hi bro , i am from france and i have bmw f10 , s5 , 2011, 520D , i just knocked a pig on the road and since that i have error of pedestrian protection system, i changed the bumper the head ligh the headlight support the traverse metal for bumper and even there is long slwhite strip behind bunper for order protection, but still i have the error on the board

Did you have trouble with water leaking into the cabin From the yellow steering rack cover in the front passenger footwell?
Hi 👋 i had this problem back in 2017, this is a very common leak that can flood passenger front and rear floor matt, remove the carpet on passenger side and the yellow cap sometimes is broken or it is so clogged with dirt that water starts coming in, so remove the cap and clean all the dirt properly then put on the cap again and seal it with a silicone sealant, your problem is now fixed
@@ThatBeamerGuy thank you for taking the time to reply. Just last week I faced this issue after very heavy rain. I have ordered a new yellow cap from abroad, and have also put Absorbia boxes in the car to dry it up.
Did you take any precaution with cleaning up the drain channels in the front of the car? Or will just changing the yellow cover fix it?
I also want to say that your videos are very informative, they really help us owners of older Germans. I was able to dissuade my friend who was going to buy a 2011 A8 by sending him your video on that car.

@vedant8076 just take out the dirt behind cap and make sue it is clean even after a new cap seal it with silicone

Sir which car should I buy a bmw 530d m sports , jaguar XLJ Or Audi A8L in 20 lacks? All are 2015-2016 models.
Im no expert but Audi A8L might be a reliable option as 2nd hand BMWs are mostly driven by car enthusiasts and may not have a good engine condition.

It's almost a crime.. How do they get away with all this..? With so many design flaws, plastic parts in almost all critical engine parts that are bound to fail and with so many unreliable parts.. Imagine spending all that money and a small puddle of water can screw up this machine and make it useless is indeed a crime.. If not for the overhype these cars shouldn't even exist in the used car market with all the expensive failing parts..
The steering rack issue I had thought in only Audi a4 and a3.
Do you recommend any Audi or bmw which can avoid this ?
Audi a8 and q7 uses traditional power steering
And old bmw before 2010 uses traditional power steering 3,5,7 all uses electric steering rack x5 has a traditional steering rack
