      I think this same thing, it is odd. The Drs I go to all appear to be very well maintained, albeit in a natural way. I kind of see the Dr and their staff as walking billboards for the Drs work. I once went to a Dr who tried to talk me into doing a bunch of undereye filler in my mid 20s and it just sounded like way too much. His receptionist was so overdone, I ran the hell out of there and never looked back. 😂

      It's essential to prioritize the expertise and experience of the injector over the cost alone. The outcomes of injectable treatments can vary significantly based on the injector's skill and understanding of facial anatomy. While I understand that cost are important considerations, ensuring that you're in the hands of someone who aligns with your aesthetic goals and has a proven track record of achieving desired results should be paramount. Prices can range based on who you see and what area of the country you live in. But again who you go to matters than what it cost.

    • @drkopelman
      @drkopelman  Před 4 měsíci +2

      Benefits of Sculptra can last between 1-2 years. I’m not particularly worried about any long term side effects because Sculptra works by stimulating your own body to increase collagen production in the area it is injected and then your own body over time will naturally break it down. And in case you didn’t realize Sculptra is another type of cosmetic injection that would be separate from hyaluronic fillers.

    Hi Dr Kopelman. I have been getting Sculptra for the past 3 years and have been getting 2 vials of maintenance annually after initially getting 7 vials over a 6 month period. I'm 59 years old with a narrow oval face. I have been happy with the results but I have developed a heavy droopy right eye lid 2 months post my last maintenance vials and was wondering if this is connected to migration from the temple area on my right side. I always do the 555 massage technique and would like to know if Sculptra could be the reason because my injector told me this isn't possible. I'm now dealing with heavy dense tissue touching my lash line and am worried I may have to have it surgically corrected. My left eye is normal. I would appreciate your opinion. Many thanks from Australia

    How about PRF EZ Gel injections for volume loss versus Sculptra? Thank you.

    • @drkopelman
      @drkopelman  Před 2 měsíci +4

      PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) EZ Gel and Sculptra are both used for addressing volume loss, but they work quite differently. PRF EZ Gel is a natural filler made from your own blood, concentrating healing factors to rejuvenate and add volume, great for a more natural, subtle enhancement. Sculptra, on the other hand, is a synthetic filler that stimulates your body's collagen production for a more gradual and lasting volume increase. I recommend to patients though if they are thinking about the 2 options to lean towards Sculptra as I believe it is the safer option.

      Sculptra is typically used to address volume loss, so if there's no hollowness in your temples, that might be why you were advised against it. However, it can also be used preventatively in younger patients to maintain facial volume and structure before significant aging signs appear.

    There is a video by another surgeon who says the previous Sculptra use can make facelifts harder and that you can possibly never look like you did. I had a facelift 6 months ago. I still have some swelling still under my right eye and cheek. I’ve gotten it only in the places you said and didn’t have any for 2 1/2 years before surgery. Can you comment on this? • @drkopelman
      @drkopelman  Před 4 měsíci +3

      I never inject Sculptra under the eyelid which ? may account for the chronic eyelid swelling. The tissue is too thin for injections of Sculptra.
      In regard to facelifting following Sculptra it is true that performing a facelift may be more difficult because tiny concentrated nodules from the Sculptra injections may blur the anatomic planes of dissection.The procedure can be performed but the surgeon should be aware that it may be more challenging.

    When the price becomes reasonable I will probably do this in my bootie

      Sculptra can certainly be used for the toosh. But my expertise is the face when it comes to facial fillers.

    I hate it ! My face is fat and I have more jowls. I can see clumps of it by my under eyes . Face is numb one side is drooping. He told me not to massage it . I look 10 years older . It’s been over a year and I only look worse ! 55 years old looked great before ! He did too superficially.

      You need to go to someone that is more experienced and know how to deal with complications. It just sounds like he wasn’t experienced injecting the sculptra. And you’re not supposed to inject it under the eyes.

    If a woman knows what plastic surgery doing against her buddy, she prefer sculptra! If the woman’s had more self love, they would stop’s making plastic surgery!

      I would trust a properly done facelift over Sculptra.

    I don’t see a difference in those photos. One is just more saturated. Maybe she can get more red skin with retinol. The irritation will look the same. 😊 Sorry. She needs a facelift before she gets too bad.

      Her face is more square and droopy before vs more triangluar and lifted in the after photo. The difference is there and she looks better in the after and doesn’t need a facelift.
