- This video is “Part 2” following our previous CZcams video PART 1 Dowel Pinning a 3 rotor 20B where we showed you all of the machine work to properly install our dowels and studs We will show you all of the CNC porting and other custom modifications while focusing on the function of the strength modifications
Adam, I want to tell you that you are a true mechanic. I admit I know little about rotary engine. However I have been a 6 color pressman for 42 years. Offset printing presses are 900k +++$. The unique mechanics that service those machines have certain attributes that guarantee success. You sir have those attention and skills, that guarantee a customer receives the maximum amount of power/value.
I noticed that your hands have that “touch” to assemble correctly. Your camera man does a great job. I truly enjoyed your commentary.
P.S. I tried to watch another guy (Englishman or Aussie) do essentially the same rebuild, that fellow just was not professional.
Really enjoyed the 2-3 hours. You also have a organized shop.
It is a very carefully made 20B engine
In this case, I think that both power and torque are outstanding
Rotary fans from Japanese
I wish for your success
Thank you
amazing work Adam.. I'm glad you're building my renesis!!
Love your detailed and dedicated videos. Subscribed. Passed 6 months been saving money every paycheck for my own FD project. So far you guys are my number 1 20b builder.
Would love to help-
🤡
I love this video salutations from Puerto Rico it gave me some insight on a 20b
Excellent work!
Epic . Love your guys stuff . I would still love to see a Dyno of the MSP after a full porting !!!!
Sadly the Renesis engines arent real impressive so unlikely we will ever show that. Porting helps but not like the response on RX7 or boosted engines
Who do I speak to about claiming compensation.. I want a rotary because of you guys, you've basically ruined my life 🤣🤣🤣
HAHa !!
Nice work!! I’m keen to see a PP sleeve install with sealing side ports, water jackets etc!!
Soon
Yes keep these type of content coming brothas!..
Will do
Thanks for taking the time
you're welcome!!
Awesome video!
Thank you
Nice work, I will have you guys build my RX-7 Engine in the future.
Looking forward to it
Love your videos, but I feel like I’m in 1998 every time I watch (Star Wars intro is awesome😂). Very informative stuff :)
The rotors from the intro is their 3d cad desingn 😂 ...all jokes aside good content!
Haha never thought of that but yeah...
Excellent work. Thanks!
Hi do you have an email adress or fb on which i could contact you on. i have some quiestions i would like to ask you.
adam@rotaryengine.com
I was referring to the owner of the vihicle. I have sent you a email about a different matter.
Your welcome
nice project🔥🔥
Like always great work brother! Would love to see them in Action if that’s possible 😁
Will work on it
anyone else get recomended this after watching robs video
In Australia we have the cheapest rebuild kits and rotors or anything rotary. Australian have been doing rotary for more then 40 years even in new Zealand. Also Canadian dollars are more then Australian Dollars
That is opposite to what I have been led to believe. I sell to Aussie's every month...even hard parts. Maybe you have good contacts
Great build, I was going to send you my low mileage 12A housings to refurbish. Since the Australian government has brought in 10% GST on everything it's made this option very expensive at my end.
MrStoneycool69 15% gst here in New Zealand . And if we import anything over $400 they sting us with 15% tax on that as well .
The taxation system has gone mad I think England has something similar with VAT.
MrStoneycool69 madness aye . Just Take from the poor and Give more to the rich . They pay no fucking Taxes and we pay all .
Yes, the monetary system is completely flawed, based on inflation and debt. But that's another story.
Yeah Id be saving your $ its probably not worth it
Love these videos! Instills a lot of trust in you and your shop. One thing I haven't seen commented on a lot yet is the usefulness of billet plates. I get that they're lighter and conduct heat much better, but what other benefits might they have and how do they compare to a well done set of irons?
Billet plates were designed for strength, they have many downsides including overheating. Although, aluminum dissipates heat better than cast iron, billet plates do not have proper cooler provisions and thus can only run under load for short periods of time like drag racing. I don't comment on them much because I don't use them because of their limited use. My personal engine is an all aluminum 20B but these housing are cast aluminum and therefore have plenty of cooling provisions built in. The primary reason I chose them was the weight savings and better heat dissipation. The downside to cast aluminum is of course strength...not nearly as strong as billet, hope this helps.
@@rx7specialties203, yes, very helpful. Thank you. Is all of the above true for all billet plates? I was thinking of the ones from Aus that use inserts for the wear surface. Do they overheat as easily? Anyway. I'd love to see a video covering the different aluminum plate options out there. I think this is generally a weak spot of public knowledge in the rotary community.
Bitchen video & company RX7 Specialties ....thank you for all your postings !
your welcome
I noticed you didn't use silicone under the front plate. Any particular reason?
We did it in advance to installation on the bench
How did everything go for the dyno horse power wise? ? im currently building up a semi pp with a gtx4202 and curious as to what i can expect from pump gas.

Why are there so many reliable big hp 20B that are 12.7mm studded out there these days? Have they improved how they do it these days?
Can you use 3 of those large dowel pins on a 13b, the ones you put on the back of the block on that 20b
Yes you can
What would this cost to build with new parts and an aggressive street port?
Where do you get the drilled long dowels for the back half of the engine? I did not notice them on your website.
They are part of a kit we make exclusively for this application. We dont sell the kits by themselves. They are part of a package which includes the machine work
Hey Adam could you explain the following. You mentioned the factory function of the stepped down dowels in the front section of the motor is to keep a accurate linebore and so that the front section could move.
Does'nt these studs that go all the way through the block which you added for additional strenght lift/undo this function?
The holes for the studs are also clearanced in the front.
Johnny is correct...the front have some clearance
that would negate the reason the studs and extra dowels are in there then if the front plate and housing can still move, no matter how you tention your bolts/studs
@@mrenforcer still limits twisting of the engine beyond built in tolerance while protecting the bearing. It is hard to achieve the line bore if not impossible with studded three rotor using stock cast parts. Once Adam figures out his aluminum plates, who knows.. maybe he will be able to stud the entire 20b engine in the future.
Thanks Johnny. I love it when someone can do the talking without me having to proof read first. Well said. BTW Even though I have corrected my line bore on my alum engine by installing an .030 sleeve over top of the center gear along with reboring the footprint....I am STILL using the same method on the alum engine because the LONG 2 pc E-shaft can still cause run out at the utmost lengths between bearing positions, Further to Matt's comment, this does NOT negate the reason because once the engine finds center and is locked down there will be pressures from a combination of different points of all the dowels and studs combined.
I’m moving to Canada so u can build me a rotary !!
How much would a motor like this cost ??
Hello guys.. do you ship international like to Australia?? There is like only 2 rotary shops here and dont care to purchase from them for my shop.
Yes we do!
@@rx7specialties203 can you get me the best contact details to get in contact with you thanks.
All of our contact info is at the end of the video
adam@rotaryengine.com
How can i contact with you?
All contact info is at the end of every video

Additional power...not extra. :-D
Haha well said
