What I love most so far about this new park is the lack of minimalist design and adding a lot celestial mixed with steampunk elements to the architecture. Very refreshing Universal! I just hope the park management and operations live up to the hype and allow everyone to experience this (so far) amazing park with minimal friction.
Right?! It’s great that a theme park actually has a theme (and a good one!)
Volcano Bay involves TONS of friction, so that experience plus the amount of moving/kinetic items shown in the Epic Universe trailers has me a bit concerned. But optimistically this evokes a lot of the positive design elements from the best theme park in the world, Toyko DisneySea. Their central spire seems like a more themed and more ambitious version of what Epcot aimed for (and scaled back...and scaled back again). Toothsome at CityWalk is aging well and Celestial Park looks to draw on a lot of those same design notes plus the space elements you highlight. I think it has a good chance to look original and stay fresh for years.

What is "friction" in this context?
@@QuesoGr7 In this case I'm using friction to describe the resistance present at VB which interferes with guests' desired actions. Primarily I'm thinking of having to park away from the...park...and be bussed to the entrance, the inability to get in line for rides when/if desired, and the wait to depart the park (though that's not an exhaustive list and omits other friction points like security, picking up tubes and lifejackets, lockers, and some aspects of food & beverage).
I love VB. I love the theming and placemaking, the layout (once I got a handle on it), and the rides themselves. But I recently visited Aquatica and even on a busy day it was just so much to park, walk in, jump in a line, and then walk out at the end of the day. At VB on an equally busy day had my party wait almost an hour for a bus back to the garage, and most of that wait was underground or in a queue with high fencing blocking us in.
I'll happily concede that on a slow day and especially if walking from lodging on-property this is less of an issue, but it's enough of an issue at other times to meaningfully affect the overall experience. It's too bad because Studios and Islands compare favorably to SeaWorld and Disney whereas Volcano Bay is a lot more challenging.
universal literally went into creative mode for this one
😂😂😂
Lol
Stephen Spielberg was the creative consultant for the park!
Universal studios has now stepped in creative mode lol😂😂😂😂😂😂
Forget the rides, it looks like just walking around the park would be an amazing experience on its own.
It's great to see Universal bring back the concept of fully original experiences in a time where every theme park is focused on IP-based attractions, and on such an impressive scale too! Areas like this are what truly make a theme park timeless, memorable, and able to create an identity of its own.
YES!!!
But this theme park is focus on IPs. Universal Studios monsters, Nintendo, Harry Potter, and how to Train your Dragon.
@@Nicole-by3ngJust not this land
This park is just as IP focused as any six flags, Disney, or cedar fair park lol.
This park is just as IP focused as any six flags, Disney, or cedar fair park lol.
Finally, a theme park land that is original and more importantly, absolutely beautiful!
And the ones based on IPs look fantastic too.
Universal is already miles ahead of Disney. This is just another big reason why!
This will definitely be remembered as one of the greatest moments in theme park history.
for this gen. imagine being alive when Disney opened
@@1saamor897both monumental moments. He said theme park history which means all of it lol
Honestly, the part of Epic Universe I'm looking forward to most. Great gardens, fun relaxation, and hopefully some good food! Can't wait.
“Putting the park back in theme park” as their other promo video said. What an incredibly simple yet brilliant idea
This looks like such a well made theme park I’m most excited for Nintendo land but everytime I see something new it just amazes me that universal is literally taking it far beyond people’s expectations! This is definitely next level! I love Disney but they need to invest way more into their parks. Universal is serious competition and I’m pretty sure they are well aware of that. So im hoping they both bring out the best out of eachother to compete.. I’m loving everything about epic universe! I cannot wait! Great job universal !!!!
Taking the “Universe” out of Universal was such a smart move on their end for this design. Celestial Park looks beautiful on its own!-but having it be essentially just the *hub* for this entire theme park?!
I’m looking forward to something extraordinary with this one, Universal 🤩
whoever made this animation needs a huge raise immediately, beautiful.
