- We spend 2 days at The Ark Lodge located in Nyeri, Kenya inside the Aberdare National Park. This hotel is a true animal sanctuary and the home of so many elephants.
Located right beside a salt lick, this hotel is the perfect location to see some African Buffalos, Antilopes, Hyenas, Baboons, Birds and of course ELEPHANTS! We had never seen that many elephants in our lives before staying at The Ark Lodge.
Did we tell you that the food was also amazing? Because it was! We even went on a little safari with our Land Rover. If you are ever in Kenya, a little trip up north from Nairobi is really worth it to experience The Ark Lodge.

this is the same area,where princesses Elizabeth ascended the stairs as princesses and the next morning she descended as the Queen of England..they sent a princesses to Abardare and received a queen from Abardare...I hope ur visit will bring lucky to you too..

Different resort but same National Park... For Queen Elizabeth it was Treetops.

The ark is such a hidden gem. When i went there as a kid, i will always remember how cozy the rooms were and getting up in the middle of the night to look at animals. Also, might i add that Uganda has some nice places also, such as the nile safari lodge. 😊

One way to get an extra kick in a safari is to look out for the birds. Kenya holds the record for most bird species spotted in a single session

When it's raining, just avoid parks, animals have lots of watering points within the bush. During the dry season you'll see herds of all the animals at that main watering point.

Wildlife generally enjoy the rain, especially elephants, buffaloes and rhinos. The big cats find places to stay relatively dry but they also don't mind it too much. Also the Giant Forest Hogs are really special to see. That place has so much history and is well known for their animal visitors :) Glad you are enjoying your safari!

aberdares are known as scotland on the equator since they attracted the settlers due to the great weather..great place to visit. they also provided the cover for our freedom fighters.

Fun vlog. I miss Nyeri my other countryside home with peaceful serenity, the view of Mount Kenya and nice cool weather. Can get very sunny sometimes during the day but mostly followed by rain but in the mornings and nights is very chilly since it's in the highlands (Mount Kenya around) 😊
