The reason why the song list in Phigros is not that impressive compared to other mobile rhythm games is because it's made free to play so you don't have to pay for any of the songs and the collabs are official
Well regardless, there are some pretty good songs on Phigros.

but also, it has some of the best originals you can hear, like distorted fate and igallta
and cause its fully free, its basically the best starting rhythm game right now

Phigros slander. Ch8 is peak rhythm games
For Phigros you just need to play more to unlock the good songs. The legacy chapters are lackluster but the further you progress the better the songs get. The single songs and collabs are a mixed bag
ngl the meh starting songs is the reason why I never got into phigros despite the really interesting twist on the genre
not gonna grind for better songs if the grind isn't at least a bit enjoyable
(especially after being spoiled by arcaea, like there's no comparison)
@@toyuyn the non enjoyable part is just the first madatory quest to clear 5-10 song in Legacy, after that, its pretty much amazing and so epic, tho for the singles(Memory Archive in Arcaea), you need to play for a long time to unlock all song in it, and for collabs, just play it... If i ever rank the rythm games, i do put Arcaea and Phigros in the same tier, which is both deserve the highest tier for me

I spent way too much money playing maimai and chunithm at the arcades lol (I have gold timezone card, probably gonna reach platinum soon). But they're really fun and you look cool as fuck playing them. Sometimes I flex my skills towards my friends and family and even if I fuck up a song, I'm decent enough at the game to look cool while playing it.

While I do agree the starting songs are lacklustre, it does have quite the number of bangers (sakuzyo, silentroom, seura, ebimayo, team grimoire, rN, etc)
The gameplay you showed barely shows the "mind games" phigros plays...
Not to mention the game is completely free, but has cool effects and cutscenes that sends you goosebumps

clearly you haven't played enough phigros, i think you should look into it more since it gets really good with the later chapters and boss songs
it's a really high production and free rhythm game that you can get into easily, strongly recomend it to those who don't know what phigros is
sorry i wrote too much haha, just being a phigros player for quite a while so i wanted to point it out
Phigros is amazing my guy, and there are literally so many comments that agree so that fect that you said 'meh' shows that YOUR just 'MEH'. No not really I hope you have an amazing day! But really Phigros is so good because it's 1. Free, 2. Good Gameplapy, and 3. Good songs. as long as you look for them, like for example, legacy and the first few chapters aren't that great but songs in further chapters, collabs, etc. are good! I think if you can get the hang on the gameplay (which for me i find easier than having to press keys) than you might find the game really fun!

On a serious note tho, the starting songs ARE kinda mid, but there are a LOT of great song with fun and challenging, you just gotta unlock the chapters (also by that review _I KNOW_ you haven't played chapter 7 and 8, or at least unlocked their boss songs. chapter 8's bosses are rhythm game peak go play now (or at least look up some gameplay))

I love Rhythm games. Before I got into fighting games they were my main game.
I played stepmania, lots of Osu, Cytus, Taiko (in an actual arcade in Japan), pump it up.
DDR was my best game though. It’s a dead art.
I can play expert and challenge on Supernova, and I found an arcade with a machine recently. It felt good getting to show off, but DDR will always basically be a one trick pony, where its one trick is based on how hard it is to play.
And if you play DDR with actual proper form it looks hella boring. So I genuinely play unoptimally cause it looks cooler and makes me try harder.

DDR chart isnt as impressive as pump, if you play pump too you can see theres so much gimmick chart movement, sometimes it can made non players wonder how us players can read that chart 🤣, it always put smiles on my face seeing someone uttery confused like that
