Plato’s Closet is NOT a thrift store!! It’s a resale/consignment shop!! Thrift stores take clothing from... whenever... but consignment shops, specifically Plato’s is VERY selective and they only choose clothing from within the last year, and from very good, expensive brands ❤️❤️

When you go to the thrift store, If you want to try stuff on, just wear a tank top and possibly leggings, to wear under the clothes. If you feel gross. Then wash them when you get home. Most new clothes at stores have tags that specifically state to wash your new clothes before you wear them, because they have chemicals on and debris from transport.
most thrift stores clean the clothes before they put them out but you should always clean them after you buy them just in case. also most people who donate clothes are kinda rich so their clothes isn't dirty or anything to begin with
honestly, I really hate how thrifting has become a trend. Some people can only afford thrifted clothes, and the prices at these thrift stores are going up because rich people who can actually afford the regular stores would rather shop there and take all the good things :/ If you can afford department stores shop there instead rather than ruining stuff for poor people even more
Me : travel to thailand and get a pair of shorts for a few cents and a really nice shirt for two dollars that is in great and new condition... No, I really did that and bought 9 pants under budget and i am just a student who earns nothing and only recieve pocket money. Trust me. When you go there you will know what i mean.
you can usually find pretty similar jumpers if you google "v-neck pullover windbreaker" or summat along those lines. theyre pretty easy to find, theyre just mainly at sporting shops rather than proper clothing shops. x
