Can't planche? Just plance
Planche lean is way easier
Thank you guys so much for watching! If you enjoyed please check out other videos on my channel and subscribe! Also for more help be sure to visit www.workoutad.com
See you guys soon :)
Austin Dunham What the name of the song your using?
Dear Austin.can you do your videos with Russian
Subtitles??
i want to ask a question, how long would you think it would take just purely dedicating planche workouts, to be able to do a full planche? i can bench press about 120 at the age of 15, early 15 and i only weigh about 116, and i can do alot of pullups and pushups and such
Official_Kreep it took me 2 months but im 14 and weigh about 180 and have been doing calisthenics for awhile so it was easier for me to learn but my friend is 120 and took him 4 months with th same training
Mac Laren ok thank you, I've been doing calesthetics for like a year, I can easily do the craddle planche right off the start so I'll have to work for it, ty
Can't planche? Just do this:
go into a corner and cry
I second that!😂
Nope I'm gonna do it you should do that looser
@@monderzorgani8897 I saw you commented on the bullfrog video.
I found this advise more helpful than austin‘s
😂😂😂
Very informative. I notice that the planche lean tends to work more the anterior shoulders, while the tuck planche variations are more of a core strengthening exercise. Both compliment each well
I love youtube channels like this because they are super simple and easy to understand. Its not some guy yelling and you and being super cheesy about fitness, Straight forward and to the point. Love it!
Extend your arm in front of you. Bend your wrist up so that your palm is facing out and your fingers are pointing up. Now--without moving anything else--watch your biceps changes as you rotate your forearm until your fingers are pointing down.
See how the shape of your biceps changes? This tells you that the position of your hand in the planche DOES matter. By turning your hands out until your fingers are point backward (Supinated), you're shifting more of the burden to the long-head of the biceps muscle.By keeping your hands forward so that your fingers point forward (pronated), more of the burden is on the short head biceps. And going somewhere in between--thumbs forward, fingers to the side--balances the burden across the short and long head of biceps, as well as the brachialis muscle that lies underneath both biceps head.
So wait--which one am I recommending then? The biceps are the secondary muscle on a planche. The primary muscle group is the anterior (front) deltoids, but they'll be engaged no matter what you do with your hands. Juts make sure that your shoulder are both down and forward of your midline (pronated). For hand position, my *opinion* is the best position is with your thumb and forefinger forward, your remaining three fingers out to the side, because this achieves balanced engagement of short head biceps, long head biceps, and brachialis. But for athletes trying to develop planche strength, spend time on all three positions, forward, side, and back, to give each of these three muscles focused development. Change your hand position every two weeks until you achieve the skill, then settle in to thumb and forefinger forward position which offers good balance control even to people with only moderate wrist flexibility.
Intro: Can’t Planche, well just do this *while planching*
You was waiting for a secret to hold planche without having a planche
epicgamercasey223 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Thanx to you I’m able to handstand now after a month( I could barely do 2pushups before). Definitely appreciate your tips and workouts.
Are you serious? Elaborate please. I can do like 50 pushups, but cant do a handstand.
@@Moiez101 time under tension helps. Do handstands against the wall until all your muscles burn then do your pushups after(go until you physically can't lift yourself but go as slow as you can), you'll feel the difference.
@@phaqyou2 thanks! Will try that. I can hold a handstand against wall for about 1 min
@@Moiez101 I can hold for more than that but I just do it for 1 minute and I have started like 6-7 days
@@phaqyou2 thanks bruh will help!
I just went through a 30 day pushup challenge and my pushups greatly improved. I'm headed for a pull up challenge next, then I'm focusing on the planche. I'm 44. #SasquatchFitnessHQ
oh wow great thanks Jaso, great to know, would love to hear how it went
Great video. I've seen lots of videos on the subject...many are showing planche progression, but not explaining good exercises to do to get the beginner going. This video really breaks it down to the fundamentals of the movement...and what to focus on to get a leg up, no pun intended, on making the planche a reality for a newbie. Thank you for the video!!
This is really nice. very concise and covers a lot of information that I have heard from many sources. Such as performing this exercise at the beginning of your workout ( important for nervous system training ). Thank you for the refocusing of this goal, for me, Austin!
awesome video honestly the best planche video ive seen on youtube! you addressed all the questions i had that other videos failed to mention like how often to train and if you could train planche and workout! super helpfull thanks!
Thanks to videos like these, I eventually got the Planche about a year back, and because of that, I was able to get to the Planche Pushup, All of these videos have been helpful. Keep up the good work!
any other suggestion or is this enough? cheers!
Happy Thanksgiving everybody :)
Austin Dunham happy thanksgiving 🍽🍁🦃
Austin Dunham you too bro
Same :)
Austin Dunham merry christmas!
It's not thanksgiving
Thank you some much man, I'vz been looking everywhere for a desent planche tutorial. Thanks to you I can finally do a planche.
So true! Thanks again for your great video
You addressed things i’ve not seen in any other planch video: very helpful
Spot on bro. I just started working on the planche and coukdnt understand all the different work towards programs out there. Its fundamentally a lean so just start leaning! Then next most important is hand position.
Thanks a lot man, your vids are great! Good tips and you make it feel like it's possible to do!
You're an excellent teacher. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
Planche, front lever and one arm pull up are on my list. I recently learned to front lever. 2 more to go💪🏿
It's been 4 years bro how's your progress??
I actually managed my first Superman push-ups yesterday because of your vid. So I'll try your suggestion too on this, and see how much further can I go in abt 2-3 weeks from now. I train my shoulders quite often, so hopefully they will not disappoint me.
Awesome tutorials Austin, cheers!
Great hack, keep up the good work, really good style of explaining as well!
THANKS AUSTIN, This helps so much
I'm learning the plansche as of now but always had the problem of finding an exercise that promotes full balance & stimuli to shoulders down to hands without climbing a tree. Thx this sure will help me progress faster!
Im scared ill smash my face into the groun
Edit: put a few pillows on the ground soo yah
Thats what ı did before train
I found a couch cushion is the best - the right firmness, the right height.
Oof I was doing handstands and smacked my head into a kinda hard side my sofa heard something crack, pillows are key
@@CapybaraEnthusiast882 yesterday I was doing handstand pushups against wall after intense workout I slipped bc of my sweat on ground 😂😂😂I managed to push myself ahead so that I won't hurt my neck

Thanks Austin. Great advice. Will work on it!

Very helpful, explained and demonstrated very clearly.

aww thanks!
great tips man keep it up :)
Not just stimulates your shoulders but also your scapula muscles because they do a lot more work than you think. Same with levers, mostly scap muscles
Man!that's very very valuable advice for planche push up

lmao so I just downloaded this app a couple days ago that gives you programs for you to do that help you progress to be able to do advanced calisthenic moves and the planche is one of them and one of the excesses was the planche lean, and I had no idea how to do that the picture wasn't very clear (now it seems like it was pretty obvious what it was) and then you upload this video, so that was superb timing aha
What was the app
Yooo I had to watch this vid again cuz I was focusing on freestyle and forgot bout getting better planche form, I'm tryna get a straight ass planche thnx for reminding me fam
Austin Dunham, thanks for the tips. I just subscribed to your channel. :)
Can you do a video (tips) on handstands and progression to handstand pushups. Thank you.
very helpful, thanks.
thanks bro for the information
Great video! Couple of question... How much time did it take you to achieve the full planche? And you do only this exercise when you train the planche?
thank you so much, I will definitely follow your advise..... If I succeed I will comment again
Hi, thanks for the tip :) Nice move to train.
