  • There is over 220 pyramids still standing today in Sudan but no one is talking about them... Today, I am taking you to three different archeological sites include to the Lost Pyramids of Meroë, just a few hundreds of kilometers North of Khartoum.
    This trip was organized with the help of the Italian Tourism Co. Very professional team and delicious food, even in the middle of the desert.
    www.italtoursudan.com/
    We left Khartoum early on Friday morning and headed North to visit three different historical sites. We made a few stops on the way for food and coffee before setting up camp in the middle of the Sudanese desert just a few meters from the Nubian pyramids. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!

    Sudan is home to the ancient kushite/nubian empire. I suggest people read about the ancient history of these lands and their prominent figures like king piye or the warrior queen amanirenas
    These ancient kingdoms in sudan are some the oldest cradles of civilization in history, alongside ethiopia, mali, egypt, etc.

    Kudos!!! Amazing job on creating the spectacular videos of Sudan and the pyramids! I had been planning a trip to photograph the pyramids in Meroe late last year but had to cancel due to the unrest that occurred in October. I've been thinking about resuming my plans to travel there in November or December of this year and wanted to know about your experience and opinion about safety since last years coup. From your videos, It seems that there has been significant improvement. I travel with a couple of dslr cameras and a drone and would like to use my drone for some aerials of the pyramids. Do you know if drones are permitted - were you able to take one in? Your opinions and recommendations would be gratefully appreciated! Thanks for the help and congratulations on the great work promoting Sudan!

    • @DaveMani
      @DaveMani  Před 2 lety +3

      Thats awesome! For the drone, I wouldn't... I did not bring mine. I read a lot of stuff online and the different law in Sudan just about filming and it is VERY restrictive so I would stay low key as much as possible. They scan everyone's belonging prior to leaving the airport.
