Ultimate documentary of a rolled ankle.....
Right? Take it easy dude, we get it.
Life changing documentary...
Lmao Nick’s “inspirational” speech is just him trying to excuse why he’s not listening to the doctor.
You don’t think he went back to his doctor again? I bet they know each other pretty well and have good communication
@@johncalvinjohnson651 I’m sure he did. Just thought the timing of it in the video was pretty funny.
@@howie6707 i dont think you do either
@@howie6707 lmao what does that have to do with anything bud
@@howie6707 take it easy CoD player. Nick had a Ranger tab, just like millions of officers in the Army. He passed a leadership school, he wasn't an operator.
I agree nick, but injuries happen and it is okay to rest and heal and get your body back to where it was, without pushing yourself too hard and evidently could end up with an even serious injury to where that next one could be uncontrollable
Something you learn when the injury is your brain.. (concussion). When you can’t see the injury or feel it, the body needs to repair for long term success.
“I don’t over think the ability to take action, I’m not paralyzed by over analysis, there’s something I want to do, I’m going to do it, I’m going to take massive immediate deliberate action as hard and fast as possible.”- Nick Bare
This is the best video I’ve seen in a while and now my favorite. Thank you for being a good role model.. especially for the younger fitness crowd like myself trying to get into the military
Doc: 0% chance to run 14 miles this weekend okay?
Nick: Okay
*Goes to run 14 miles*
"its not hard work its just my standard" love it stealing it.
Track work in vaporflys? Ohh baby! I bet that's like skippin in a bounce house, well, until you roll your ankle.
@@MaximusTCR with the negative energy... alright, Mr expert. I'm sure you can do way better.
@@sivuyilegebe1560 I'm just calling it for what it is and I do pretty well actually - must be all that negativity.
@@MaximusTCR keep analyzing, my good sir. 🤣🙏🏿
@@sivuyilegebe1560 Thanks buddy!
Damn 10yrs in the Army and I’m debating whether I way to get out or not. This video literally ties into “Fear Of The Unknown” so many parallels just pushing yourself no matter what it is, whether it’s decision making, running a business, working out! Making that point of intensity the standard.
Love watching and hearing you succeed! It’s good energy
I think it was in your first episode, when you were lacing up your shoes and stretching you mentioned not needing motivation or pep talks. You're right. You are wired different. Your "wiring" is motivation to an average person like me to not get stopped by fear or obstacles, but to pivot and overcome. I wish the hold world could see parts of this video and quit being afraid to work hard or act like they need to tell everyone in the office about the 50 pushups they did this morning. Thank you for being an example of what hard work earns you.
Good morning Team let’s give Nick his flowers while he’s still around. This man has tremendously changed my perspective on fitness and continues to push himself. Idk wt motivates this man but I need a dose of it ❗️because it’s incredibly admiring man💯.
Best content on CZcams. Good luck on finishing up training. Excited to see what you put down come May.
Nick has given so much encouragement and nuggets of wisdom.
My question is...why can’t the track team take up the track. I can’t say I agree with putting any blame on them for utilizing the track.
He’s a narcissist what do you expect?
@Dylan Wells he did not explicitly say it But his tone did.
Maybe because it’s a public track.
@@algarnett7054 He never blamed them for his injury but I’d be pissed too for a track team that’s taking up all the lanes. I mean I’d understand if it was their private track but what makes them think that they can use all the lanes?
@@shipleyzimlich8032 when I ran track in high school we would have both the boys and girls teams out at the same time, both with easily 50-75 people on each team, and I dont think our team would be considered that big. If you have a full team out you cant fit everybody in just the first few lanes. And they were probably just practicing for like an hour or so, doesnt seem weird at all they were using the whole track
This was the most dramatic video for a sprained ankle. I thought he was going to amputate his whole leg 😂
BOOM, just added this video to my CZcams Inspiration playlist after that hard work is my standard talk! Great stuff man!
One of the best videos in a while nick. Thanks for putting this out, ill keep it in my back pocket as I approach this week.
Thank you for this video nick I’ve hit a wall with my running but now I’m motivated to keep on moving even if I’m not getting better. Just gotta have patience and believe in myself.
I don’t think you rolled your ankle that bad if you ran 2 days afterwards.
Haha,
N- What are the chances of me running a 14 this weekend...?
Dr.-ahh well none
N- soooo I just finished my 14, it was good
Great reminder Nick! Set the standard!! Love it.
This is really high quality content... big props to the whole BPN team for letting us be a part of their journey.
Just finished the cinnamon roll whey protein and now finishing up my strong reds and strong greens while watching this :) Thank you for the motivation Nick! Go one more!
