- If you forgot your password or PIN (or password is not working) to your Samsung Galaxy TAB S8, S8+ or S8 Ultra then I show you how to factory reset it. Don't forget with a factory reset you will lose all your personal settings, photos, videos, etc.
IMPORTANT NOTE: IF YOU HAD A GOOGLE ACCOUNT (GMAIL) SYNCED TO YOUR TABLET YOU WILL NEED TO REMEMBER THE GMAIL ALONG WITH ITS PASSWORD TO COMPLETE SETUP AFTER THE FACTORY RESET.

My only (very, very minor) complaint is that I ordered this in bronze and they sent me black. Yes, it should have been corrected, but we were only in country for a short period of time and I didn't want to run the risk of not getting a new one in time. I'm such a fan of Samsung Galaxy tablets that I'd rather suck it up than lose out on having it. In the big scheme of things, this rates an irritant factor of .0000000001 out of 1000. In other words, I'm not looking at the colors when I use it, so I got over it very easily.

The trick with plugging the USB cord so it doesn't just reboot immediately really helped. I was stuck!

Did factory reset but asking for orig pin , I got the tablet from estate sale factory reset still didn’t wipe everything cleaned . I shldnt have to use a pin or orig email right ?

I did more than 10times, but it didn't work. So I called to a tech support . But he told me the totally same process way.(he just said " being charge" So I wired to a outlet.)
Anyway I thought this would be the last try for me and the end solution is to send it to the factory😅.

Yep, same here. I was hooked to my desktop PC, and after 10 times I gave up. Then I saw your comment, so I tried wall outlet, didn't work, then I tried laptop, and it worked the 1st time!

It worked! It has to be charging or plugged into the computer...as soon as the screen goes blank press VOL UP (without letting go of Power button) and as soon as the Samsung logo shows up LET GO of BOTH buttons (this was fast for me). I have a Tab S6 Lite. Having it side ways on the table (buttons up) works better!

I've just purchased this Samsung T8 but dont want to have to put in the password everytime it clicks off or I turn it off. I had entered a password during the set-up stage so is there anyway to delete the password WITHOUT doing a factory reset?

This was great, I just spent two hours with tech support who were very nice but I could not understand, and the end solution was for me to send it back to the factory for up to 10 days, or call them back when the battery dies to try the reboot them. Ultimately that would not have worked either because they were not explaining what you did in MINUTES. I understand cheaper labor but this is even unfair to them. ugh But I digress.........THANK YOU!

This did not work for me. It just kept going back to the screen asking for my pin. I literally just got this today, set my pin, face recognition. Let it set for an hour, went back to it, pin didn't work. Tech told me to reboot it, now it won't accept my pin or face. *quick update* I had to plug it into my computer for this to work. It would not work any other way. But it worked the first time once I had it plugged into my PC

What options is there when you don’t have the gmail account info after doing a factory reset and the tablet still ask for a password? Is there anything else?
Go to your Google account, go to manage account, and then click on the devices you're signed in. You should be able to sign out of your tablet.
Does this work for galaxy Tab S6?

It did not work on my Tab. Samsung galaxy Tab A8. This is a brand new tab that I supposed to give to my brother . I set it up once , used 1 day and 3 weeks later, we forget the password to unlock

What if I dont have access to my Gmail account associated with the device? Majority of my accounts were hacked and I more or less lost them.
You lose it forever.
Google accounts, manage account, go to where you're signed in, sign out of device.
