Meru National Park is very unique as it is much more vegetated than the rest of Kenya. This can make animal sightings a little bit tricky but there is nothing impossible with one of Elewana's experience safari guide. We saw everything from elephants to lions, giraffes and even rhinos.
The camp itself is everything you could expect from the Elewana Collection. Beautiful tents built into the mountain with tone of natural features, outside bathtub, patio overlooking Meru National and of course some delicious food and caring staff. And let's not forget their amazing pool and suspended bridge!

When pronouncing Meru, stress both syllables e.g pronounce the first syllable Me as in medicine and the second syllable ru as in rules - Me.ru. There you have it. Actually, Trace was pronouncing it right.

Meru is a hidden gem. One time the most popular park but now it is largely forgotten. My family is from that county and I've been there countless times but only visited the park during Covid time. like you said it's off the beaten track so you enjoy being one of the few around plus you get to see so much in a short time. next time take the drive around the mountain to there it's very scenic

KENYA FROM INDIAN OCEAN, To Nyiri Desert, also called The Nyika, or Tarudesert, desert, south-central Kenya that lies about 50 miles (80 km) east of Lake Magadi to Chalbi near the Ethiopian border, to the great views of amboseli , great rift valley escapement and cliffs and finally to the cold desert and snow of Mt Kenya in Meru. There is so much for Dave Mane and partner. I wouldn't be surprised if they chose the ntashart ranges as home near Nairobi or the beaches and wilderness areas plus mountains to set up their home and resorts.

Nice work guys BUT Elsa's kopje is not the "only" safari Camp in Meru national park. There's Rhino river camp now known as porini luxury camp, soon to be reopened by the county govt.-Leopard Rock and just outside the park is a well furnished affordable luxury camp referred to as iKWETA Safari Camp. Meru has much to offer🤗
Actually, not that I want to argue but yes there is other camps in Meru BUT Elsa is the only one INSIDE the National Park.

Elsa's Kopje is great until you visit Rhino River Camp, Meru National Park. Next time visit Rhino River Safari Camp and you will not be disappointed. Wish I could share photos here.
