- We got a brand new overlander vehicle to go explore Ol Pejeta Conservancy for a few days and help out our friends from the Cheetah Project.

This converted Toyota Hilux by Ironman 4X4 Kenya has literally everything any overlander fan can dream of. I appreciate these truck tents, can't imagine having to sleep on the ground during a thunderstorm. Also did not know we have so many companies offering trucks for camping.
We did sleep on the ground in a tent once in Ol Pejeta and we got surrounded by Haynas loll...
I haven’t seen Weaver birds in more that 13 years. And they are just as beautiful and noisy as I remember them. The very dark rain clouds are enlightening to see again. They don’t get that dark here. And the cheetahs 🙌
They are beautiful bird for sure but yeah... SUPER LOUD! hahahaha

They both died of natural causes. No poachers in Ol Pejeta as it is one of the most heavily guard park in the country.

At the camping site I can see there is a Tower light are you allowed to use the tower light at night? And if you are allowed is the fee included during booking i mean is there extra charges for it?
I'm gonna be honest, I did not notice it... The camp was pitch black at night so even if the tower was there, it was for sure not working.

That they let you fly a drone in a game reserve, two of mine have been shot down.
It's pretty hard to do indeed but I have a permit in Kenya and got clearance from the control office in Ol Pejeta.

Very safe. It’s a place they’ve been visiting for quite some time so they are aware of it.
