Her voice reminds me of Pam Tillis's voice. Meant as a huge compliment. I think that Pam Tillis's voice is definitely underrated.

Music is not about how old you are- she is a true pioneer in women taking the stage with wisdom and knowledge that will speak to the masses. People that say such think obviously missed out on their life purpose and have to squash others life purpose. Kate is a breath of fresh air and will make some massive dents in the music world.

I hope Miss Hudson keeps in mind that there have been folks who constantly told Dolly Parton SHE couldn't pursue her dreams of singing, songwriting or performing and in 2024, here she is at 78 STILL doing all the above despite the naysayers and incredible odds!

It's interesting to see her embrace her musician side after all those years of her and her brother repeatedly publicly disowning their dad, which is mainly where they get their musician skills. Good on her for taking that step.
I agree. She publicly disowns her dad but has had relationships with musicians and now she wants to do sing for a living. Thank God she founded Fabeltics because her acting career was going down the drain. I'm pretty sure this is how her music career will tank in a few years.

Wow you people are awful and wrong,her mother is also a great singer,she doesn’t Bragg about it ,Goldie could act,dance and sing like the best of her generation ,on the other hand ,Bill Hudson is just another musician with a much lesser career then his ex wife and daughter ,Kate’s talent comes more from her mum for sure !
I was shocked to hear her mention him and then call him "Dad."
She has always been negative about him and said Kurt was her father.
Now, that she is trying to be a musician, she allows him to be in the picture.
I adore Goldie but I do think there was probably some "parent alienation" at play between Kate and her father.
No matter, though, they all have money and will be just fine.
Most of us are just trying to survive this God-awful position we are all in!

@@adelaferreira4575 Let's be real. She was a mediocre actress. Bunch of rom com movies. She has a nice voice but I've heard better ones on "the voice". Her name will sell records and some shows but she's too old at this stage of her life to stage a music career. Fabelitics is providing her income to do her silly hobbies like singing.
I love the movie and one of the reasons was her role in it. She is such a talented woman and I can't wait to hear her album. I am also a big fan of her mother, who made me laugh and showed that "dumb blondes" are not dumb, at all.
The guitarist most visible, and probably the band leader is Joshua Ray Gooch. Gooch for 8 yrs was Shania Twain's lead guitarist. Besides Gooch, the incredible drummer Elia Wood, bassist Derek Frank, and Twain's band leader Cory Churko made up probably one of the best backing bands ever. Gooch earned this.

I still remember right after Ryder was born, Kate had to lose the baby weight to film Skeleton Key. And now the kid is off to college. Time flies by for sure. So good to see how much she loves her kids.

She really has a good voice - and those songs are actually pretty good. When this first started, I rolled my eyes and was expecting to cringe. Nope. Good for her!
She’s right though, when you’re a major movie star, it’s so hard to try to do music at the same time and be taken seriously. You can be a singer and do movies at the same time, but being an actor/actress and doing music at the same time is much more difficult. She was smart to wait, because this is the right time for her. I’m rooting for her!

I hope that what Kate has done can give inspiration to people 30s and above to go after their dreams. We should stop obsessing on kids and teenagers, they should enjoy their youth and experience life. People with life experience and who really know what they want should be given the chance.

i had no idea her voice would be so SOULFUL and lovely. and the songs are great too - the kind of music i wish there was more of out there, not the same old homogenous bull. also--she aways struck me as a musician who instead chose to hang out with musicians while maybe putting her own musicainship to the wayside. (sheet, as i write this, i realize that's me too - did music in high school and college and then after college always HUNG out with musicians instead of doing it myself even though i'm good too!!!) so her setting free this part of herself is freaking awesome to see. i'm also 45, and society says we are 'old' over 30 - she's helping that change... her soul will speak to likeminded souls, whether she's 16 or 80, what she has to say resonates with the right people. but her example of it's never to late to start (even though 45 is young!) is a good message for anyone. a trailblazing person. listen, you dont have to be bach to make a difference in someone's life or make waves in the musical world. just someone stepping up and sharing her talent with confidence is an inspiration. and putting out music with heart and soul is so welcome and needed now, in a time where a lot of songs sound the same. thanks kate.
