s cool to go in first class in corona
no first class in a320s :(
If you want a longer domestic flight, do Perth to Brisbane or Cairns. Thx for a great video tho
yes deffo, not with Jetstar though haha!
@@JaydenWong I think Qantas do it to Brisbane on a 737 and Idk if they still do it but last time I did that flight it was an A330-200
My longest domestic flight so far was Qantas QF843 from Darwin (DRW) to Sydney (SYD) with Boeing 737-800 on 24/2/2019, but it will probably replaced by my coming flight, also 1st flight of 2021, Qantas QF575 from Sydney (SYD) to Perth (PER) probably with Airbus A330-300 on 5/1
WA closed to NSW😭
@@JaydenWong Haiya, hopefully they will re-open by then, there is still weeks to go🙏🏻
@@JaydenWong Thankfully I am not travelling to there that soon
Jayden, if Id known you were going to Darwin I'd have advised you to use QF or DJ. The seat pitch on JQ doesn't make for a comfortable trip on a trip as long as the one up to Darwin. I learned that having lived up there for 10 year travelling backward and forward. :)
My Qantas flight leaving Darwin was heaps better ahha, thanks for watching Max!
@@JaydenWong did you come back down on the QF 787-9 repat flight out of Mumbai?
Yes! Darwin to Sydney
I used Jetstar flight SYD⇄ASP last year.
thanks for watching mate!! How was ASP?
@@JaydenWong It was hot🥵
Great video again.
Fingers crossed the Sydney cluster doesn't spread, and stuff up all the borders again !
Hope so
WA has shut to NSW😭
@@JaydenWong Hopefully the cluster will be in control🙏🏻
@@JaydenWong . I must admit , I don't blame them. According to ABC Brisbane, 7.00pm news...it now 17 confirmed. Queensland has declared that no one from those " hot spots" in NSW can come up here, without quarantine.
I have my fingers crossed. I fly Coolongatta to Melbourne on 26th
cool
thanks for watching mate!!
@@JaydenWong no problem! ☝️*
If the pizza guy don't lying, the border will not put back South Australia into lockdown again, but what I'm afraid now, is that NSW could back to lockdown again, they just report a cases, and it's come from the driver on SYD airport :v. I have ever experienced flying on A320 medium-haul flight (4 hours) From KL to Guangzhou, lots of legroom (cuz I sitting at the first row haha). But when flying on Citilink, from Yogyakarta (where I lived) to Medan, North Sumatra, the legroom was really narrow tho, I hardly found any comfortable position to sleep, and it's a really turbulent flight, the whole 2 hours 30 minutes flight was bumpy.
Complaining about the sandwich and tea, I agree, the sandwich looks very dry, the tea looks bland, but it's better than the one you got at the Qantas Club in Sydney right?😂. Nice vid
northern beaches already in lockdown, thankfully not the whole Sydney just yet... Yes you're right better than the one in the qantas lounge!!!
@@JaydenWong and the tea you got on the Qantas Club in Sydney Airport is just like how my mom pour the milk into my cup of tea, so I requested just a bit, but she put it a lot XD, making the tea looks bland haha.
In Indonesia, airports are back to normal just before the pandemic
lovely!!
Jayden another interesting vlog !
Back of the bus again ?
Jayden u should have wiped down your seat and surrounding area first ! Not just the window !
I am going to keep on you till you start doing it you know
😂 damn you'll have to remind me again in my upcoming videos
So quiet at the airport. My hometown airport, Long Beach, also does boarding at the rear of the plane. Though I think that's not happening now due to covid and low passenger count. Nice video as always.
Interesting! I mean that's fair, airlines here only started doing it in favour of fasting turnaround time. thanks for watching mate!! :D
nice pink shirt.
thanks😂
I’m flying to Darwin and that’s the airport I’m going to
aha correct!
Hi Jayden, just a question for you. Why don't you flight with Qantas and Virgin Australia via Alice Springs to Darwin?
cost! They both charge a lot more for Darwin flights, $400+ !!
First
yay!!
I’ve flown Jetstar from Syd to cairns, it was an early morning flight (6am),had brekkie at the airport since I knew JQ’s Oferring was going to be quite ordinary. It’s just a bit boring for the 2.5hr flight without any entertainment.
yep it's pretty much like a bus ride!
The best you can do on Jetstar is sleep...
1:15 🤦♂️
2:30 lol
3:15 ❤️
5:40 ✔️
Who made the intro music on your earlier videos? I still remember that tune.
5:40 very important haha
Good morning over there from the netherlands, its terrible every where with the lock down, it seems that China doesent have the corona virus anymore??? The whole of Europe is in lock down, nice flight
China is still recording some cases here and there, but no major outbreaks. thanks for watching and take care!!
Sign of the times. The sign you showed near the escalator said "airplane" not 'AEROPLANE' which is the only way that aircraft are defined in Australia. ps. Jetstared ex MELB to DARWIN Return & it's a fair way, 5hrs approx., but suits our many 'Ultra Long Haul flight experiences to a tee. Also. We had a woman captain on return & she wore a khaki uniform. pps. Age 17 learned to fly in 1957 in a Tiger Moth biplane at RoyalVictoriaAeroClub (Melbourne).
haha true, I guess airplane is easier to pronounce too. Wow she must be one of Australia's first female pilot/captain!
2:31 damn it😂
:)
your neighbor seat was empty, so you had same experience like in an intra european business class. no headrest, no IFE, just a little better food
haha pretty much!!
@@JaydenWong So you almost had an LH 5 * Business Class experience 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
6 am....far tooo early for me 😛. Unfortunately I am in Melbourne and it’s only opened up 6 weeks ago, a was planning Sydney for Xmas but alas the northern beaches outbreak has changed my plans 😏 did you just say one way for 200 over bucks! Rip off eh
yep very expensive :(
Melbourne is heaps better than Sydney (and Adelaide) now haha

Hey mate! Loved this video. I have a request. I'm an HSC student currently completing the HSC course for a subject called Multimedia. We are effectively required to create a product (in my case, a short film) using industrial processes, and some of the angles you got of the flight would be extremely useful in contributing to overall immersion in my film. I won't include shots where you're in the camera (just to respect privacy, etc), but I would love to use some shots where you're filming some parts of the cabin. I ask this as we are required to seek permission from the publisher before outsourcing content :-).
Looking forward to your response. Thanks!
Hey there! You’re more than welcome to use any of the footage. Good luck with your course :)
