Martin Short is the only person that makes me laugh out loud when I’m alone, just watching him.
I love that they’re doing this together. They are so close, when Marty found out his wife Nancy had very little time left his first call was to Steve and his wife.
Actually I think they were in public, some dinner or something? Steve started to cry, and since Nancy had asked that no one else be told (she was pretty damn incredible too, such a horrible loss), Marty said when asked that they were "just remembering John Candy" , who had been gone for something like 15 years. I don't want to misquote the rest, but highly recommend Martin's memoir, and get the audio book. Very funny, but he also is really wise about dealing with loss. He's helped me more than anyone in that area. A truly lovely human being, both of these guys really are.
Totally agree, 'I must say.' (Ed Grimley) 🙂
Martin Short is a comedic genius.
What was the first thing you saw him do? That one season of SNL, '84-'85 i think was the first time i saw Martin Short. I had fallen asleep on a friend's couch, woke up to find Ed Grimley talking about Pat Sajak (sp?), and thought I was just having the weirdest dream. :0) I would LOVE to see that entire season again, so much talent in one place.
Martin you „are“😌✨the best version of yourself. You are a beautiful human being✨
It is so beautiful to witness the friendship of you two✨
Two guys who never generate negative press. Just funny, nice guys.
Obviously you did not read Short's criticism of those who voted for President Trump. It makes him look like a show business simpleton.
They are truly good people. Both with great marriages too.
It would be so great if people were able to leave politics out of it - including the guy interviewing them!
what do u mean funny? Funny how? Like they amuse you?
@@wolverineiscool7161 lmao love it
Martin and Steve in ‘Father of the Bride’ ♥️ I could watch that film a million times.
Such a perfect pairing. These two are hilarious together.
The Netflix special is simply sublime
"Can you give me something to remember you by?"
*"H E P A T I T I S W A S N ' T*
*E N O U G H ? ! ? !"*
lmao
My three favorite celebrity friendships.
1. Bob Newhart and Don Rickles.
2. Carol Burnett and Julie Andrews.
3. Steve Martin and Martin Short.
I can't stop watching every video with these delightful gents, they're so fun and funny! I probably owe them all the money i saved on therapy. :0)
I love Steve Martin Short!
That thumbnail is absolutely spot on. Steve’s fake ennui and Marty’s faux foppishness have never been expressed more eloquently. Kudos to whoever picked it.
I was waitimg tables in Union Square NYC in 88 , I was a kid working my way through Columbia University.Run into a lot of celebrities, had a table of Martin Short, Bernadette Peters and Neil Simon.Martin was all laughs and smiles, great energy.Would remember him even if he was not famous.Hes right there with
Gene Hackman and Bill Murry as all time favs.Ended up working with Gene 10 years later as a writer
@Meadow Pinkelle Its all your pruduct.Your product has its own life.A great story or screenplay will open doors and and get you where you are suppose to be.I started out with a woman who worked out of her house booking magic acts. But she got in back of me and was determined.Ended up walking red carpets as the next Oliver Stone.Didnt happen but it was a helluva adventure for three years.Did a lot of work for the studios.Never won the Oscar.I should of.But that's another story. The morale of this, live your dreams or die trying.
S. Martin and Martin S. The perfect bookends.
Sometimes Martin Short is SOOO NOT funny, and then suddenly I'm on the floor crying and can't catch my breath. Love that.
"It's just like being a pilot… Why do you have to check those buttons every time? It's what you do."
Pitti-Sing gc
"Your comedy is so effortless. Imagine how much funnier you'd be if you put a little effort into it!"
It's nice seeing them be so genuine with each other at the end. I love the way they joke but they never let their guard down like that.
Legends!
Two class act gentlemen. Great actors! :)
Much younger people COULD enjoy this stage show, however for those of us who remember their climb, their small screen & box office power, this is a chance to see them as veteran showmen. It's also a time for those in the audience of a particular age to grasp a piece of our own climb into the "Elders" position of life.
They really are a large part of the visual entertainment tapestry of our lives.
This video alone is timeless.
Fun is so underrated! This is what we need more than ever. Love these guys! So sorry to hear about Martin’s loss. They say,” Laughter is the best medicine.” Hope they never stop making us laugh! Thanks for giving them the stage.
I love these two and they are great together period. They have Style they just have what it takes that the younger comedians don't
Long live Marty and Steve❤❤
I love Martin Short!
Two joyous men...
I just love the both...more than I can say.
Exactly!!
