In this video Angie and I go on an overnight hike in the Secret Mountain Wilderness of Sedona, Arizona. It was a rough road to drive in so a 4x4 high clearance vehicle is recommended if not required to do this hike. For us the Jeep was able to handle it and we were rewarded with beautiful solitude in the Coconino National Forest's Red Rock District.
We hiked a loop the consisted of three trails; the first trail was Secret Canyon Trail (where we camped and hiked further down), on the second day we backtracked on the Secret Canyon Trail before reaching the David Miller Trail and hiking up a few hundred feet elevation before turning back down the mountain on the Bear Sign Trail. Each Trail was beautiful in their own unique ways and we really enjoyed all three of them.
Since we had been camping over a week straight in Sedona with no access to showers we decided to spend the night after our hike in a hotel. It was the night before Thanksgiving so rooms were expensive in Sedona so we drove up to Flagstaff before returning to Sedona for one more overnight hike.
Thank you for watching, don't forget to subscribe and hit the thumbs up!
Thanks again you guys! All the best to you!
Beautiful Sedona!
We need to go back..
The Sedona area looks very pretty. That drive in was certainly challenging. Glad you didn't have any problems.
Yeah I think the road was more rough than the hiking trail in some places!
Hey... Did you get any weird vibes in there? I do this hike fairly regularly
Hmmm, I don't recall any weird vibes 🤔
@UCq3A_rDoB80ATHFy9AHk_fA no I'm not. You have me intrigued now..
@@WanderingBlock the path gets pretty tricky and kind of naturally encourages you to turn around. It goes back for quite a ways actually. Feels very weird, IMO, back in there
@@Philotsofur yeah I know it shows there's more trail on the map we had but when we reached the point we turned around navigating did start to get a bit confusing.
I did some reading and I see now that the David Miller Trail is actually named after a hiker that went missing in the Secret Mountain Wilderness.
@@WanderingBlock anyway to DM on here?