My man’s got a $10,000 cervelo but won’t go to see a real doctor?
Nike Keep doin Just what your doing sir, I'm totally with you 100%, At a Deeper level most persons are'nt going to get what your saying cause you've built your mind up over a long period of time to be able to mentally do what your doing which is rare sir, Congrats to you and your just getting started.
Great video, Nick! One of the best ones yet
I love this... can’t wait to truly get into my triathlon training man your an inspiration
It’s a standard! Absolutely awesome speech about this entire topic!
This video has to be one of the best you put out. Resinates 100%
Probably one of the best video of Ironman Prep
Thanks Nick! Training for IM Tulsa! You are motivation at its best!
i absolutely love how this is filmed and edited
I get what you're saying but your trademark is "Go One More" That is putting hard work on a pedestal. I love all of the content so please keep it coming.
Fantastic words. Really motivating. Thankyou.
The inspirational music in the background is too much, you rolled your ankle.
Nick: “Move fast and break things”
Ankle : “ noh nick stahp it”
Very Inspirational and words to live by.
This was a motivational sermon today, love it
You become unstoppable when you fully understand, acknowledge and take action becoming confortable being uncomfortable. It becomes another day
This is the inspiration I needed. Now let’s get after it in the weightroom.
the end of this video is so inspiring
2 mile warmup... my whole workout was 2 miles...
My friend, you worked out. That means you're lapping everyone who stayed on the couch. Keep fighting the good fight!
Welcome to youtube...dont trust this fool unless he connect to Strava.
@@truth-Hurts375 a 2 mile warm up is not uncommon? I do up to a 4 mile warm up sometimes. 2 miles is a pretty common warm up distance.
@@tristanliggett4088 depends on what you are training for and how your body reacts to stimulus.
@@nate5773 I know. I probably know more about training than 99% of people as I’ve read COUNTLESS books on training whether that’s Summer if Malmo, Jack Daniels Distance Running Formula, etc etc. I’m just saying that a 2 mile warm up for anyone racing 800m and above is fairly common. Ofc if you’re a sprinter and you run the 60m-400m your warm up is going to consist of more drills than jogging, but yes, 2 miles is a common warm up distance.
ok i literally love nick and i just cant tell if this is smart or dumb but I trust him. Keep inspiring me. thank you king
Best episode of this season!
Now that’s a language I understand. We should all stop putting thing on pedestals and instead set standards. I love it
Love this! However, I think it's important to take into account that "hard work" may look different for different people. Depending on resources, knowledge, and other factors.
Yes, but hard work dosent exist for David Goggins.. stay hard, he says...
@@diegoguerino777 😂😂😂😂
Everything needed for success was just shared in this video.
Most people will not/do not understand the mentality and the reasoning behind running those 14 miles on Saturday after the doctor said there is a 0% chance of that happening; however, Nick is not most people. It takes a special person to push through adversity to attain and accomplish a goal. Keep up the great work, Nick!
Great words Nick thanks for sharing
I love how you keep that balance and you run so much and at the same time you maintain that muscle and you are not like these marathon runners that have only bones on them
Because he takes testosterone... not hating just facts. Probably why he rolled his ankle, he said he has weak ankles... no just your ankles are designed to support your natural body weight.
@@CautionBeforeCoffee ye you are right but still he is doing really hard work and he has a really trainned mind not like the boonobos who become monsters but they have no brain
@@DaniakisOfficial 100% I give him all the credit for his achievements, you still have to earn those. Just easier to maintain more size that’s all I was referring to.
Just getting started - respect.
Ya what you said about the vapor flies makes sense: the high rocker gives a lot more leverage on that joint when it starts to go over. Never thought of that.
Nick, great message! Heal quick!
"what are the chances of that happening"
"zero"
*next scene is bare naked nick bare running*
I legit did ankle strengthening exercises 1:45. I was also prone to it. It really helped big time. If you know you have weak ankles specifically - address it. Don't stay weak and sick.
What other issues are you ignoring? A good time to consider and analyze and make a new plan while you got some time off running.
Favorite ep yet!!
Speedy Recovery Nick! Stronk 💪
this gets me fired up. Thats why I left the sweet on the counter. Thanks Nick. One step closer to the weight goal :)
Iron man canceled now a rolled ankle, man keep grind nick even through all these obstacles. Come out even better!!
How does Nick not have 1mil subs. He's putting in some work.
