    If you bought some batteries for your Rollei 35/35S/35T and you can not figure out where they go, this video is for you!
    We sell those Type 675 hearing aid batteries which perfectly fit inside the battery chamber of a Rollei 35, 35 S and 35 T with a rubber ring adapter. This makes them a perfect replacement for the old PX625 mercury batteries that are no longer available.
    The batteries that are included are based on Zink-Air and don't distort the measurement of the light meter, since they offer a constant ~ 1.4 V current until complete discharge.

      Hi, you can try to poor some alcohol or petrol in the thread. Most of the time, the thread is corroded and a bit and a bit of solvent + adequate force might help.

    Very clear video. Thanks for the advice. Are these batteries keeping a stable 1.35V along their lives?

    Received your kit today, thanks a lot! However, even after cleaning contacts and bending the spring, the light meter does not show any movement whatsoever. Is there anything else that I could check? I bought this camera with a non working light meter so I don't know if it's working at all.

      Nothing more you can do except finding a donor camera with a working light meter.

    I just received the kit today and when i tried to bend the spring of the battery cap, the whole spring came off so i pushed it back. Is it normal? I was wondering if I need to solder or something.... it seems my light meter doesnt work, so i have no idea if that was the issue...

    • @ausgeknipst
      @ausgeknipst  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, thanks for reaching out.
      It can sometimes happen, that the spring jumps out. Pushing it back into place was the correct thing to do :) The important ting is that you still bend the spring, so it makes contact for sure.
      If your light meter still does not work, check if the contacts in the battery tray are corroded. You can scrap off the corrosion with a screwdriver and spray it with a bit of contact spray to make sure everything is ok.
      If you still have a non-working light meter, it is likely, that the internal cabling of the light meter itself are corroded. To repair this, you require to disassembly the top cover and some soldering skills.

      Yes you can, but a SR44 won't give you the appropriate voltage over time.

      only reason I see is that you have to replace those zinc air batteries more frequently since they don't last as long. But this shouldn't be a big deal since they are fairly cheap and replacement is easy. @@ausgeknipst do you have an estimation on the lifespan inside the Rollei 35S ?
