  • Jeb Blount, author of People Buy YOU and CEO of Sales Gravy (www.salesgravy.com) delivered this inspiring speech to the graduating class of the University of Phoenix.
    Jeb's message:
Don't waste your life waiting for "someday when."
The majority of people are out there in the world like dogs fighting over the same bone. These mediocre people spend their days protecting what they have. Fear, uncertainty, and doubt guide their decisions. They toil at jobs they hate and try to bring everyone else down around them. Mediocre people live in a state of scarcity, worrying about where they are instead of focusing on where they want to be.
Tell all of those people that they can keep that bone and set your sites on something bigger. It takes just as much energy to think small as it does thinking big.
Don't get comfortable. You've got to keep climbing. As you do you will gain clarity on what is truly possible in your life.
Life is just to short to do something you hate. So be bold. There is energy in boldness. Lean into fear, embrace risk and focus on what you want and what makes you happy, even if other people tell you that you are crazy or that it is impossible.
