    Keep more products like this coming! One with a ac outlet and even aux would be great as well.

    I received the usb port today. The 3d printed piece like great! Thanks for the sticker Chris. Unfortunately due to my work schedule I won't have time to install it till some time in Nov. I'm looking forward to it!

    You've got the cup holder wiggle mod installed too. It only takes 230hp to make your drinks and the cup holder end up in the back seat

    Not bad at all! Wishing you had shown the what you did with the connection more clearly, but good job.
    Adding a power switch to the plate would be great for those with power drain concerns who don’t want to plug and unplug things all the time.

    Nice build, but just for security I'd add 5A fuse in between that wire to back. Just in case that Amazon converter goes bad. Also I'm a little concerned to leave that thing powered up for 24/7.

      That is a good idea, although I guess that if it did fail, it'll just pop the fuse for the cigarette lighter as a safety mechanism.

    very cool, are you planning to make them in different colors to match the trim? also, once it’s installed, is there a way to remove it?

    • @TheBimmerBarn
      @TheBimmerBarn  Před 2 lety

      For now, they are dyed black with UV resistant coating, but they can be painted. To remove, just use a plastic trim tool from one side!

    Hey! do you think you could make a version of this with a 12v to 9v/2a converter (instead of the 12v to 5v converter it comes with currently) for fast charging? Thanks

    the radio / headunit did not have any extra powered usb ports?

    • @TheBimmerBarn
      @TheBimmerBarn  Před 2 lety

      It does have USB ports, but they're made for data transfer, and charge verrrryyy slowlllyyyy

    Is the inverter included in the kit you sell?

    • @TheBimmerBarn
      @TheBimmerBarn  Před 2 lety +3

      Yeah! With the connectors, correct length wire, etc. I figure most people don't have a 3d printer, so I can just print and build them and all you have to do is install it!

      @@TheBimmerBarn great, thanks! I just purchased one. What about the epoxy? Do I buy that separately?

      @TheBimmerBarn  Před 2 lety +2

      @@thrty8street No sorry, let me explain; I assemble everything myself, all you have to do is take apart your car and tap the wires! The power inverter comes installed in the faceplate already 👍
