is very worrying to me how much dermatologists and estheticians here on CZcams tend to miss informations, contradict what someone else said or literaly be ignorant about things outside their field. Thank you a lot for this video, it was very informational
Excellent clarifications, so important for people like me, seeking to have this done
Thank you Dr. Kopelman. You are saving a lot of people from injuries due to misinformation. I couldn’t believe when she recommended laser, micro needling and retinA for the eyelids. I accidentally got retinA in my eye once and it was so extremely painful.
I truly appreciate you!!
Please keep doing these videos. Like I said you are helping a lot of people from doing the wrong thing due to her recommendations.
Thank you for the inspiration and follow! I will keep it up.
Thank you so much for this video! 💜
Very helpful information from
Dr.Kopelman. Plenty of horror stories out there about thread lifts.
I had a blepharoplasty but also did lasers to finish tightening. The blepharoplasty itself still left a lot of skin. The lasers do tighten skin a lot. I used Pico Way Resolve and tried Co2 but Resolve gave better results. They put in eyelid shields so eyeball isn’t affected.
I do not watch her channel for this and other reasons. There are so many more intelligent and thorough practitioners who do wonderful informative videos on the same subjects.
All of this is very scary. When you go to a doctor you are putting good faith into his/her advice. I can see from this video how some serious things can occur by a mistreatment. I am due for eye lid lift in October because my vision is impaired. I am praying my surgeon knows what he is doing. Thank you Dr. Kopelman for going out on a limb to inform us. Dr. Dray seems believable but I can see where her information is not only erroneous but dangerous.
Jenny I am glad that my videos are helpful clarifying medical treatments. If there are other videos about eyelid surgery or other cosmetic procedures that you would like to see, kindly let me know and please subscribe to my channel!
Hello Dr Kopelman, did Dr Dray reach out to you to clarify any of the comments?
Dr Dray"s coverage of this topic would have been better served if she actually invited a surgeon to provide a layer of expertise.
Thanks for your commentary. I have very heavy upper eyelids and am looking for solutions. I am not a medical person. So all this information is new to me. I certainly don't want to damage my eyes but the heaviness bothers me everyday.
Hopefully I can find a safe solution.
I had one upper and lower easy peasy I was wearing makeup after 3 days. The lower made a huge difference loved it. Forget the thread lift! OMG! Get the surgery what’s the big deal? Threads don’t last.
I’ve watched a few of Dr. Dray videos. Now, I’m wondering what other information are false. I just took her word, as I’m sure many of us have. Thank you, Dr. Kopleman.
Glad I could help dispel false medical claims
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Hi Dr how much brow left and eye lid surgery upper and lower?
Just had blepharoplasty done and can say don’t waste your time on anything else! Even that stupid Plasma pen bruised me more than this mild op!! I have eyes of a Bambi now - can see it already ❤ Also I’ll be using retinol creams once I recover fully -especially on the brow bone to prevent the sag of the lid again
I’m glad my videos on blepharoplasty and eyelid surgery were helpful to you!
My top eye lids also getting heavy im 55 so do ned i wish there was some small kind of surgery
Surgeons indeed are in different level.
I totally agree with the demalogest
I haven’t seen a video on lower blepharoplasty. I had a consult but the surgeon is suggesting doing transcutaneous to remove the fat and do skin pinch. Is there any issue compared to Transconjunctival?
This should give your more insight into lower eyelid surgery. A video a made 2 years ago.

Hey doc! Loving your videos. I’m 29 and got an upper blephoplastry today. I wish I knew about the Botox brow lift and would’ve tried that first. Do you know how long after eyelid lift my eyes will be able to shut fully without quivering or tightness?
You should have a pretty quick turn around within a couple of days swelling should go down. And expect that true recovery can take 2-3 months for the eyelid scar to heal and then be minimally noticeable. And then with even more time sometimes a year you shouldn’t really notice any signs that you had a blepharoplasty.
Thanks doctor! 😊
Oh my god how she got licenses to do surgery thank you so much for your information
She doesnt do surgery she's a dermatologist
Several doctors recommend radiofrequency for dry eyes. The studies on it show monkey show no bad effects from radiofrequency though rabbits suffered from cataracts. Differences in anatomy affect how energy disperses. So I don't know if you are right about the radiofrequency claim.
Treatment of dry eyes(in humans ) is not ideally treated with radiofrequency. If you have dry eyes there are several drugs and tear drops which will frequently improve your symptoms.
Thank you Dr. Joe for checking this woman that keeps blabbering away without understanding these procedures as she reads a script. She definitely does not know or understand what ptosis is. I wonder where she went to school and how she managed to pass the tests.
Yes my eye bags do bother me but if only some surgery for only eye bags under eye that’s all
Can you recommend a good surgeon like you in Los Angeles?
I’m not a Dr but can recommend a very good surgeon , do your own research of course but he is an excellent cosmetic surgeon. His name Dr Stephen Bresnick .
Dr Kappel Newport Beach-check or her videos very knowledgeable
What is an alternative to prevent hyperpigmentation since you don't recommend retinol or hydroquinone?
Cyspera is an effective and safe option!
@@drkopelman Great! Thank you for the suggestion🙂
$150 - $200 cyspera cream for melasma
@@grammybear4 yeah its pricey unfortunately
I'm having an upper and lower Blepharoplasty in the end of June...along with an endoscopic brow life...AND ptosis correction. I have psoriatic arthritis (autoimmune), so wondering if it's ok to have ptosis correction simultaneously with blepharoplasty. My plastic surgeon said it's fine and probably better to do it all at once because I have to time the procedure with my medication. Any thoughts or experience with that?
