Lorry Hill has a mental instability. She has body dysmorphia. There was absolutely NOTHING wrong with her nose to begin with. Nonetheless, now she has lopsided nose holes and her face moves unnaturally now and it's not CUTE...😂

I know what Lorry is talking about when it comes to the needle to numb around the eye area. I had to have blepharitis nodules removed from the margins of my eyes twice. The numbing injections were so painful!
thank you doctor for this And thank you to Lorey..Great content Lorry.. your eyes look great! I had upper and lower bleph back in January 2007.. I was in my early '40s at the time and wow it took back 10 years.. however they did remove the fat pads from my lower eyelids and I did have that hollowing look which I could not stand. I am definitely overdue for having this procedure done again at 60 years old now and will be searching for a surgeon for this procedure and hoping that I can also do local instead of general.
The one tip that I have for anybody reading the comments and considering this procedure is instead of ice packs what the doctor had sent me home with and had me do myself back in 2007 was frozen peas inside of surgical gloves tied off like a balloon.. it worked very well.
Where has this video been I just saw it. I follow Lorrie and Im impressed with this doctor's ethically sound and client focused statements esp the ice bag statement wow so careful!! He's a great doc Im going to follow him ! and may even go see him someday maybe maybe 😂

Interesting that you mention that insurance usually denies this even when the surgery center says that they will. I have a consultation with an Oculoplastic surgeon and they made it seem like insurance usually covers. I was referred by my eye doctor....I will consult a few different surgeons before selecting.
For a blepharoplasty it is very uncommon as that is usually done for cosmetic purposes. Ptosis though is sometimes covered but your oculoplastic surgeon will have to show the insurance company that you have muscle weakness of your upper eyelid
What is the pain relieving medication you give prior is it Demerol?

Thank you Dr. It was informative, but what can we do to minimize the scaring on the upper eyelid? And is there a special massage for it ?
To answer your question. There is no special message that will help decrease scarring on the upper eyelid. You might benefit from 5-fluorouracil for scars it doesn't cause tissue atrophy like steroid injections but you will need to see a competent physician who can help you further. Hope this helps!
Hi doctor. The tip my eyelid doesnt touch my eyeball. Is this ok? This is my second day. It looked my eyelid is flipped out. Where can i send a picture if this one is okay or is this a case gone wrong. Hopefully not.

If you have prolapsed fat which is causing you to have baggy eyelids then you will probably need a lower eyelid blepharoplasty. Laser resurfacing only addresses lower eyelid skin surface abnormalities-wrinkles, folds and dyspigmentation.
Mixing bicarbonate? Is that sterile bicarbonate or wouldn’t this risk infection?

Erbium laser is my favorite to use under the eyelids. CO2 Fraxel can also be used.

My surgeon wants to make a cut on the outside of my lower eye lid instead of the inside. What’s the chances my eyes will droop?
The chances of eyelid retraction increase significantly with an external incision.The reason is that the orbicularis muscle is violated beneath the skin. If the surgeon just does a "skin pinch" there is a lower probability that a complication will occur. Complications can also occur if the surgeon is too aggressive in removing too much skin.They need to be conservative.
I developed a lump under my eye after lower lid blepharoplasty. The doctor wants to do another procedure to remove it and says it’s relatively simple and will only take maybe 30 minutes. Do I have to worry about him damaging any of the eye muscles if I agree to the surgery?
This sounds like a very reasonable approach. The risk is small.I wouldn’t worry about damaging any eye muscles
I feel eyelid function has been impacted. Her eyes seem to close involuntarily and looks like she has to make an effort to open them.
What medicine do you use for pain relieving?
Prior to surgery
If I am performing upper eyelid blepharoplasties under local anesthesia I prescribe 1000mg Tylenol (acetoaminophen) one hour prior to the procedure combined with 10 mg of Valium(diazepam).If you are having upper and lower eyelid surgery under anesthesia then no preoperative medication is given
@@drkopelman so at the time is surgery they’re just having the Tylenol and then the local anesthetic and then maybe a mild sedative oral
What is the reason that pre-existing dry eye may worsen after upper eyelid surgery and can it be mitigated by the surgeon?
Long lashes change the air flow around the eyeball which can translate into dry eyes
Can threads work to tighten skin as an alternative to surgery?
PDO threads will tighten your skin/face but it is only temporary
It really is not a substitute for a facelift and has some significant risks
I am not a fan but every few years they keep bringing them back
