Thanks Matt!! This has been a hot topic, I’ve had many questions about right space flying

Hey Mattheww
Please look on my comment and answer on this. Is that You or that is spam ? I wrote on telegram and I’m not sure at that is You behind that account…
@@thedronedudedenmark hey, this is a scammer and not me I'm afraid. Sorry!
When learning to fly straight I would fly parking lots and use the painted lines to follow just looking at the screen.
Fly forward, backwards and side to side. It works good for muscle memory!
This is a great tip! Thanks for sharing!
As a pure novice I am learning so much from your content and appreciate the way that you deliver it in an easily understood fashion. Much appreciated 👍
I absolutely agree with you. As a novice for this new pastime of mine to get me out and about and thoroughly enjoy it, this was the (now only) channel I needed to go to for anything for a newbie drone related lessons that are easily understood. At 74 years old, that means a lot to me personally and this chap makes it a joy to listen and learn - and never be bored like on some channels.
Wow! I have to say, Matthew, that you do the absolute best videos. Your video editing, instruction, pacing is so good! You don’t wander off-topic and you share crucial tips and insights, including all the settings. This video, for example, has a large image of the controller on the right, perfectly mimicking what you are explaining on the left. Perfect! I guess you did a screen record, but how you kept the video of the controller perfectly still was stupendous! It allows the viewer to actually see what you are doing on the controller settings. Having the larger close-up view was perfect, compared to other CZcamsrs screen records. You deserve a million subscribers.😊
Thank you. I really appreciate such kind feedback. Makes all the hard work that goes into these videos worthwhile!
Hi, Matthew. A quick note of thanks for all you do to help us "newbies" learn proper Drone procedure, protocol and practices. Your videos are well done, accurate and easy to follow. Please keep them coming.
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching!
Great video. Exposure is always tricky. Having a fixed exposure where the light is constantly changing is not a good look. Some of your footage will be under exposed and some will be over exposed. Personally, I think auto exposure is the best option in these circumstances.
Excellent tips. Very helpful. I wish I had watched this video before I crashed my drone into a tree. All your videos are wonderful. Thanks for helping us newbie drone operators. Thanks Matthew!
Oh no! Sorry to hear that! Did the drone survive? Appreciate the kind feedback on this video.
@@TheDroneCreative I live in the USA. Thankfully I purchased the DJI insurance, and was able to get a replacement from DJI for a reasonable fee. I strongly recommend the DJI insurance. My poor drone after my crash had a broken arm.
excellent thank you
Thanks for watching!
I appreciate you man
So much useful information. Your channel is a gold mine. Keep up the good work.
Thankyou so much Matthew, I love your teaching technique, no lecture drivel just dive straight in! I will be watching your clips more than once, I am so enjoying the learning process thanks to your help.
Thank you for the kind feedback!
Absolutely. When flying. NOSE IN! If at all possible, face the same direction as your drone. Limits directional mishaps
Wow. Thanks a lot for incredibly linking the technical steps with pictures inside my brain! 🙏🏻 Really well done!
I also would suggest putting on the propeller guards when flying indoors or learning flying to close objects, it will always be that added peace of mind and won't affect the drone's performance at low speeds.
Excellent, thank you once again Mattheww. More Compass tips - yay!
Flying straight is actually quite difficult as a beginner, so your advice on practicing this and gaining muscle memory is very welcomed, thank you.
Thanks! A lot of my questions answered..... 👍
Great video Matt. Thank you.
As always, thanks for the clearly explained instruction, Matthew. Cheers from Wisconsin.
Thank you for explaining 💯 🙏
Thanks Mattheww. Excellent advice and video.
Absolutely Brilliant.
Solid recommendations. Coming up on one yr with the M3P. One thing I am trying to master now, while using all of these recommendations, is to fly inside a canopy going down a slope while maintaining the same smooth low altitude perspective, it's very tricky. An altitude cruise feature would be a great software update
Excellent, excellent video, Matthew! You are a wealth of information! Thanks very much!