It is common knowledge that surgeons also commit many faults. they do a lot of damage that is kept secret in the operating room. Therefore, he himself does not know everything. Unfortunately, there are people who blindly believe everything a medical professional says. We must research more, and think before accepting everything we are told. Not all doctors are the same. It's good to be careful before letting anyone do procedures on you.
My eyes are that way droopy . I doubt very much Social Security will ever pay for this .
The other thing I have, where my left side of face is wrinkled and the right side isn't.
I believe I have a mini stroke and I am guessing it's what happened. I am not sure what would fix it .
Thank you for the clarifications Dr. Some CZcams Drs are on such fast-track lives recording and editing videos on a speed of light that they can't even choose the most appriopiate medical wording when they talk. Some just need to drop something out of their chaotic life and create content with more care and precaution. And be more extra careful when creating content in which they are not specialised in.
And Dr. Dray said-, nothing you idiots
Dr. Dray's dead, she's locked in my basement.
-Joel Kopelman probably.
Sorry for the wrogh spelling
I do threads in my face and they work! I have done hundreds of them in my cheeks, my jawline, my brows that lift my brows and lately my eyelids. They are safe, never had any scaring, sometimes a small amount of bruising, never infection if you use sterile conditions. They increase collegen and elastin that lifts my skin and reduces wrinkles. So doc, know u don’t want to lose any patients and all that money that you greedy drs are after. Tell the truth! The cat is out of the bag. Threads are here to stay!!!!!
That's why you had to have hundreds of them. Because they work so well and they keep taking your money for repeat business. You are putting a foreign object in your face that keeps building scar tissue, thickening and changing the matrix of your skin
Thank you for this! Ive undergone the procedures mentioned, and can attest that your advise is 100% factual. I have since unsubcribed to dangerous dr drey!
She sounds like a surfer dude
Ive seen ladies with one eye smaller thn the other one
I love my dermatologist, but I find this video shocking. All I can say is: stay in your lane and let the skilled surgeons do the talking. Can't imagine my derm spewing advice regarding treatment for which she has no training.
Why is a dermatologist even discussing such a procedure who does not perform surgery. In fact, I’m not even aware of her practicing dermatology day to day. From what I can tell she primarily goes to stores like Costco and checks product ingredients. Very disappointed in her.
Botox works for me 6 months long.
Damn your left eyebrow...
I’ve looked at Dr Dray u-tube for dark marks treatment for my face and she did not have the right information / knowledge for darker skin people. She’s a dermatologist and she’s not accurate with the basics 😮so when I saw her on this channel I thought OH No. 😮
I am glad I can help dispel inaccurate medical information! Thank you for following me Dena!
With all due respect Dr Kopelman, I think that you misinterpreted what Dr Dray was saying. At no point she recommended threadlift, retinoids, hydroquinone, or ultherapy to be applied to the eyelids. Just like botox, she mentioned those treatments in the context of addressing the look of hooded eyelids, but did not personally recommend them nor stated that they should be applied to the eyelids.
She was misleading you to believe they were options, She should have clarified because they are dangerous around the eyes
Her eyebrows are driving me nuts. lol
🤣 glad it's not just me.
Wow, Dr. Dray needs to stay in her lane and get better informed on skin treatments. I hope she sees this.
My goal is to dispel misinformation pertaining to cosmetic and plastic surgery.
You can’t use medical grade microneedling anywhere close in the peri orbital region, and I would say never use ultherapy and especially radio frequency. In my opinion, fat volume loss from RF usage will speed up your urgency for needing a blepharoplasty, and no one ( reputable) will use any lasers close to your eyes…..
@@sherrygalloway4295 They put in eye contact shields to protect the eyes from the laser.
Thank you so much.
Microneedling can be used for the area below eyebrows, I've been doing this and it works great
How can one trust her advice when she gives advice about every medical subject under the sun without even practicing in her field. Is there anything she doesn't know? based on her videos apparently no.
There’s no one online that I trust more than Dr. Dray. She is an MD PhD. And she doesn’t give advice about every subject under the sun. She is a practicing board-certified dermatologist in Houston and her Videos feature how things affect the skin. Dismiss her if you like, but you’ll be missing out on a lot.
@@maureengreen617She is not even practicing. She had so many people hoodwinked
@@maureengreen617😂😂😂she doesn't practice
I was under the impression Dr Dray was just a dsrmatologist....
Also she reads...her videos are not spontaneous
She doesn’t know what she’s talking about. She has other videos where she’s just misinformed about what she’s talking about. Her video about NMN is really misleading. I think she can’t be trusted.
She’s a FRAUD-she’s not even practicing & she’s spouting info like she’s doing these procedures on the daily 😱
I’m at quite disappointed by DrDray about the info she gave here! She’s normally not wrong but this is insane to recommend(RF) microneedling - you’ll be in agony !!! Not worth it AT ALL
She thinks she knows a lot but she doesn’t.
Beginning to wonder if she is a Doctor at all. I will not be watching anymore of her videos.
I've often wondered the same! She never wears anything w a Dr name or a business.
She’s not even practicing; she has everyone following her hoodwinked. She’s pretty fraudulent
