One thing to keep in mind regarding the Echelon is it was desined with a lot of ergonomics for a wide range of shooters. A big feature that you mentioned but is huge in design is the slide stop/release. Its placement further back allows for its use one handed without readjusting your grip. If your going to make a platform for both men and women, this is huge. Combine that with 9 different frame/back strap options to custom fit a proper grip and you'll start seeing more people and law enforcement agencies switching to this.
Is it reliable enough for police to really switch to this
@@demarcus2648 Having worked on firearms for several decades and am a competitive shooter, I can say without a doubt the pistol is reliable. To be honest there aren't many out there that aren't reliable. Finiky ones include the 1911 and many departments allow the use of them as front line duty pistols.

I am an Echelon owner myself. I am seriously impressed with it. Crazy feature set, excellent ergonomics, accuracy, and reliability. Have already sold my Glocks. At some point, Glock is going to have to make actual improvements is they want to keep pace.

I really enjoy the echelon. Its my new favorite range gun, making my M&P 2.0 hurt for attention. I was telling a friend of mine that I didnt like glocks but i really liked my echelon and it just seemed to point better and i wished my M&P pistols felt that way. He looked at my Echelon then brought out his glock and said shoot that and does that feel like anything youve shot lately. SO i guess i gotta add a glock to the collection at some time.

My Canik TP9SFX has a great stock trigger.
Whatever you shoot well with go with it. Great shooting & keep training.
When that pistol comes up, you should be on the wall & squeezing off that 1st round as soon as you see your window.
I'm still practicing that one. Harder done than said.
I finally got my G19X fined tuned.
I put a complete Dagger SW4 Upper on it, the HE407c x2 green 2moa, Master Trigger Spring Kit, OW Precision TAC Trigger w/ bar, polished everything to do with the trigger, plunger safety, etc. (Very short to wall 2.5 to 2.8lb pull) w/ the tan TLR-1HL
A 15lb recoil spring because I was having failure to eject issues. Now she throws way out at 4 O'clock position.
The Dagger Upper fits tight with no wiggle or play between the upper & lower. (It has a 1911 feel, not grip, just a very tight upper & Lower fitment)
My dream gun is the Staccato CS.

Just purchased the Echelon. Shot the Prodigy also, but for half the price point, you’re getting a very good gun. It’s probably gonna replace my G19 as my EDC. Only thing is, I don’t trick out my guns. This will be the first one that I’m gonna put a dot on.
You find a holster you like for the Echelon?
@@colby78hurley. Yes, and no. Got one from We The People, but looks like I’m going to have to spend some coin, and purchase a couple from Safari Land. Kinda uncomfortable carrying inside the waistband.

I have an Echelon also. I love it but I love my 19x also. Both great guns. Can’t go wrong with either. Where did you find the holster for the Echelon? I can’t find one.
Out of the box Echelon, because I didn’t have to spend any money on sites, springs, triggers and the like which I have to do with Glock. On average I drop 200+ to get perfection on a Glock. Echelon already has mag wells available, I got mine from Patriot CNC.

B/W the two my G45 MOS Gunsite model or my Echelon, I’m going with my Glock. It just handles recoil slightly better for me. I like everything else better with the Echelon

I know how you feel about M&Ps, Chris, but one of these days I hope you get to try the M2.0 with an Apex trigger. In terms of accuracy, speed, recoil, grip texture, but not the grip angle, etc... I'd say it's the closest to a Glock performance-wise. I carry Glocks, by the way. My entire EDC rotation are all Glocks. I'm just being unbiased and sayin. The M&P Compact (3.6") is the one I'm talking about.

The more you shoot it, the more you like it. I like almost everything about the echelon. The only issue I have is the back plate set up. I don’t like that it’s hard to tell which is large and which is small and I don’t like how you have to put your finger inside the mag well to slide it off

Chris I just purchased the Springfield echelon. Giving it a shot but I have my MR 920 shadow system with the ramjet comp. The Springfield is definitely a keeper. We'll see if this gonna be my new EDC.

I'm not really a glock guy cause everyone I know has a glock so I went smith and I love my echelon and I said once you pit that Chris TV flare on it you would be impressed and like it

Good video brutha. I own the Echelon and I would go as far to compare it more so to the M&P 2.0. The grips are very similar and it shoots just as smooth as a 2.0. The Echelon is a very easy gun to shoot well. You cussing at me picking the Echelon over the Prodigy. BLASPHEMY!!!!

Nice. My carry is an M&P 2.0. Always loved the ergonomics. Also always loved its reliability, though a lot of Glock guys are still in denial that the rest of the industry has caught up and/surpassed Glock. Still, I love that we are still seeing more innovation. The Echelon is the first pistol as of late that I am considering trying out for a new carry pistol.