Top notch information in this video!
Thanks Matt, another really good video about an aspect that is somewhat neglected by many who choose to focus more on the impressive automated shots.
Another really useful video from Matthew. I always learn something new watching his output👏
Glad it was helpful! Also appreciate the kind feedback - thanks for watching!
Excellent, thanks!
Excellent Mattheww. Thank you very much.
I love your video clips... always so helpful... thank you
One thing I do wish is that the beep warning on obstacle avoidance was still on even if the setting is off the beeping gets faster the closer you get which is useful in nonvisual situations, aside from it I tend to use the obstacle avoidance radar when using manual mode to see how close I am to obstacles it's not perfect but common sense tells me don't do anything crazy and be careful. The video tips are all good just got to remember it, might watch again and try the settings out while flying.
Really enjoyed that good tips
Hey 👋, Matthew I'm a air 2 pilot of 4 years, and had many drones, but now I have the mini 3 pro, Wow what a machine :). I would like to thank you, your delivery of info is great, you remind me of my important considerations one should have. I've learnt lots from you including have an obstacle avoidance turned off but screen warnings turned on brilliant thanks for highlighting keep up the good work more mini three pro tips needed I'm biased 😆
happy New Year Matthew. 🎉

Thank you - really appreciate that!
Thanks so much Matt, I’m watch heaps of these videos as I’m a new pilot. I’m sure you’ve saved me a lot of time and headaches… and you’ll probably save me a drone or two in time!
Glad to help! Thanks so much for watching!
Cool man! Learned a lot about the exposure lock and downward sensors being on 24/7. Good stuff, thanks!
Great tips! Always enjoy your drone tips.
Great advice, thanks
This video is super helpful.
Thanks Matthew.

Another great video Matt.
Thanks Matt for this very helpful video - for me you are one of the best DJI Mini 3 "teacher"!
Thank you - really appreciate that!
Spot on again.......
Great video, Thanks for the tip that it always starts out in Normal mode even when set to Cine. That explains a lot of the issues I was having. My old eyes never noticed that before!
Excellent, thank you for this very helpful video
Filled with great content, as usual. Wonderful channel!
Thanks for the tutorial.
Great tips
That's another very informative video Matthew, many thanks
Happy New Year, and looking forward to another year of handy hints👍
Very useful tips. Thank you
you forgot to mention turning off the sideways movement, this ensures the drone won't drift. Which makes it flying straight much easier. Great vid!
Yeah - this is a great point - thanks for sharing. The only niggle is it will still drift up and down with obstacle avoidance set to bypass and sideways movement turned off. So if you fly close to a branch it will duck and dive. This isn't a huge issue, but if you want a perfectly straight tracking shot for example it's just something to be aware off. Thanks for sharing - really appreciate it!
Thanks so much, I’ve learnt loads again… 👍🏻
Great tips! Good to know about the downward detection being "always on" even though obstacle avoidance is turned off
Hope the tips help! Thanks for watching!
This was extremely helpful. Thanks for this information.
Another great explanation video!
Thanks again
Thank you!
Very impressive to be able to speak so concisely over several minutes.
I love Your videos. I’m just starting adventure with drones and using yours tips 👍 Great job 👏
Thank's for sharing! I'm on vacations and refreshing all the concepts since I dont use my drone too much at home!
Excellent. Always look, forward to your posts.
Thanks for watching!
Very helpful and insightful, thank you 👍😎
Great video, I've just recently purchased a drone and really enjoying trying out some of your tips and tricks.

As always, you have made a very useful video. Thanks mate.
Great tips! Thank you very much.
My pleasure! Thank you!
Even when I KNOW all these tips, will I remember each one when flying in tight spaces? This is where it's Super good to review and practice. Nice presentation, too.
I am a newbie in this field of flying. I have the DJI PRO 4 Mini and so far I have logged in only a mere 1:35 min of air time. Mostly just trying to figure out what I can do with this. Your videos are great!! Thank you for making them so people like us can have somewhere to get our foundation built and get our confidence level high enough to be a pro flyer. Hopefully, I could make a cinematic movie! Need help though!!!
