    I love your in depth analysis and honesty. I don’t hate my looks bad enough to go through surgical procedures. I am in my 50’s , and accept my looks and age. It is what it is , however , that said , my lips were always paper thin. I did hate them. I felt almost like it gave me a no teeth look. It really bugged me , so I add some filler and go to a fabulous med spa With medical professionals. They look beautiful and natural and I feel like I now show my teeth and look more “ normal “. I won’t ever look back. I have used a tiny Botox in my forehead here and there and I do micro needling. When I am with my daughters, people think I am their sister , ditto for my son and unlike j lo , I had my kids younger, so my oldest is almost 30. I eat right, and work out on the daily and always have. I take care of my skin. We aren’t all gonna be models. My nose is too big in my opinion, but that is life. Whatever. I don’t get all these massive surgical procedures for pure vanity. Happy I don’t! I have close people that do and while that is ok, it’s a rabbit hole. One thing leads to the next and now some don’t look normal .. I appreciate this drs honesty. Many lie.

    i met with dr spiegel who you mention, met with him a few years ago. he seemed very confident, something didnt feel right. while i cant go into detail i have found some information on why many might want to look elsewhere. one should read through his patient forms very carefully and question everything as they should with any surgeon also dont make a decision for at least 7 days

    Hi Dr Gary! I have a question regarding my lip lift. I have a nice result with minimal tooth show which I didn't have at all before.. I was thinking of getting filler in my nose to rise the tip which is a bit too droopy. I'm wondering if I get it done will it change the proportion of my filtrum and I'd loose the little tooth show I have? I heard getting a rhinoplasty to lift the tip of the nose pushes the upper lip down so I'm wondering it it's true with filler as well

  • @ninetschka7594
    @ninetschka7594 Před 2 lety +5

    I had submental lipo one month before the lip lift and I suspect this combination to take part in the responsibility that I have still swelling in my nose (not lips!) at 4 months out. Maybe in patients that had a rhinoplasty before and nose filler these two surgeries should not be combined as this messes with the lymphatic drainage. But it’s only an assumption.
    Maybe my surgeon did something else wrong. Hopefully not.
    Or maybe it will just resolve within the next couple of months. That’s what I put all my hope in.

    What about a lip lift and a nasal tip surgery, rather than a full rhinoplasty? I only want to make my nasal tip a smaller version of itself, no changes to the rotation, length or general shape.
    I am worried about how much stress the close scars will be under and if the nostrils will be distorted.

  • @ranwei561

    Dr. Gary, I have a question regarding this lip lift, if I need to do rhinoplasty but in an asian way, which means not to remove extra bone structure but adding some (as asian, we usually don't develop very good nose bone structure), in this case, if I also need a lip lift, will the lip lift procedure weight/ drag down my new nose? (not sure if I explain it clearly).

  • @TLOH7
    @TLOH7 Před 2 lety +3

    Chances are that the lip lift will alter your nose's nostrils, actually, that always happens, even if it's minimal (minimal is rare). Now, imagine getting you dream nose job from top to bottom and then a lip lift procedure changes it. That would be very disappointing. In my opinion, the ideal way is to perform both procedures at the same time to manipulaye and create an overall balanced result *here and there* according to what the patient desires, especially if the patient is looking to improve his/her nostrils size and shape. But it takes next level skills to do.

    Do you perform philtropexys? I've only found one doctor in the US that does this procedure for people who cant commit to a full on lip lift. Im at 15mm with a flat philtrum and I'd honestly only want 3mm difference and deeper grooves.
