    This is the classic greeding scenario.. it entices you to greed (for victory points), slows you down with various effects, and then escalates very rapidly to an unwinnable condition, punishing you for greed. But thank you for the great content!

    After watching your Arkham Horror playthroughs the last couple of months I just wanted to tell you that I love your streams! I've always been a "net-decker" when it comes to AH:LCG, but watching you guys delve into deckbuilding and explain your reasoning and decisions on different cards, it has helped me building decks myself. Me and a friend are now 3 scenarios into Path to Carcossa and we have found a new love to this game thanks to building decks on our own, and much of that newfound love are thanks to you guys!
    By the way, you cannot discard a hidden card by a random effect (discard a random card):
    A hidden card “cannot be discarded by any means except those described on the card” (The Path to Carcosa, page 1).
    Thank you all at Team Covenant for making excellent content!

      So great to hear! This upcoming Friday will have some really solid deckbuilding tips. Hope to see you there!

    Jim's Trumpet can trigger no matter who draws the Skull! I think there was at least one instance of Zach drawing a Skull in which this trigger could have been used.

    Just want to say, because it appears to have happened on this video onwards, thank you for filming the encounters the right way up! I can't watch the earlier upside down ones, it drives me crazy >_

    My suggestion for your card layout... We don't need to see your token pile, the encounter deck and discard, or the token legend. Moving those up the table, just off screen, would give you some more table space for the important cards.
    Thanks again for the great content. As a new Arkham player, I'm loving the deck building portions of the streams.
    Keep up the fantastic work!

    the action on The Man in the Pallid Mask is not a Parley action, so at the end of the game when your tried it, the Poltergeist would have gotten an opportunity attack against you! ;)
    Greed is definitely the reason you lost this scenario! :P ahah! I like delve too Deep but I use it only at the end of a scenario when I know I can't go further or that winning it is easy with 1-2 actions! Also a tips about using it: Always use it in the first action of the phase! So you and other investigators have actions left to respond to what they'll draw!
    Also you forgot at least 2 times to take horror with Jim because of Shrivelling! I know it's hard to remember but this changes a lot of things and in this game would have defeated Jim 1 turn earlier.
    Apart from that keep up the good work and thank you for your video! :)

    I'm so glad I can finally start watching these. I was unlucky enough to get the MitPM on the 4 shroud location, so I just gave him the ole one two punch with Nathaniel.

      It's amazing how different the experience of this game can be, even with the same investigators. When you start throwing in different investigators, it's almost infinite replayability.

  • @SaschaKleiber

    2:11:26 Unfortunately you cant get rid of the hidden encounter card on your hand like that... Golden rule in the Carcosa-Rules state that you can only get rid of it by the effect on the card: "A hidden card counts toward your hand size, but it cannot be discarded from your hand by ANY means except those described on the card. "

    This whole series was a great stream guys! I also loved your podcast on Carcosa reflections. I ordered the entire cycle but couldnt find The Pallid Mask. Just wondering how much impact it will be if I miss one scenario? Super excited to play and keep up the awesome work. Looking forward to the Dunwich cycle

      Not a huge impact! Just replace it with a scenario pack like Murder at the Excelsior Hotel!

    • @teamcovenant
      @teamcovenant  Před 4 lety +2

      Haha, Jim's mini card is missing. Jerome is the more academic version of Jim, which fits given that he took two Arcane Research!

    I have a question about the video on advancing from Agenda 1 to 2 at 1:22:45. Why did all the doom on the Agenda clear in this case? Should the doom stay at 6 and give the investigators 1 turn to kill the emissary to reset the agenda? Did my group play this agenda wrong?

    • @teamcovenant
      @teamcovenant  Před 4 lety

      Once the Doom in play hits the number on the agenda, you remove all Doom and advance. Don't quite remember if there was anything weird going on with that one.

    • @SaschaKleiber
      @SaschaKleiber Před 2 lety +1

      @@teamcovenant Actually doom is only checked in the mythos phase, not instantly (only if a card says "agenda can advance by this").

    Man I hate Delve Too Deep. Talk about a trap card.

    • @kennygraham4067
      @kennygraham4067 Před 4 lety +2

      Nah, it really isn't. It just needs to be played very thoughtfully.....ie not with 1 action left among all of the investigators and right before they know the emissary is about to drop right back on top of them. It was a REALLY bad play. He should have held onto it until he was about to knocked out anyway or the turn right before they would win.
