- This time I will bring you to a place very close to my heart - and to the coast of Tuscany: the Elba Island.
I've been coming here each year for the past 20-something years and this time I brought with me some film and a couple of good old cameras: the Rollei 35S and the Yashica FX3.
The Elba Island is a famous touristic location in Italy, where amazing water meets green hills and beautiful towns. Let's explore some of the highlights together in a few days!

What a beautiful location and stunning photos!
Hey thanks for your comment! This video is not getting a lot of love so I'm glad you found it interesting. Definitely visit the Elba Island if you ever have a chance to!
@@michelefranciotta will do!!
Beautiful location, I enjoyed watching.
I have fond memories of visiting Isla de Elba on my holiday yo Italy in the early 1990s, hopefully someday I'll go back and take a few more photos this time!
I've added your channel, hopefully you'll connect with another retro photographer?
atmosfere affascinanti 🤩🤩🤩
Un posto magico!
Love the rollei shots. Making me wanna load a roll in mine!
Then definitely go ahead and do it 😊 thank you!
Very cool video. I love that Rollei camera! :)
Thanks mate! I think it's still quite reasonable in terms of price so I guess you could pick one up and try it yourself 😊 it's really good!
@@michelefranciotta :) awesome, I see them every time I shop on eBay for old film cameras, I might get one at some point.
@@md3631363 great! Just remember to buy the little adapter for the battery as the original one cannot be found nowadays. It's and easy grab off ebay or amazon 😊
@@michelefranciotta awesome, thanks! :)
Nice shots, and storytelling! I have a 35S too. Probably the last roll holes didn't engaged perfectly with the camera and that's why a piece of film was destroyed. Yhis also might happen if the last fram is not perfectly "aligned" with the winding mechanism: you rey to davance it and the film ends in the middle of the frame. This may causa some film to break inside. But nothing catastrophic :) Ciao!
Ciao José! Thank you so much for your comment, I really appreciate your take on the ripped film issue 😊 that makes perfect sense. Also, sometimes you can squeeze a couple more frames (37,38 exposures) but that feels super stressful on the film. I think it's better not to on the Rollei! Have a great day 👍🏻
eh when it comes to load the film always while recording ppl have problem ;3 No worries ^^' I load all film perfectly too until i record a video XD Than......... it took eons XD
Ahahah that's a universal law then
where did you get your shutter release cover?
Hey there! I bought it on amazon, it was around 2.99 if I remember correctly :)
Which film did you shoot?
Hey ben! I was shooting kodak ultramax 400 on the rollei 35S and some kodak Gold on the Yashica Fx3
And also another roll of portra400 in the Rollei
@@michelefranciotta Perfect! Grazie mille:)
