Caterall is worse than Campbell and his best win is an obviously fixed fight against a 41 year old. You wouldn’t put money on Jose Ramirez even though the odds would be great. Josh Taylor can’t even make the weight. Teo lost to Kambosos, and arguably Ortiz and Sandor Martin. Matias stops all of the “4 kings”.

I get what paulie is saying. It would be hard to write him off for losing to two of the best fighters in the world. Instead, it is rather easy to write him off for not working like a world class fighter. Of all the "young stars" tossed into that group together, he's the only one not obviously improving in the ring. On top of that, the camps he has left question his work ethic and willingness to receive direction from top trainers. He's the only one sought after for the eyeballs of his social media following rather than his skills and potential in the ring. World class boxers work on their craft. Ryan Garcia is fighting world class boxers right now because he can make promoters money.
If Ryan’s only losses are to tank and Haney he can still be a top 10 fighter … both those guys are undefeated and ranked #1 in their division.

When speaking about Ryans mental health issues they aren't talking about 'depression' which is what Paulie suggests. They are speaking about his behaviour showing symptoms of major personality disorders like Bipolar which is different. I do agree with him though that it can become difficult to differentiate where someone has a disorder and when they are just acting like a dick and how people should respond to their actions. I also agree with Chris that mental health issues, no matter what they are can not be used as an excuse. You are either at the level or you are not.

As i’m watching this like 10 minutes in, Paulie is actually wrong with some of the statements he’s saying like first he’s saying that ryan came from money which I don’t think he did, and second of all calling him a spoiled idiot and saying that he used mental health to pull out of fights is a little un true. The only fight he pulled out of due to mental health was javier fortuna in which he later circled back to that fight and fought him later down the line, and the only other fight he pulled out of was jojo diaz but that was because he had an injured hand/wrist and needed surgery, so I think paulie got some of his facts wrong.

You guys are completely going in the wrong direction, first of all what Ryan and Tank did was such a gift to the world. We had no idea what we were about to witness but we knew it was something special. Not a boxing fan in this world wanted to miss this and the stars of movies and boxing showed up. As they entered the ring I looked into the crowd, and you could see the excitement and the nervous energy in the people's eyes but most of all you could see how proud they were of these two men. They created a magnificent and spectacular event that made them millionaires. Then Tank performs a beautiful display of boxing, that deserves praise just as he will praise Ryan for making this happen. You guys may not be pleased with the results, but you are amazed of the brilliance that you just witnessed. Let's face it you and most fighters can only dream of a night like this and that's why you are so down on Ryan. He thinks he can do it again which is very unlikely, but we will soon find out!

My take on Ryan is his style looks fantastic against a certain level of fighter but as soon as he steps up to the true elite level he just hasn't got the boxing ability to compete with master boxers. Tank could see everything Ryan was attempting and read his every move. Haney will be exactly the same because when Ryan's initial fireworks and flashy punches get taken away he will be picked apart at that same level again.