Matthew this is a great channel you have. Learned so much about the Mini 3 Pro!
great stuff as always
Thank you - really appreciate that!
Appreciate your tutorials immensely as I just recently purchased my dji mini 3 Pro and the tips are enormously helpful, Much appreciated!
Thanks!
Another great video, thanks for the information.
Thanks for watching - appreciate the kind feedback!
This guy rules! Thanks !
Thank you!
your reviews are very handy and well done, one suggestion for DJI ...a lot of people stay in restricted or no fly zones. please ask for 5m hight restriction in these areas so we could set up, test and learn ..
My first ever drone (dji mini 3 pro) arrived yesterday. Your videos have been essential in my understanding and decision to make the purchase.
Thanks 🤟🤟🤟🤜🤛
Glad my videos helped! Thanks for watching!
...Thank you, for this worthy Tipps... Greetings and blessings from South Germany
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Thanks again for another great video, flew up a river in a narrow canon and would have gone father if I had a few of this pointers… good info!
Thanks Matthew, again a great vid tutorial
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
That was a very informative video. I've flown my mini 3 pro for about 6 months/ I will definitely use most of the settings you suggested. Thanks again for the helpful tips.
Happy to help, thanks for watching!
Thank you very much 🙌
Happy to help! Thanks for watching!
Perfekt! THX 😎
informative videos as always Matthew, you've smashed it
Much appreciated! Thank you!
I've touched on this subject a few times over the years, as it's no doubt my favourite when it comes to drones. However, let's be honest, all 9 of these are a bunch of crap, and there are really only two tips - drop the hammer in Sports Mode and make sure DJI Refresh is activated.
I used to be religious about your second tip, but over time I've developed Batman style sense with experience and now fly tight spaces from far distances with only a tiny bit of adrenaline pumping, keeping my fingers crossed the signal won't go to the dark side. It's a video I'll do in the near future. 90K incoming Matthew!! That is awesome 🤜🏻🔥🤛🏻
I tried the 'drop the hammer' method once. Clipped a branch and sent the poor guy down the edge of a small cliff. It's now a studio prop 😂. You are right though, over time you can build up the muscle memory and senses to push the boundaries but looking directly down the line of sight the drone will be flying in tight spaces makes it so much easier. Looking forward to seeing you hit 100k this year too!!
@@TheDroneCreative see, that’s how you get studio props!! Yes, I agree, tip #2 is a very important one to start with. 100k, this year 🤘🏻
Phillip!😂 Love your videos and sense of humour . You taught me to be a good pilot three years ago when I got my first drone, the original Mini. I was already a capable photographer but learning from you I managed to get great video in the air even with such a limited platform. As a result I just kept flying the thing even when better products showed up. But now I’ve caved and await delivery of my second drone, The Mini 3 pro.
Mathew, Thanks. I always learn something new from your videos. Your pacing and lesson plans are excellent and won you a new subscriber. I can see how this drone will address many of the technical limitations of my Mini 1 but also allow me to do things easily that were quite difficult to master manually. I am most excited about the features on the new controller and you’ve been helping me prepare.
Thankyou
Just got my new dji mini 3 and your video helps a lot. Thank you
I have a question why isn't the Optical avoidance sensor doesn't work at night time.. my mavic pro work well at night
I am learning so much from your educational contents ✅️❣️thanks for the helpful tips▶️
Thank you for great tip
Happy to help! Thanks for watching!
Great video thanks I can’t wait to get my new DJI mini 3 pro I know it’s going to be difficult to fly at first but I’ll learn eventually
Very cool vid - super useful
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much!
You are a great teacher, thank you for these great tutorials, is new for us as we come from Shooting on the ground, lol, once again, thanks for the reply as well!
Another excellent set of tips. Thanks. Knew about the downward detection always on since the drone wont let me grab it when hovering.