Your speech is so inspirational!!! Love Your work mate!! #Keeppushing #FromPortugal
Production quality is so good
Brooo why are you wearing vapor flys on a track?? They are a road racing shoe meant for going straight. They have no lateral support. Also, no need to use them during training period. Just a tool to help in races
Because he wants to look ‘pro’ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Having watched a few videos and decided that Nick is a good and honest guy, I'm still very much on the fence with this whole channel. I run, look after myself and go to work and do a great job but does vanity have to play such a huge part of life. What you have, what you can buy, what you consume, how you look and is this really the best message for young people? I'm not saying I have all the answers but!
Nick your my hero😭💯.
This couldn’t have come at a better time. I rolled my ankle a couple of days ago, and had to substitute biking in for running
Just wanted to say loved the book and has inspired me more on starting my own gym. Do have a question do you have a Spotify playlist or playlist in general you listen to when you work out?
I agree. I see so many of my peers paralyzed in doing something because they over analyze "it" instead of just taking careful action.
Great video!!
It’s a rolled ankle buddy, just relax for a couple days and it’ll be fine lol this is a bit dramatic but I understand nonetheless. 😂
Haha, too true. Surprised they didn’t use the soundtrack from chariots of fire!

Im always inspired on your video..keep safe.
The first half of this video was pretty boring but the second half well made up for it. Talk about inspirational! That’s what it’s all about right there. Loved the last half of this video!
Hi Nick, i am a huge fan of you and your channel. I am also a fan of mixing bodybuilding and running the way you do. I saw your video of where you ran a 4:53 mile outdoors on the pavement at 6' 193 lbs of bodybuilder type muscle, and I was extremely impressed! I was wondering if you could make a video of yourself doing a sub-5 minute mile on a 400meter indoor or outdoor track? That would be awesome!
Can we get more videos in between these iron man preps vids? More stuff at BPN HQ. Miss seeing Joe and Preston the OGs!!!!!
Honestly this is why I run and workout like I do..and use his products. Just solid stuff all around..life is short, get it while you can. No excuses
Waste of money

So true! Today I went for my first half marathon and woke up sore as hell, my muscles were aching everywhere. But I went out and got stitch after the first 50m 😎. But yeah, iet iezz what iet iezzz I guess so we went on and it went away after 9kilometers. It was my worst average pace since I started running, but we move on. Tomorrow is another day.
This was my TedTalk, thank you for listening.
Lol
@@anonymeanonyme4047 it was quite the experience
As a guy who tore ATFLs in both ankles while in the service, definitely take time. One roll led to another, then another, then another. To the point when they finally did an MRI, the ligaments were just gone.
damn nick! every single time I watch your video it makes me want to workout. You're amazing!
This one is probably one of my favourite videos of yours so far!!
Move fast and break things. My new life mantra!
He didn't come up with it, btw
@@GurjinderToor thank you captain obvious for pointing that out
This is probably one of the best videos I’ve seen in a long time. Thank you for the inspiration Nick. Such a good message
Watching this channel for a while now & I 100% agree. Very well produced as well.
Nick should build his own track on some land near the BPN facility if possible 🏃🏼💨
Seeing the IG post you're referencing was a big perspective shift for me and I've adopted the line about putting hard work on a pedestal as a mantra I keep in my head now. Looking at it from this angle, glorifying hard work sounds as ridiculous as someone being surprised you would use a car to get from one point to another. Like yeah, that's just what you do. That's the vehicle that gets you from one place to another. There's nothing special about the mode of transport.
Their are actual exercises that can be done to strengthen the ankle. They are done with a resistance band plus balance exercises and stretching. I have posterior tibial tendon strain in both ankles. I went through PT.
Rolled my ankle completely on a track during a pt test a few years back, it turned purple and swelled up. I wore a compression brace. It took about 4-6 months to heal up completely. Take your time. Sit Indian style if you feel like it hurts or too much pressure, you probably shouldn’t be running. Cycle instead....
👏💪 always inspiring!
Awesome vid.
If u love what u do it’s not hard it’s fun. I love cycling and the suffering along with it but it’s not a grind it’s my escape and a time where I can be alone and enjoy life
keep up the good work
This episode got me doing push ups in the floor
You are inspirational
I would love to see a follow up that's about recovery during training. This plays such a huge role in the success of so many top athletes and I imagine Nick's no exception.
Paralysis by analysis 🤜🤛

You just saw his recovery, basically keep going LOL
@@CharlZard19 😂
Thank you nick! These words hit me like a ton of bricks! Every time someone tells me to slow down I hit the gas pedal! I don’t look back! Thank you again!
Time to build your own track !!!
Thanks
Right?! Exercise is fun!
Giving your body time to rest and recover is just as important as putting in the hard work. I just had to take two weeks off dealing with paroneal tendon pain, what a dramatic video for just rolling your ankle and taking a couple days off
In my opinion, this is definitely the best video you have ever made.
What a BEAST!!
