I just upgraded from mini 2, obstacle detection and way point flight are terrific features, the new transmission system is very strong, I can retain control through metal buildings!
I have one YOU didnt know. In Cruise Control, you can add additional movements, one at a time, cumulatively. Example: Fly forward in cruise. Push throttle up for slight altitude rise... hold it, tap assigned Cruise Control button (Cruise Control Updated.) Now add just left yaw. Tap CC button "Updated" - each addition keeps all running flight controls, and adds JUST ONE MORE. ITS CUMULATIVE, AND SUBTRACTIVE (YOU CAN "REMOVE" a movement by reversing a stick movement and updating cruise. Its damn near magical!

Darren, thanks to you and your videos, I now own a brand new Mini 4 Pro… 💵💵💵 Talk about the “omnidirectional vision system” of the Mini 4 Pro vs the Mini 3 Pro “tri-directional obstacle sensing”. A few days ago I was showing the flying capabilities of my M3P to a prospective buyer who was interested my M3P. So I’m flying in a narrow alleyway with shrubs on either side, I went to turn around and hit the wrong direction on the joy stick and flew sideways into a shrub, down went the drone right in front of my buyer. Fortunately, the M3P was only about 3.5 meters from the ground and landed upside down on grass, no damage and best of all the guy bought the drone anyway.😅 Glad the M4P has omnidirectional vision, although I don’t want to test it 🤪
Can somewhat help out? I got in a hurry to film when I purchased the 4 Pro. Having the 3 Pro already I just threw one of those batteries in and I didn’t charge the first battery fully before first using it. Does that mess up any of The smart features? If so can I fix it in anyway? P.S thanks for your videos Ive learned a lot from you!!
Another great video Darren, with great news about different things you didn’t no. It was a wash over the weekend and the mini 4 was grounded grounded in the Birmingham area. We are having to duck and dive the showers. Take care my friend 👍
No one else to turn to but you! Random! I have a feiyutech g6 gimbal that worked perfectly! I accidentally did the stupid firmware that everyone says not to and that I avoided for 3 years.. I used the app and now like everyone else.. it’s a limp brick.. no video exists on how to fix it. You would be a hero to a ton of people if you can figure out a fix and make a video.!!!!!!
Great informative video thanks. But I have to say that I am on my second Mini Pro 4, because on both drones I am getting some pretty severe pixel flashes and juddering. Luckily they're within DJI warranty and when I report the issue I don't get much help from DJI apart from being advised to reflash the firmware. I think I have tried everything but I would be glad to hear any advice on how I could correct this problem.
I got my 4 a few days after release. Since then I’ve flown 20 flights and a few hours. At first there wasn’t much issue but after the latest update, I’m getting connection errors when trying to do quick downloads. That’s not so bad but there’s been another problem. When I start the drone and RC, the RC says “move antennae” bad signal nearly every time I fire it up. I’m within a few feet of it! Ito clearly not a hardware issue which scares me because can this happen ( lose signal) during flight which elevates risk of a crash or blow away. I’m being patient with all the bugs hoping as each update takes place they fix or improve some of these little annoying things
I absolutely love the mini 4 Pro, especially when you play it back on a decent 4k TV. It looks so amazing. I'm looking forward to the comparison video with the mini 4 and air 3. Where's your pocket? 3 I thought your be one of the first showcasing it lol

So Darren, if you were to go out TODAY and buy a new Mini drone, would you get the Mini 3 Pro or the Mini 4 Pro? The Mini 4 has the newly imposed restrictions and I would have to request it to be declassified. The Mini 3 is compatible with DJI accessories such as the goggles, which DJI does not know if the Mini 4 will be compatible with or not. The Mini 4 has much more in terms of features and functionality. In short, which would you buy?

Darren, great video again👍👏I now have both the Mini 4 Pro and the Air 3 with the same screen controller. Because of the upgrade from the Mini 3 Pro to the awesome Mini 4 Pro I decided to sell my Mavic 3 Classic and bought the Air 3 in place. The Mavic 3 is great and maybe a little better because of the big Hasselblad camera but I simply could not resist the flexebility and the also great stacked sensor and tele lens of the Air 3 at the end. With both new drones I am ready for the next 2 years at least! Looking forward to see the comparison video. Greetings lfrom 🇳🇱
Very wise drone choices, for most who create vidio/photo/Hyperlapse and some Panoramas, you can NOT go wrong with these two. Reasonably future Proof, a plethora of features, and size/power to meet almost every scenario. I also have Mavic 3 Pro and, surprise, it gets the least flight time. Yes it has the best image, but its also a mixed set of cameras, with various tools to blend abd manage them, where Air 3 is a matched set of cameras that work together effortlessly because they were designed to do so. That Mini 4 Pro has the best tracking of any DJI CONSUMER drone, Waypoints that allow simulated dual operator mode... its all just the best of the best. You are in the catbird seat (whatever that is) lol!

A question for anyone who graduated from a 2 to the 4. I’ve maxed out everything on the 4 as far as flight and it still doesn’t feel as responsive or direct as the 2. The 4 seems sluggish to inputs at times and is definitely lagging on the map. The 4 sort of keeps you in a more defined flight….like I can’t spin and turn the same way I could in a 2. The 4 feels like it’s more limited. I understand this isn’t a stunt quad or performance drone so to speak but I don’t think the 4 is as satisfying to “fly”. Anyone else notice this? Any tips outside of maxing out the envelope in the settings?

Maybe it's just for my usecase but as working in a total mobile environment I need this storage space saving format back to continue my postprocessing on my Android tablet. I turn off the new return to home feature as I like the high and safe method from before. Maybe it is due to age, or that they don't look good on a wide monitor or TV, but I don't like vertical video nor look at many reels. The obstacle avoidance seems to me, to be better than even on the Mavic 3.
I lost my brand new mini 4 yesterday. It’s now lying on the bottom of a deep lake. They are incredible and incredibly easy to lose forever if you are not careful.

Hmm if you have the budget the mini 4 pro has a lot more features so it is worth it but the 3 pro is still great