Anyone know what software it’s on?
@@Mijehake no clue probably some expensive shit
MS Paint 2025@@Mijehake
Probably unity. It does not appear to be in unreal engine@@Mijehake
I hope that Celestial Park can eventually be expanded with additional original attractions beyond the carousel and coaster, it's such a great theme and it's so rare to get something completely original from Universal Creative!
High key excited! 2025 gotta come soon
Universal never ceases to amaze me. I am SURE this park and everything about it will be amazing. Keep up the Amazing work!!
I can’t wait to see this. I remember how awesome it was when Islands of Adventure first opened
OMG…..This looks EPIC! I am SO EXCITED!! 🎉
Pun intended.?😁
I’m exited for the Nintendo land fly-through. That donkey Kong coaster will probably be my favorite coaster in the world
Super Nintendo World looks the best! Can't wait for this! Excellent job Universal!
But this time, it gonna be big than the one from Universal Studios Hollywood.
@@VictorGonzalez-xs9ocyup, and it’s supposed to have more rides in the Florida location too.
I wish Texas had a Universal park so I could visit more often
Fear not freind they are making one! @@drowningin
IT'S GONNA BE EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait to just relax with a beer in here. ☺️
This might be my FAVORITE themeing of any land I have ever seen in a theme park. Like EVER! Its so timeless and elegant…captures such a moment in time….yet feels so fresh and current and fits in with so many franchises.
WOW Im completely bowled over!
Your guys NAILED IT!
I moved out of Orlando (and Florida) back in 2014. I'm strongly thinking about moving back, simply because of what Universal Studios is doing with Epic Universe, and the other Nintendo-related IPs they're bringing.
No matter how bad a day I might have had, if I have a UOR annual pass, I know I'll end the day on a positive note with a quick trip down I-4.
Incredible. Simply incredible job.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!
Damn, I want this version of Roller Coaster Tycoon.
This park is gonna be so amazing! 2025 is gonna be epic.
Haha same. Im sure someone playing planet coaster is making this
Finally! We are going to get Super Nintendo World in Orlando!
I’m gonna cry this is amazing 😭❤️
I actually did cry during the initial trailer
go ahead. I won't judge.
As a massive Nintendo fan who really enjoyed the mini version of Nintendo World in Hollywood, I can't wait to see the full size version of it here! HTTYD is a close second in terms of hype though.
An incredible hub to all the portals!
I'm looking forward to this park. I can't wait to explore the epicness that this has in store. I love the central hub themeing. A throw pack to classic park designs and with the thrilling nature that each land has to offer.
I'm getting like an Atlantis/Deco vibe here! Looks very nice and I like that it's an original idea to go with the IP-based areas.
Wow, fully 3d! I wish there was an interactive version of this, so we could explore it ourselves!
There is, it’s on their website!!!
I’m incredibly excited to see the next generation of Universal Parks
I've never been more excited for anything in my life
Looking forward to this next year. 😎
I'm sobbing?? the theming is insane.
this is awesome.
This park Screams the attention to detail and care and color of the 90s which theme parks have been lacking for years now. I am so glad it isnt grey and borning. This is honestly my favorite new design since MGM studios opened in 89.
Amazing 3D simulation of what’s to come. That carousel ride ended up being different than what I expected and they have even more stuff to offer like a play fountain and apparently an outdoor concert venue. Still excited to see.
WOWWWW! Let me tell you, I was gasping every 10 seconds watching this. I was gagged, gooped, and my pearls were clutched. Can't wait to experience this in person!
Im CRYING. Ive been waiting for this announcement and concept art for so long! I cant wait for the preview store to open in city walk!
This looks nice and it's going to be vlogged by all the Disney Vloggers in FL when it opens next year.
This park is gonna be awesome. And judging by the looks of it, they still have so much space to work with in the future. Hoping for a Lord of the Rings themed area one day!