Me too!!!!! They are JOY personified!!!
I Love You Steve Martin
I can see Steve Martins bifocals. They're technically senior citizens, yet move better then men half their age. Love these guys!
Aw. They're the best.
Martin & Martin....Love!
If they got married Martin Short would be Martin Martin.
I’m with Martin Short on the PC stuff
I was cracking up watching the netflix special! they are classically funny, they dont disappoint. you must watch it, it’s better than most comedy specials on there.
So glad I got to see this! I typically get to watch about half of CBS Sunday Morning before going to church and hated missing this. Love them both!
Still a great couple of guys (two wild and cuh-razy guys!), Only Murders in the Building is great. So glad they're still at it. Excited for the new Doc about Steve on Apple soon!
Saw the Netflix show. Freakin’ hilarious. Amazing performers - and I adored them when they first started. Ageless energy, creativity and laugh/crying humor.
King Tut skit used to be one of my brother in laws favs on SNL which he always watched. My son was only a few months old and Chuck would sit him on up on his stomach (my BIL’s) and repeatedly say “well excuuuuuuuuse me.” My son would just laugh and laugh until the poor thing had hiccups and there would be a puddle of drool on my BIL’s stomach. I know, weird family moments.
I love those guys and they’re Netflix show is hilarious!
Two wild and funny guys! God bless' em!
I like Martin Short so much more than Steve Martin I gotta admit... Whenever I hear Martin Short change his tone in a joke to that slightly manic yelling thing he does for emphasis?... I almost always burst out loud laughing from the sheer goofy sound to his voice lol. He portrays a frazzled buffoon perfectly and it's CONSISTENTLY funny. His appearance on Arrested Development is probably the best piece of comedy I've ever seen in my life. No matter how many times I watch that scene where he's reintroduced to the Bluth family, I always end up with sore abs from crying laughing so hard. I just love him, seems like a total sweetheart.
Steve is a great sort of counter balance to Marty. Almost like the best "straight man", but terrifically funny in his own right.
I love that they show up in suits (and crazy socks, at least MS does!), maybe that's part of the classic bit. And that they are really Gentlemen.
Do you remember what season that was? I need to watch, can't believe I haven't yet.
Thank you for mentioning it, I'm actually writing it down.
Their Netflix special is very entertaining. A lot of laughs.
I’ve seen this show in Chattanooga. Brilliant
They're really friendship goals. 👏
Imagine how fun your home having laughs all the time
They had sound problems at the Beacon but it was still a thrill to see them

Still amigos after all this time.
National treasures; the both of them.
TralfazConstruction what nations? usa & canada?
Watch their show. It's very good.
Beta thank you would look it up...love these guys !
❤️
They should do a movie together with Dyan Keaton and Kathy Bates as older couples. A rom-com or friendship comedy movie.
68 and 72, but they move better than me at 26 ...
i hear wedding bells...
love you guys....call me
HW
Maine USA
M S amazing performance in Merlin with Helena ....
The Martins.
i love to see the legacy from Jerry Lewis through these two (and Jim Carrey) and down the line to contemporary comedians.
Nice piece!
(exported with field order reversed tho :))
SMMS MSSM ? Wich is correct?
Jiminy Glick approves
What happened to Chevy?? ; )
It was better when it was Jiminy Glick talking to Steve Martin. lol
This was good but I got a little distracted while watching the good looking interviewer. It's not about YOU Martin Short & Steve Martin...
lol
Being your own barometer is the problem. Some of these people don’t have enough borders, filters, wherewithal to know the “appropriateness” of what is inappropriate NOT to say. That’s why others have to chyme in.
I sure would love to see Chevy Chase join up with the Martin's & make a Three Amigo's movie again, love those guys since I was a kid in the 70's!
What a dope.
Someone needed money!
I enjoy both them but I have to go with Short a little bit.
It is fascinating that all their skits back in the 70s and 80s will be depict as Politically Incorrect and that's all because of the far-left which they happened to be go figure!
I hope these guys aren't dirty.
Marco Polo They take baths every single day
Taydra Brookshire
I'm referring to the recent news about Morgan Freeman.

I never quite got Martin Short's appeal.
great as The Mad hatter in Alice in wonderland movie
I love both these people, but they seem so out of date, that I`m scared to watch this......
Their jokes seem really outdated.....
That being said.....CBS; what are you doing?? That voice-over sounds like it came from 2007.....
Please don't do that in 2018....
They are cute but not that funny sorry
The Netflix show was truly awful. They have no material.
