Pauly I think its incorrect to say that casual boxing fans are not intelligent. There are a lot.of geeks that love boxing. They just don't have any boxing IQ. And frankly if every casual fan lost interest in boxing there would be very few fans. As an ex boxer I have found the only people that can discuss boxing intellectually are those that have actually been involved in the sport. The best example of this is the non boxer color commentators. Larry Merchant and Howard Cosell called boxing for years and still didnt know shit. Without you guys they would have nothing to say during a fight. And even what they do say is dumb.....they will dwell on the most ridiculous minutae because its one of the very few things they have learned.
The hard-core fans are the real casuals especially fans of men and not fans of the sport..especially race baiters

Chris and Paulie may not have become elite fighters but they were world champs and tough and fought the best in their time. But as boxing analysts, these guys are smart and very articulate.

Everyone who follows boxing knows that Devin Haney left America as a teenager to go and live in Mexico so that he can turn pro early and get those developmental fights early on.
Devin owes a huge part of his early boxing development to Mexico and this is him paying homage and at the same time dissing Ryan by saying he is more Mexican than Ryan because he actually lived in Mexico for some years and has performed in front of Mexican crowds in Mexican arenas unlike Ryan.

I've been a boxing fan for over 45yrs and these side shows, Tyson vs Paul is a scam. These fans today have no clue how good boxing was in the 80s and 90s . They are all CZcams watchers. I can put into words how the difference of live fights back then and now are. I got into it with one guy on social media who said knockouts don't sell fights. That's how pathetic they are.