I would LEGIT DIE if they ever opened a LOTR themed land! But do they have the rights for LOTR to use the theme? Someone needs to just build it already!
Another world I have been fiendishly waiting for is a Wonka land like the Johnny Depp Wonka movie! That would be incredible, but I don't know the ins and outs of who owns that franchise.
I'd prefer Wonka over most of these lands@@Purplealegria7
This land looks stunning!! I am very very excited to see how it looks in person.
My family is so hyped! Thank you for making this old guy excited! See you soon
I'm looking forward for universal epic universe when it opens for the public
The Sci-Fi Belle Époque take on the architecture is really cool
Going out on a limb here and say this will likely be the prettiest world to walk through in the park
CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS!
2025 is gonna be a crazy year
The fact that this isn't based of a major ip and leads to all the worlds makes it feel SO GODDAMN CONNECTED
Watching this was emotional. 🎉
This is going to be EPIC.
SO EXCITED!
Fantastic work from the team! I can't wait to see it finished!
Beautiful design. This area feels more Star Wars than Galaxys Edge. Like a different planet which is what it should have been not a desert outpost. The portal entrances are designed really well and can imagine what that will look like in person.
This looks unreal. Can't wait to visit over and over.
SO EXCITED!!
Epic Universe in this animation looks fantastic and wonderful and see how beautiful it is.
The cure for depression is to listen to the video several times and use it as background music.
I can’t wait to be walking through the park! Every part of it looks incredible!
This feels like the Tomorrowland that Disney never gave us.
Looks fantastic... love the amount of trees and greenery
Cant wait for the new addition to the Wizarding World!
Late, but I cannot wait to experience this once it opens. The music is gorgeous! I cannot wait to see this in person :D
This is so exciting, I can't wait! Universal Epic Universe is going to be so amazing ❤
This is totally AWESOME!
Wow!!!!! Excellent design and concepts!!
Absoloutely incredible, what a park this will be! Amazing
The most amazing thing about this park is that it's basically across from my church and even though I live an hour away, I go there every Sunday. I cant wait for this park to open
So awesome! Literally can’t wait!!
This looks pretty amazing.
Very tempting, very very tempting
💕🙌oh yeah I'm excited!
It's majestic!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful design
Love this! Would also love to see a drone fly through of the existing parks with unique angles of Gringott's Dragon spitting fire, and the future, or previous, Hogwarts light show.
this looks incredible!
A lot of art noveau. Beautiful!
im so excited they are bringing back the dueling coasters!!
Cannot wait for it to happen.
Correct me if I'm wrong but this part doesn't seem to be based on an already exisiting IP? I've heard that there are going to be rides and lands with IPs attached to them, but I absolutely love areas which just let the designers go wild! General themes are nothing that should be left abandoned! I'm kinda getting some 90s vibes with this one here and I'm more than here for it.
I was struggling with the concept of this one. Didn’t know what this was supposed to be. But now I understand that it’s the “hub world” I get it. Sort of like a timeless world-between-worlds. Reminds me a bit of the Mediterranean areas of Tokyo DisneySea
Universal 2025 LETS GOOO!!! 🎉😁
I can not wait to walk through in person! 💜
WOW! i wanna go Universal Epic Universe in 2025.
Early gang ⬇️
This is going to be so exciting! 🤩🤩🤩
It reminds me a lot of Fantasy Springs at Tokyo Disney, especially this weird round thing in the middle and the hotel inside the park.
Oh man I can't wait to go and experience this. It looks so good like mind blowing good.
This is going to be the best park in Orlando
Thank you for showing the celestial universal resort park I am enjoying it big fan❤
Great looking park! this flythrough could have been so much more! seriously Universal, you know where I am! Give me a month and you wont believe how amazing I could make this look!
Your parks are so awsome
Looks great. Proud to be a UOAP!
this is spectacular
yes I cant wait
I would die for a Legend of Zelda area
I can’t wait!! 😊
Solid 💯💯
