Yes, the Optional USB harness will support quick charge. Unfortunately you will lose the ability to play music from USB when not using CarPlay or AA mode
Is there a way to use GPS on Carplay with this while simultaneously listening to your car radio?
Also, is it still expected to be back in stock November 2020?
Yes it is possible but you will not be able to hear the turn by turn direction voice

Does carplay still work if you unplug your phone and also does this work with the basic 2014 sr5 oem screen
Carplay will not work when you unplug your phone. It will work with the basic 2014 SR5 OEM Screen
Just discovered this. When is it back in stock and when is it going to be wireless? Also, if it's not wireless now, can we upgrade wireless once we buy this one?
This will be in stock at the end of the month. We will release a wireless upgrade kit around the end of next year.

will this work on a 2013 4runner sr5 premium? screen looks like this but runs a different, but similar program.
Unfortunately this is only compatible with 2014-2019. 2013 models radio consists of different wiring harness
Do you have a similar kit for 2015-2017 Camry too.?
The same kit is compatible with 2015-2017 Camry as well
Will text messages pop up on screen when in Apple car play?
Yes, text messages will pop up on screen when in Carplay mode
Do you have to repeat the process every time you start the car? Meaning, press Aux, press power 2x, plug in phone. Or, will it automatically go to CarPlay once you plug in your phone?
If you were in aux before you turned off the car when you reboot the car will still be in aux. you just need to plug in the phone and double click the power button. Takes 3 seconds
3 seconds huh..? nonetheless, a minor annoyance for some.
Any oem equipped carplay systems will need steps taken to access the app via their radio.
what is average installation cost of this product for a 2016 Toyota Avalon XLE. Also I think you awesome, I have been looking at doing this for a while now.
Installation cost can vary from $100 to $500 depending on your location. I suggest installing it yourself. It’s not too difficult

Does this retain the steering wheel controls for the head unit?
Yes, only volume controls. For seek and other menu options you will need to use the radio touchscreen.

You can use a usb flash and listen using oem radio

How is the sound quality of the mic when on calls versus the stock mic? Would I just use the original USB port in my phone to switch to the regular wired option on OEM side if wanted to use the other mic say if it’s better or is the other mic disabled with this setup?
We have it set so your calls will route to the car’s Bluetooth to retain the normal call quality you are used to. Yes you can either use the original USB port or have a separate usb extension cable. Our new kit uses the factory mic

Yes, with Carplay approved radio application like Tune in Radio

Beat-Sonic good to know. It’s not inconvenient to me...just less business for you. 4runners suffer from the worst tech package on any car being sold today, so things like CarPlay are in the highest demand for this truck. You come up with things like 360 camera, rear and front park assist, push button start, keyless entry etc and youll be sitting on a gold mine because every 4Runner owner would love to have these add ons that are only avail on the limited trim, which no ones buys because you have to give up a lot of the off road gizmos and trim for it

If you are in Android Auto / Carplay mode and put it into reverse will the screen go to the camera automatically? Also does this support a second camera?
JWM816 yes from AA/Carplay mode when you put your car into revere gear it will go to the backup camera automatically. This does not support a second camera

These CarPlay module videos from all the different players are irritating click bait because they lack the ability to purchase and don’t offer pricing. The Korean websites seem to place the price point at $600 if I did my conversion correctly.... may as well but a full replacement unit.
No click bait scheme here. Real product coming soon. There are little details that still need fixing that we are working on before the full release.

Got something like this on my 2018 Camry. Would be nice if the price point was under $200. At this cost you might as well replace the head unit with a wireless capable Android Auto or Carplay aftermarket head unit.
