Steve Martin was the first anyone that was someone I ever saw in person. In fact, I saw him in Kansas City Missouri then saw him again the next week in Columbia Missouri. Now I was very impressed. I saw Cher a few years later and she looked way better than Steve Martin. Im still very impressed with Steve. I love his humor.

Truthfully? Steve Martin is a better actor when he's not being out-ther slapstick funny. His performance in "Pennies from Heaven" haunts me to this day. And his music explodes the idea that the banjo is a silly instrument. He may not be the innovator that Bela Fleck is, but he's a terrific banjo player. As for Christian Cooper, I only wish that this remarkable man had not had to go through what he did for us to know him. What a lovely human being.

I'm still trying to find his comedy specials from NBC. They used to be on Pluto TV about 5 years ago and it was hilarious all six of them. They did finally release it on a DVD set so I guess that's the only way to get them.
